Adjusting the Idle screw at 11.30PM!!
    Great going!!

Dont always keep the Idle at 1500rpm. Try adjusting after every 100 or so kms till ur run-in period, to find the best range.
Remember higher the idle, lesser the milage

in performance duke is slightly better than NS

overall, NS meets all my requirements therefore i prefered NS... if duke was that spacious, Good mileage and with good color option, i wud have definitely gone for duke.

and as of nw u have seen the black Ns with Duke...
Duke with Yellow NS is on the way...
then pics wud do the talking..

Mileage wise Duke is pretty good i guess.. my friend is constantly getting 40+ on even riding in speeds like 90 to 110.. yesterday i got a chance to have closer look at the pulsar 200ns c.. its good but build quality not as good as Duke in my opinion..

        • First Mileage Update

Full Tank Method: Complete City Drive(Moderate to High Traffic)

          Total Kms: 209.5 Kms
          Total Petrol: 5.4 Lts
          Mileage: 38.8 Kms/Lt

Next time I will try the reserve to reserve method... Which would give a Much more accurate result...

Hmm. around 40 na? It will be more clear and real after first service.

Which run-in are you following? Motoman's or Payeng bro's ?

The procedure done was pretty sad according to me...
Also the person who checked was apparently the best person to reach out to in that SVC...
Now I am a lil worried about getting my bike serviced... Please suggest a Bajaj SVC in Bangalore with good knowledgeable mechanics...

I changed my engine oil today... replaced with Motul 3000 4T Plus... Odo Reading 170 Kms... And Yeah... Engine is relatively smoother...
Where did he sprayed chain spray? On brakes?? Anyway, try taking the bike Auto Service, Banashankari 3rd Stage.

              • My oil indiacator is blinkin and i've oly got about 50 kms to t first service.. should i top up with mineral oil nw and go fr service later or jus go with the service oil change??

The oil level is shown in the small window at the bottom of the engine right?? as far as i can see it seems empty. and my gear changes are a li'l harsh too.
                looking forward to your suggestions

Dont worry about oil pressure icon, its a known issue with the sensor. Check the oil in the inspection window, by holding bike straight, not on side stand, it should be atleast half. The gears are that way only, wait till the first service, by that time they will breakin as well.

1st consider @rahul's advice as said above.
                    This is for Topping up.
AFAIK, the bike comes with Dtsi oil which is semi-synthetic in nature. So if u wanna change the oil to mineral one, then drain out the older one, and pour the the mineral one.
NEVER mix two diiferent brands of oil.

U can get it done anytime between 450-700 kms(refer manual)...... it is set to 450 for first servicing so thats the case......

I turned it a bit more in the morning.. as it switched off..when I checked at the signal it was showing 2.5 rpm.. changed it to 1.5k .. I was trying to find touch below 1.5 but I think during first 100 km 1.5 is fine.. will try to find that rpm after I went home..

I have this same issue too..
check the oil level by keeping the bike in vertical position.
if still there is no oil give it for 1st service.

I`ve changed the oil to MOTOL 5100.
but still sometimes the low oil indicator blinks.. but it should be fixed in first service..i hope so..

Lubricating the chain isnt the way to fix the disc noise. As mentioned by others in this thread before, the discs have to be cleaned properly and then sprayed with lubricant. The noise is mainly due to impurities/muck adhering to the discs and thus the friction that results.

Secondly, how can bajaj SVC guys conveniently say that it is a common problem with Pulsar? They have to provide a fix for it instead of getting away with it. What say brothers?

yes please!!! . If you dont pay road tax for Bangalore, you will be stopped by traffic cops every now and then and will end up paying a lot of fine.
