will you change the tyre????i think changing for me rear tyre is more important than a new helmetOriginally posted by Shibadip View PostLet us all meet after we get our bike and then we can discuss the Range/Type/Brand of helmet we want.
Buying 4-5 helmet at once can be made from the whole-seller at retailer's price.ride fast but not harsh

@dip, shiba, souvik: yes thats true we will get good discount if we buy together... Dont forget to ask the price of ls2 phobia in kolkata when you mail ls2...and try to get the number of the main distributor of west bengal.. Will get it cheap price then.. Price of ls2 increased. Its now around 3k.. M in a very tight budget of 2.5k for helmet

yes everybody knows about metiabruz; for instance ...the day bike launched in kolkata, i went to the showroom , being unable to purchase it by cash at that moment i decided to go for finance option..but the moment when i say that i live in metiabruz the person from the bazaz finance says : sorry we will not be financing your bike.
dil to kiya saale ko wahi kat du..
...[/QUOTE]
Why? What's wrong with metiabruz?
Why you didn't pounced on him when he denied to finance? My favourite thing is to go where I have never gone.

Ah ok. Thanks Speedshift. I will check with Dwarka branch. My main concern is that i want to pay and get out with the bike and not leave the bike there for it to get registered. I did this for my first bike which was 8 yrs ago so do not know if the rules have changed now, hence the concern.Originally posted by Speedshift View PostThough Harsh has recommended Bagga Link all the points he mentioned are available at Deewan Bajaj as well, you will get the registration done there only and the showroom is located within the premises of the SVC, I got mine from Lajpat Nagar showroom though. Call them up and see what prices they offer you maybe you can save a few bucks, see which one suits you....
But still will check with Dewan Bajaj.
They quoted me Rs.95,600 (approx.) for the NS. Is any other Delhi based showroom quoting a lower price than this?

Khivraj had some 10 bikes this Saturday the 18th when i had been there.. mostly blues and reds and a black. That time itself they had kept a bike with my name on it.. I remember having seen two reds then.. apparently all of them sold out already leaving just mine and a yellow one for somebody from hyatt... i am not sure about the waiting period because when i was giving the advance they had blue ones in excess or something and they were ready to deliver the earliest.Originally posted by pgaucha View PostCongrats on ur new bike... the test bike was also blue but was not to be seen anywhere.. i just hope that behind all those nice talks they didn't sell that one too to somebody..

