It is one of the demerit to be among the first few owners. Anyways look for some friend who have good connections in the BAjaj SVC. This will make sure ur bike remains safe with the mechanic, and is not getting ripped by them in the name of Testing.

U can try contactting @RahulBarik, as he has good connection at OSL service at BL Shaha rd, which is very close to his home...

BTW, I guess @RahulBarik has some good news to share with everyone.

I got a funny thought reading these posts. Having 200NS is like having a GF. It gives you a grin to see people jealous. You feel so good, proud when people see your GF, admire it from a distance. But when someone comes closer or try to touch (GF or NS both..), your blood boils. LOL

At the SVC, the chain has been tightened, that noise is normal.
hey even i am getting the same noise but when i checked it thoroughly from where the noise was coming i found that the left handle bar is a little shaky
i got get that rectified on first service

Looks like your AFR is adjusted to little leaner value. You can adjust it yourself if you know how to or get it done from SVC. Its just 15sec job. When set correctly the engine idles on its own without opening throttle @1.3k rpm.

Someone has posted a link on run-in period. Try finding it. You will get a detailed knowledge from it. To me, 60-65 cruise is too much before 1st service. I keep it below 50-55 and rpm <4k. And don't maintain constant speed and rpm for too long, keep it varying, run the engine in all gears. Few short bursts (few seconds) to 65-70kmph is advisable, but gradually go up and come down. After 1st service you can start opening throttle a little more. Please find that link and read it. Or simply Google for it.

Best of Luck with your new bike.
Thanks for the info.. Will check it out

at what RPM is it idling in the morning (first time you start it!).. mine idles at 1k RPM.. after a little spin.. it sits at 1.5k RPM smoothly.. goes till 1.7k RPM max (even after a 35 km ride through traffic!).. I don`t know about the revving it to keep it alive.. is good or bad.. sounds bad to me.. do you use choke to start in the morning??.. speed is fine bro.. I suggest you keep it 65kmph max.. did you check idling RPM during delivery??.. I suggest you get it set a little above 1k RPM.. works for me.. since we reside at the similar locality.. that should work for you!

Hope I didn`t get anything wrong this time!!
No.. I dont use choke for starting..

Well, I would say, get your friends to teach you on lower segment bikes. Since its your new and first bike, you might be blown by the performance of 150-180cc segment as well. Yes, they can do that to a newbie. Jumping on to NS is not bad as they have made it as user friendly as possible, but to enjoy and extract the best out of this beast, try to get some run on lower cc bikes to get a feeling of how the throttle, balance, gearshifts, brakes work. I assure you, since you have got some mileage on cars, by 100-150 kms riding you can jump the graduation from commuter(150-180) to sports(NS in particular). All The Best mate.

                        Answers in bold.
Thanks a ton for clearing that out bro!!

Thank you for the online maintenance chart.

Was just going through the maintenance chart for the NS and noticed two things - post 1st service, every service to be done at 5000 km and secondly engine oil replaced at 10000 km. So this leaves a doubtsis DTSi oil being used is it Fully synthetic?

I have read all over the forum that it being a Semi-synth oil. Is this an error from the company's part or are they serious about it.

Fully synthetic oils should be changed at every 10000 Kms
                            Semi Synthetic @ 5000Kms
Normal mineral oil at 2000-3000 is best
This is the knowledge I have on Oils

                            • Went for a test ride to Dewan Bajaj, Dwarka Showroom and have decided to go for it. Will be getting the NS next month.

                              a few questions:

                              a. Anyone has ever bought or has any experience with the Dwarka dealer or if anybody can recommend a better dealer in the South Delhi area.

                              b. Are there any kind of deals / freebies being offered?

                              c. If i pay full cash at the showroom will i get the bike right away or do i have to wait for it to get registered?

                              d. can anyone advise a good rain/dust cover for this bike. Will a KTM or Bullet rain cover fit on the NS? It should be water proof.

                              e. where in Delhi can i get the IND number plates done and what will be the cost?
