from the first pic i see that the oil is coming out from the bottom end part of the engine too .. if thats the case then it is quite a problem as the engine will be losing some compression in the cylinder ...

the crank case is not sealed properly .. they need to change the rubber seal to stop the oil from leaking from crank case(minor problem) ...Originally posted by Chaoseater View Post

Tank shine has faded a bit
I had no idea that the shining on the tank could go off so easily.
One day for just about 10 - 15 mins, i had kept my laptop bag on the top of the tank and the shining on top has faded a little. Got it teflon coated during 1st service but still its not shining as other tank parts.
Will post some pics soon. Mine is black one.
So guys, please avoid any kind of luggage on the tank unless it is having scratch proof bottom.
I think since the tank cover is not metallic, possibility of fading is more.
Any suggestions on getting the shining back / retaining the shine ?Last edited by blackbeest; 08-04-2012, 11:57 AM.

Btw: I am so surprised to hear about the Bajaj Customer Service pushing their vendors. Most of the bajaj showrooms or for that matter any bike show room in general the people working there don't impress me. The exception to this has been only 1 TVS showroom near Indiranagar and the KTM store.

scratch on front mud guard
guys.. a guy near the petrol filling station while kicking his bike..came back.. and the red sticker on mud guard had a scratch.. was a very sad.. couldn't say anything.. just a small scratch though..
anyway was not happy with the stickering job on the mudguard.. instead they could have painted the mudguard..instead of cheap sticker/radium..

Here's the pic.Originally posted by twinblades View PostCould u post a Picture of what your talking about?

If we observe carefully, the area in red has faded shine compared to the area in green. Not clearly visible in pics but quite noticeable through naked eye. This is after applying teflon coating.

The showroom is Srivatsa international in Nagercoil ( kanyakumari dist.)True guys.. I think these showroom first dealers first try to grab the bikes and sell them to their kins and relatives and people they know.. In fact, when that guy called me to apologize, I asked him why he gave the bikes to others who paid full, when I would have given the money 2 days later.. He just started saying, "Sir, new bike came sir, everyone liked and wanted the bike, so we gave it to those who paid money first.." As if I was just buying the bike to give it to rent for others??Originally posted by faffy View PostYeah..Bajaj screws them big time i guess.... il share one incident....this was when 200NS had just launched, and SNK bajaj( pune) being company showroom had got the bikes before than everybody else. When i went to the showroom the staff and the manager was very rude and arrogantly behaving. They were not even letting to touch the bikes and sit on them, forget about the test ride. Same time when some local lang speaking guy they allowed him to sit and start the bike and rev the engine. When i complained about this to Manager, he also spoke arrogantly. I got pissed off and i shot a mail to bajaj blasting them, telling them the dealer behaviour and blasted them saying whats the problem with Bajaj in giving test rides when international companies are giving test rides of bikes which are more costly than 200 NS,like KTM,Yamaha, Honda. Also that delaer had told him yellow would take 45 days for delivery and ul not get the bikes in other showrooms even to see. They were very arrogant to have the bikes before than other dealers. but the same day i went to a showrrom in evening ,near by my house, and to my surprise they also had the bikes, and the owner himself came to attend me and gave test ride also. I booked the bike then and there. After that mail came the Magic of Bajaj. The SNK bajaj manager called me next day morning and apologised and said sir u can some and test ride the bike. I said i am not interested and hung up. After one hour again he called apologised and started pleading me saying sir u can and book the bike, il deliver the bike in 2 days with registration, for which earlier he had told 45 days. I told him i am not buying from u whatever happens. He was pleading me saying its my mistake and i want to rectify it by giving the bike. i said no and hung up. Again in evening he called me, said sorry again and said sir give me ur address and tell the color, il deliver the bike to your door step , and u can come and make the payment later on monday. I was like
I said boss dont irritate me now and hung up. Thats the magic of Bajaj Customer Care. Hats off to Bajaj.

I have given the bike to SVC where I bought the bike. They have told me pick up the bike in the evening.Originally posted by Rohan200ns View Postthe crank case is not sealed properly .. they need to change the rubber seal to stop the oil from leaking from crank case(minor problem) ...

The Service Manager said me that engineers from Bajaj will be coming and resolve the issue( He said they have to come by air, it will take time). I really doubt thats the case. He also said there maybe a gasket issues.
NO OFFENSE: Do the engineers from Pune come all the way to attend a single bikes issues? I really doubt that !
Any more inputs?

This i think is bound to happen since you keep the bike covered.Originally posted by chintan99 View PostPulsar logo is loosing its color. My bike is always covered and is hardly exposed to direct sunlight. I think i should get these logos replaced.
Constant covering and removing of the bike cover does this. I dont think changing it will make any difference until and unless you plan to coat it with some kind of protective layer like for eg. a clear coat

Try choke while starting. get the AF mixture corrected by the service centre.Originally posted by rexrex View Postis anyone facing the starting problem ? specially in the mornings... with the absence of kicker one of my friend is having bad time daily.
please advice with the best starting practices...
Could also be a problem with the starter or battery. Check battery water level as well.

Its not due to the cover. While parking the bike i handle lock it so handle covers the pulsar logo and thereby there is no contact between cover and pulsar logo.

Engineers from Bajaj are in Mumbai during the week and they go back to Pune during weekend. They cover most of Service Centres where issues prop up. Though coming by air for a single bike sounds too filmy

Every new engine no matter howlong you test it will have its flaws and weakness....afterall this is a new engine developed by Bajaj....i think this must be true since it has a OIL leak and they at the pune might want to look at it...might be the case it can happen to other bikes as well...Just to study and make sure future engines donot develope this kind of issue...Originally posted by chintan99 View PostEngineers from Bajaj are in Mumbai during the week and they go back to Pune during weekend. Its in the real world that all kind of issues propup...
if the above is true(coming by air) thats a good sign that they are willing to learn....that how great companies are made.....

Checked my bike today and went for test drive. Couldn't resist revving the engine. So went up to 7k for just a moment and came back down..Originally posted by govind.one View PostSame dealer.. Same bitter memories.. he is taking ages to get my bike registered

KLN Automobies, Annanagar!
As regards to the registration, I asked them to give me before Friday but they said they really couldn't give it before next Friday..
Regards to the cover, is there any place close to Anna Nagar where I can buy bullet cover? I asked the hero showroom and they said there's no authentic zmr cover made. Any place where I can check these out too in Chennai?
Also the horn is pretty weak. I talked to the showroom guy about trying to put a 220 to horn to this and he said he can do it.. What do you guys think? And finally attaching some pics with me in my beauty
