Finally, good to see you in this thread...
HAve seen the trailer of powertotherider.com review, and waiting eagerly for the full version.
And I totally agree abt the Spare parts unavailability issue with the NewBie
Some one (i think @antz.bin) said that bajaj might be delaying the launch at kolkata so as to make sure the spares are readily available, (which sounded very much logical), but even after so much delay, if we have to suffer some more with the Spare parts unavailability issue, then damn with bajaj.

The full review should be up online in this week is what I am told. Who knows, may be tomorrow. Do subscribe to the channel to be notified about it (and before I am banned by mods for advertising :P)

New bikes and parts availability is always a concern. Its always better to stock parts if you intend to buy a bike in first lot and ride a lot!
Basic things like Cables, Brake pads, Oil filters, Air filter will see you through 15000KMs (though this doesnt have it) and levers.. I still have stuff for my r15

To the one with Tappet noise... Isnt it fairly too early to encounter tappet noise? Are you sure there is a problem in the first place?

          • First Impressions about P200NS

Finally met P200NS..in one word I describe this bike is just 'AWESOME'.I have seen P200NS on-road & to be honest it looked small at first sight, but now I know I was wrong...had the time to visit a near Bajaj showroom..Its when I sat on this bike I understood how huge this bike really is,the seat height is tall & you need to be more than 5'8"- 6 feet tall to ride this bike comfortably, eve n me being 6 feet tall had to stretch my legs to touch the ground. The tank is fully fibre & big & wide which makes the bike look big...The build quality is far more superior than any other Pulsars, though there are some flaws like the front visor, plastic Pulsar batch & ofcourse the geninue Bajaj switches looks cheap. The headlight is tiny but this bike being a Naked sports bike that's how it should look.Unfortantely they didn't give the bike for test drive, but someone in my area already owns a yellow P200NS..hope to ride his bike...hope to become a P200NS owner soon!

I seriously think as you being the advocate & true confidant of Bajaj. Hats off to you.

              1. We live in India buddy not abroad. The difficulties faced in Indian conditions are totally different than those faced elsewhere.
Bajaj has not done any Great Favour to either me or anyone else in providing a bike under a lac rupees & taking such petty things off.
Kindly tell me my friend with such good common sense that why is bajaj providing all these things in their own Pulsar 150,180,200 & even 220F (tell me is this also not a sports bike or only Naked sports only takes all beating) & even in their cheapest to highest (excepts NS) gets them.

              2. Before replying just verify the bike thoroughly , then reply . It has only single horn & such cheap sound. I hope that by now you must have heard that.

              3. Do you know the daily difficulties we face or you are an alien to that. In a tight parking space where you have no option , but to insert your bike in that , you cannot lock in the left hand side & only right side , then what will you do ? Leave it & let the thief do its work.

              4. Just don't talk in air ok. I am in talks with bajaj & other tire manufacturers. Right now no one has the same tyre size only Pirelli has it. but I will try to get them ASAP.

              5. Dude , I travel beyond city limits 3-4 times a week & 12 liters is not sufficient at all. Is this same with all sports bikes & bajaj's own bike like other Pulsars in which it itself provides the same.
Did bajaj had any enmity while making this bike , I do not know.
Also kind fellow just check bikes average by various magazines & my personal experience not more than 30 or 34kmpl at the max.

              6. Parts availability for this bike & other bikes is an issue. 1. No central stand available. 2. Met with an accident on 21st may right side leg guard not available. 3 . Right side leg brake twisted not available . 1 month is over .
Bajaj will soon raise its price , due to high input costs. look at the business news channels.

All are valid reasons mister, not flimsy. Because he who suffers only knows the problem , not any stranger.
Just one question - "Did you check the specifications of the bike before buying it?"

Thanks guys....then i guess we cant lower them, tho i would have loved to lower them and make lil sporty position.

And reg the confusion going on here reg the tyre grip, i would like to share one incident which happened 2 days back.... i was going home from office in evening, and was in little excited mood, and was riding the bike in some 80's kmph... there was quite a sharp circular turn ( people from pune might understand, the turn ,next to/ahead of aundh signal, when going from rakshak chowk) , i entered the corner with "over" enthusiam and speed and then realized, heck my bike is rolling on Eurogrips, and this fact made me my b*** go in my mouth, but then what followed put an ear to ear grin on my face inside helmet .... the tires stick to the road very well, me almost knee down, and bike at some 65 kmph....... so the moral of the story is the tyres aint that bad...

                  • 1st service done : NOT SATISFIED

Got 1st service done @ Deccan Bajaj - Ranigunj, unable to rectify if he has done anything as per service manual.

While taking bike inn, he told that centre stand is available and air/fuel filters will be changed.

Took bike in evening, svc guy inform centre stand OUT OF STOCK and didn't changed any filter as well, charged me 477 towards oil change and other stuff.

Bike is running bit rough/tight (guess chain is tight - same was case when took delivery). Had taken ride of my friend's 200ns - bike is not jerking in 1-2-3 gears whereas my bike is running tightly and gear-shifts are also taking efforts to be shifted.

Can anyone from HYD with 200ns PM me, would like to meet & share my concerns.
You must be the change you wish to see in the world

In first service I do tell them to make AFR medium. Don't know they done or not.
Now I always start and choke for 20-30 seconds... and the idling will come to 1500. Now there is no power loss or stalling. So waiting for the picture.

                      • hope to become a P200NS owner soon!
Immediately after returning to Pune, I went to Bajaj showroom near Deccan. I saw NS for the first time in flesh..and guys I cannot describe my what I felt that time..I was reading about it, seeing videos, and following this thread from the time Chintan bought his NS. Bike is awesome. My wife does not like yellow but after seeing it she is asking me to go for yellow. I asked for documents and they gave a long list.Price 94K + 600 for center stand. No test ride as it was lunch hour for them. I just sat on it and yeah its huge. I will go for test ride soon.
Now my next plan is to sell my old pulsar..bajaj guys are not giving good price for my old pulsar. I am trying outside...yeah..hopefully...I will be a P200NS owner soon

i bought the bike cover from the dealer itself , and it is pretty good its cost is rs 350. i think 500 is costly check again at some other dealer. the price of center stand is ok
