I'm not from India nor do I know the distance of the road trip planned by MG, however as I see it in the schedule he will stay in Kolkata from August 3rd through August 8th.

    Cheers.

    • @ JK Nice pics buddy And your dominator surely must be dominating any road you are riding on..

To anyone who is being bullied by your dealers, please read my experience -

It has been more than a month since i booked my Red NS. but nothing was getting done by the dealer. As advised by some xBhpians ( whom i am very thankful to ) i sent a mail on 1st august at 10 pm to customer care about how the dealer was treating me. I received a reply to my mail at 4.30 pm on august 2nd saying that i will be getting a call soon. At 5.00 pm, a guy called, confirmed my complaint and said that he will be contacting my dealer soon. At 5.20 pm my dealer called ( most superior guy in the showroom whom i did not talk with before ) and told me that a red NS will be sent in the shipment of 3rd August ( today ) from Pune. He literally pleaded with me to inform customer care as soon as possible because his shipments were stopped until my complaint is resolved. Today morning, i got a message from my dealer again saying that the shipment has left pune and i will be getting delivery on August 8th.

So, I think unless we do something like this, dealers are not woken up from their sleep! And Customer care of Bajaj was very helpful in getting the job done.

Well, Kolkata to Chennai is about 1700km. So he definitely cannot stay put for 5 days if he wants to stick to his schedule. But considering the fact that his schedule started with him completing the Pune-Nagpur-Kolkata distance of 1900 km in 3 days, he can definitely stay in Kolkata for 2 of those 5 days.
Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

The same thing happened with me too bro.. Unless they get a push from Bajaj they won't do anything.. And as soon as they get the call they act so courteous that you become guilty of having called the customer care in the first place

          Btw, which showroom?

Thats exactly what he did with me. He said "Why did you have to call customer care, I would have done anything you asked immediately for you." If that was true, i would have gotten my bike long back. The showroom is Srivatsa international in Nagercoil ( kanyakumari dist.)

Yeah..Bajaj screws them big time i guess.... il share one incident....this was when 200NS had just launched, and SNK bajaj( pune) being company showroom had got the bikes before than everybody else. When i went to the showroom the staff and the manager was very rude and arrogantly behaving. They were not even letting to touch the bikes and sit on them, forget about the test ride. Same time when some local lang speaking guy they allowed him to sit and start the bike and rev the engine. When i complained about this to Manager, he also spoke arrogantly. I got pissed off and i shot a mail to bajaj blasting them, telling them the dealer behaviour and blasted them saying whats the problem with Bajaj in giving test rides when international companies are giving test rides of bikes which are more costly than 200 NS,like KTM,Yamaha, Honda. Also that delaer had told him yellow would take 45 days for delivery and ul not get the bikes in other showrooms even to see. They were very arrogant to have the bikes before than other dealers. but the same day i went to a showrrom in evening ,near by my house, and to my surprise they also had the bikes, and the owner himself came to attend me and gave test ride also. I booked the bike then and there. After that mail came the Magic of Bajaj. The SNK bajaj manager called me next day morning and apologised and said sir u can some and test ride the bike. I said i am not interested and hung up. After one hour again he called apologised and started pleading me saying sir u can and book the bike, il deliver the bike in 2 days with registration, for which earlier he had told 45 days. I told him i am not buying from u whatever happens. He was pleading me saying its my mistake and i want to rectify it by giving the bike. i said no and hung up. Again in evening he called me, said sorry again and said sir give me ur address and tell the color, il deliver the bike to your door step , and u can come and make the payment later on monday. I was like I said boss dont irritate me now and hung up. Thats the magic of Bajaj Customer Care. Hats off to Bajaj.

Could not agree more. Whenever the service centre guys failed to resolve anything to my satisfaction I used to shoot mails to Bajaj. Infact my 220 Dtsi was from the first lot that was launched in Pune, and it had cold start issues, Service Centre guys tried to shake their hands off saying it is normal, and that I should use throttle while starting the bike in morning. I sent a mail to Bajaj, and then magic began. My bike was picked up and dropped from my house at Viman nagar. The bike was picked up and dropped in their van, (the van had auto loading system). Such was the effect of mail, when I complained again of cold start, Bajaj Engineer along with a mechanic came to my house next day at 7 AM to check the cold start issue himself. The issue never cropped up after that. Also, after getting my Bike Joeled, cold start issue never came. It always start with a single thumb without throttle.

I have owned bikes of different brands (Yamaha, Hero Honda) but never experienced such good Customer Service. Bajaj Customer Service is in a different league. Now when I plan to upgrade my ride, I try to look for options within Bajaj (Bajaj/KTM/Kawasaki). The Service Centres may or may not be good , but at the back of your mind you know that a single mail to Bajaj will get things done. Thats the sort of trust I have in Bajaj which is very hard to earn.

Your doubt is correct, but if you are travelling you don't have to pay road tax in any state across India. Proving it is a difficult point... you can have the latest toll tax slips.. Chalan Slips.. or Petrol filling station slips.. anything that shows different state and immediate date.. however.. I personally have travelled .. Punjab , Himachal, J&K, haryana and Delhi.. with Chandigarh number plate.. nobody has ever questioned me.. normally on highways.. police won't stop bikes.

Today, I am noticing oil on the bottom part of engine. Is it a possible leak from engine?
Will be heading to the SVC in sometime.
                            Any inputs people.

If it is near the LHS Cover / side stand, it could be excess chain lube dripping.

No Sir, its on the Right Hand Side. What could be the possible reason? What should be done by SVC guys?
Is this something serious to worry about?
