i've been wondering about the same.. i'm gonna head over to pro racing at tnagar with my bike to see if they have any suggestions.. i don lik big cunky ones. i'll make sure it only covers the underbelly and projects a little in front to protect the engine..

i'll let yu know if the above criterias are possible.. asap

          I booked a pulsar 200 NS..

i'm 5'4" inch tall,20yrs....i test drove one also. I could only balance the bike with one leg, while at halt.
so im a bit confused now, whether to go for the NS or not.
is this height (5'4") suitable to ride a NS?
will i end in trouble,if i had to stop in traffic junctions, especially with a pillion..?
I am 5'4". Though i have not ridden the NS yet but i do ride a CBZ Star and whose seat height is almost same as the NS. Initially i had problems with riding the CBZ and too it was my very bike but in due course i became comfortable with it. I too am able to balance it with one leg.

You'll get used to it. Don't worry.

If you already have been riding a bike then not a problem.

If it this your first bike then start out slowly and also without pillion till the time you become comfortable.

When i started i always refused to ride with a pillion for almost a year

Go for the NS and enjoy.

Btw by upjetting be ready to loose mileage... What is your main objective behind getting a filter? Is it just for sound? If you fit a filter but dont upjet the carb, you will get a very good increase in mileage as the bike will run lean... At first there will be a some increase in low end torque but overall power with a pillion will go down.... After a few days the extra power wont be felt anymore and the bike will lose the extra power... Freeflow airfilters without upjetting harms the engine in the long run but how long.., it is still a mystery... Some say within weeks, some say months, some even years... Personally i haven't seen bikes with k&n performing poor... One of my friend has a k&n installed in his pulsar 180 without upjetting for more than 60k kms...and still going strong... It all depends on luck... Still to be on the safer side, get the smallest possible filter size and fit it directly on the carburator without hose pipe if you really want the sound.... And avoid k&n...go for cosworth....
Nice explanation. I think its not that easy overall. Will do some R&D and then decide.

I was thinking of going for white or the body coloured yellow(if i can get it)....... would white look good?

In my opinion Lime green will look Sksy on the Black rims with the Mustard yellow body colour.

You mean the fluroscent green??? Wondering wouldnt it make the already flashy yellow bike more flashier?

Once you get the hang of it, you'll understand better how to use this technique. To shift down smoothly, you'll need to 'blip the throttle'. This is done as below:

                      1. You pull in the clutch, ready for the downshift.
                      2. Just rev the engine a lil bit before the downshift.
                      3. Simultaneously with the lil rev, downshift the gear and let go the clutch.

Also, this is something for all you new riders, whenever you shift up or down be gentle on the gearshift. There shouldn't be a 'khataak' when you shift at all! Shift smoothly and firmly. It's kinda like guiding the gearbox through its ratios rather than forcing it through every gear. Take this from me, I haven't needed to change my clutch plates or have had any gearbox trouble for the 40,000km I owned my R15.
                      wouldn't that decrease thee durabillity

Try some permutations in photoshop you might get an idea on what would look good .

                          Ya Florescent green.
Since the Upper Part of the bike is Flashy with the Yellow colour, the flashy green at the bottom will well comprehend the overall look of the bike.

It will make the bike proportional in overall dimension.