I guess there is no thread of trusted petrol bunks in XBHP. We usually ask people on the thread or forum who are in the same locality/area/city. IF you can afford Shell Unleaded/Super then stick to it. I myself I am feeding my Casstiel a full tank of Shell Super which retails at 77.50 INR/L here in Hyderabad. Engine is smooth, less knocking and got a boost in Fuel Efficiency from 48.xx to 52.xx/53.xx KMPL.Originally posted by nilesh14587 View PostHey guys,
Just to tell you my experience, ad some 2 liters of petrol in the tank so in the night of day before yesterday i filled 100rs ka petrol from the petrol pump in front of Agriculture College gate on university road (Pune). The petrol was of such a bad quality that my NS started sounding like it was ripped on day one.
There was simply too much knocking, less power and stressed engine with pathetic firing.
I somehow finished most of the fuel and today evening filled some 6liters of Shell Super petrol.
The petrol you get in Pune is really pathetic quality (adulterated) and many pump attendants are cheats. Do we have any thread like "Trusted petrol pumps" on xBHP??
BTW I will be completing 250KM on ODO by this weekend. And I want to change engine oil (And also wanna get the from disc break sound issue resolved). From whatever i have read on xBHP so far, I know that a mineral oil would be best in run-in period (its cheaper as well i think right??). I don't think DTSi 10000 is a mineral oil, is it?? Could anyone please suggest any appropriate mineral oil for NS?? I will switch back to DTSi on 1st service. With this oil change i can delay the 1st service to 700KM may be. Till then all the issues would have cleared. So i can get them resolved in one go.
You can still continue with the oil you are using right now till the first servicing. Its completely fine if you do so. Or even if you want to change the oil go for DTSi itself but since you are already half way down, I would say hold on till you do 500 on ODO and get it serviced then. Remember you need to change the oil filter as well when you are changing the oil. So just for 250 kms, you will be spending a bit more (oil+oil filter). If you are fine with it, it is definitely the way to go.
For the disc brake sound, they are either bedding/settling in or must have grabbed dust. A water wash should remove the dirt stuck between the disc and the pads. Don't worry. If the problem still continues till first servicing, you always have XBHP or Bajaj SVC for resolution. Its just a 250km done new baby, let things settle down.
Answers in bold. I answered the questions I was comfortable with and had some knowledge about. For other queries, I am looking out for New Breed Beast owners to jump in. @Surojit Dada, you are required here.Originally posted by rogersharath View PostP200NS owners, i need your help on clarifying certain points. I am buying NS in some days.
2) I want to know the OTR price in Bangalore?
I visited the RV Bajaj showroom and the dealer says its 1,01,000 On Road.Is this reasonable?
The last time I heard/read, it was 1,00,4xx in Bangalore. Ask the dealer for a split up. If you have any doubts, we do have NS bros from there who can help you out.
4) Can I expect the same mileage if I change the tyres to MRF Zappers? Or will the mileage decrease? And the skid decreases right? I rode my friends's NS and it skids a lot!!(Any owners have changed them)??
Same profile, same spec - no change in Fuel Efficiency. You change the size(upsize), FE drops. IF MRF is the choice, the best fit is Front - FZ and Rear - R15 Version 2.0. I guess someone has changed it here. By skidding, is it under braking or cornering and which tyre skids more, front or the rear? Try for a 70:30 (front:rear) braking technique. I use the rear brakes to shave off the speed and front + rear for stopping in normal riding conditions. Works well this way for me. But yes, the Eurogrip tyres are not that good, they are just OK.
5) I will be travelling 55km daily, so is the bike comfortable for that?(Anyone facing Back pain)
Yes ofcourse. Our P200NS touring champ, @MG sir has done more than 12000 kms in ~7 months now. @Surojit dada is also our Chupa Rustam
. Its riding posture is good for touring. Its not a forward biased bike like CBR or R15. Its a neutral beast, so doing 55 kms should not leave you with sore back.
Thanks in advance
Ok, I would be calling out @Rohan200NS and @Surojit sir to jump in. For my analysis, check the throttle cable for its freeplay. Too much freeplay will give the above result. Spark plugs might not be fitted properly, but this is a step too ahead. There might be something basic which needs to be corrected.Originally posted by CrashOverride2786 View PostHi Guys,
Right from the time I got the bike I felt a 1 second lag in the engine response when you accelerate fast from Engine Idle. The engine flutters for a sec and then power kicks in.
Has anyone experienced this problem?Regards,
Akash Yadav

If one mods the tyres into soft-compound, there will be lesser FE, than the stock tyres..

revz s at the rear will make the bike look awesome from behind if you take off the hugger ..i would prefer revz s over psd just cuz its a radial one and also costs way lesser ..dont upsize .. the flat profile of revz s will be good enough ..Originally posted by Rahulbarik View Posti will be changing tires...both one... i bought ls2 recently for 2.4k .. the shopkeeper told me to pick any ls2 as all are about the same price .. just 200rs less for the plain ones .. he first quoted 3.6k .. i suddenly laughed at him and told that my friends have bought same ones for 2.4 k and i am not paying anything more ..finally paid 2.4k only ..they will try to tell you that prices have increased but dont believe them .. dont pay more than 2.5k for ls2 ..
if this is happening only at start then you will probably have loose clutch action .. get the clutch tightened and check .. this must probably be the solution ..the bike will jump with full excitement when the clutch action is set hard ..Originally posted by CrashOverride2786 View PostHi Guys,
