        • As reported by some owners here, the RPM going haywire and the bike requiring to be tuned again and again is ridiculous. Such issues need to be fixed once and for all by Bajaj.

coolant leak is just overflow when the engine gets heated up .. dont worry about that .. disc brake sound is also normal .. just wash it .. adjust the idling screw to stop the engine from stalling .. set it at 1500rpm when the engine is warmed up ..
              Thanks rohan
              other issues are fine
but how can they miss the self start check when the engine is already running.
Also for coolant check there is already an overflow container in place.
Seems like the coolant is overflowing from the overflow container :-P

                • Auto Service, Banashankari

Where did he sprayed chain spray? On brakes?? Anyway, try taking the bike Auto Service, Banashankari 3rd Stage.
He is the authorised service personnel of Bajaj? Can we get our first three services from him? I heard a lot about him and his work.

                  • Mileage and Issues Solved

                    Hi,

With first service done and 1200+ kms on my ODO meter.
I have got two times tank full (extra premium) and got a mileage of 49 each time. Mileage calculated by tankful method.
For a 200 cc motor cycle, its great and I'm extremely Happy.

Earlier Issues Reported & its Solutions:
Today, went to service center as they called to get my bike checked. Today, Bajaj Engineer had given the visit.
                    1. Now, its confirmed that the silencer will be changed. They ordered the part.
                    2. The saree guard was catching up rusting too, it is also to be changed. Ordered.
                    3. The front seat cover is attached to the plastic by some pins. The pins had come out, so the seat and the material used inside was also coming out. So, it was replaced instantly with some other bike which was not sold.

Things still needs to be addressed.
                    1. The rear seat was making noise when I was driving though some very rough stoned area road. So, I removed the toolkit and checked again. The sound was coming too. Reported the same, he said it needs to be cushioned but in normal driving, it has no problems like on smooth or normal rough roads.
                    2. During my gear shift, I was getting false neutrals. Its when you try to go from neutral to 2nd gear. I practically drove down and shown him the issue. But, when he drove, he didn't get any. So, he said trying giving the full clutch and apply proper pressure to change the gear. He said either you are not giving full clutch or just too small pressure to change gear. So, he just adjusted the clutch. I was getting late for office, so didn't bother for the same. Will, definitely look into this if I find it more in frequency.
                    3. The plastic quality used for the nob (which is used to change from On/Off/Reserve) is not too good. It also vibrates and makes some noise at high speeds. Very light, but it does. He said, this is already know to Bajaj and they will be doing something for it. If you also feel the same, let the bajaj people know about this. Drop them a mail.

                    General Feedback Given:
                    1. Generally, service guys and even when you buy a new bike from showroom, people over there generally say : "Please do check that the radiator fans are working at frequent intervals".
I generally do. But, a TEMPERATURE METER should be there to tell us the engine temperature rather than we checking this all the time. This is one feature which I seriously miss and is a must. It will help us, suppose the engine is getting over heated, it means the radiator is not working or we need to stop for a moment to cool it down. It will also prevent any engine from getting seized. Guys, I will also request you to drop a mail to customer care for the same and asking for a remedy.

                    ================================

                    Thanks & Regards
                    Ashwini

                    • A short 700KM review!

A big congrats to all the P 200 NS owners. I have been following this thread since past 3 months without posting anything.
This is my first post and a short statistical highlight of my bumblebee.will post a short review soon

                      First Service - 31st July
KMs done - 720 (300 on Bangalore Mysore highway, rest on Bangalore ORR)
                      Max Speed - 65kmph
                      Avg Mileage - 45kmpl

Rear disc brakes sound was the only issue i reported during the 1st service. That sound was there since the day i took my bike. The sales guy said since its a new bike the sound WILL B there.

Its better to wait till ngk updates the list about which plug will fit in ns... If you are desperate about iridiums then try to know the models of your existing plugs and match them with the current pulsars like the 220 from ngk's database and buy accordingly... Btw fitting iridiums only will not do... To get the full potential you have to buy splitfire cables which will cost you a total of rs5400 with 3 cables and 3 plugs...(rs1800 for 1 cable and plug) What you get in return is, very crisp throttle response, much better cold starts, a small increase in mileage and power which will hardly be felt... Most noticeable difference would be the crisper throttle when you blip it...

I called the showroom people yesterday because they had told me that the next lot will come by July end. Turns out only the yellow and blue ones came. I got pained and shot a mail to the customer care. The showroom guy again called me after some time and told me that a soon as the plant sends the red ones the first one will be mine. He said the lot with the red ones to Chennai was supposed to leave by Monday or Tuesday so he will give a call to me by Thursday our Friday..

well you have to upjet in case you install a airfilter and the ns already have the biggest carb on any indian bike... I doubt if you will get bigger jets in market... Btw by upjetting be ready to loose mileage... What is your main objective behind getting a filter? Is it just for sound? If you fit a filter but dont upjet the carb, you will get a very good increase in mileage as the bike will run lean... At first there will be a some increase in low end torque but overall power with a pillion will go down.... After a few days the extra power wont be felt anymore and the bike will lose the extra power... Freeflow airfilters without upjetting harms the engine in the long run but how long.., it is still a mystery... Some say within weeks, some say months, some even years... Personally i haven't seen bikes with k&n performing poor... One of my friend has a k&n installed in his pulsar 180 without upjetting for more than 60k kms...and still going strong... It all depends on luck... Still to be on the safer side, get the smallest possible filter size and fit it directly on the carburator without hose pipe if you really want the sound.... And avoid k&n...go for cosworth....
