There is thread on xbhp on this.

If you want even more info you can look on car forums. Car guys are really into this stuff.

I read wax polishes are the best. Waxpol/turtle are good. Waxpol is indian brand so cheap. Turtle is imported so costly. But quality wise both are good, thats what i read.
Thanks a lot ,finally what have you decided to go with ?

3M wax polish and waxpol wax polish both cost around 80rs , but 3M quality is better ..
3M is international quality whereas waxpol is local ..
waxpol is available almost everywhere , whereas 3M polish is very diff to find ..

grooming kit for my bike includes --
-- sonax car wash shampoo 1ltr 275rs .. purchased from reliance auto zone
-- motomax dashboard polish .. 90rs .. purchased from shell
-- 3M wax polish .. 80 rs .. purchased from auto service pbk svc ..
          -- microfibre cloth .. 40rs ..

playing around with these things for 2-3hrs will make the bike look better than the ones parked in showroom ...

The bike is ridden for about 388 kms so far.
You will require to pull the throttle with the choke on to get the choke working!

Yes, and the best part is that from God knows where it starts to drain water at the parking many a times. My friend was like "your bike is peeing"

            +1, 3M stuff is good.

Talking about the polish, coming from a Black bike, yellow is really amazingly good at maintaining it's shine. Right from showroom to current reading of 2300Kms on ODO, my bike has just been properly washed at first SVC and rest in rains, and it still looks good!

In that case you need to do it by sections, meaning that you clean one section of the chain, then roll the bike some 30-40 cm and clean the next section, keep doing it until the whole chain is clean and repeat the process for lubing, now for the chain slack adjustment you will definitely need center or paddock stand since the rear tyre must be elevated to do it correctly.

When you call them for appointment do ask them that you want to pour your own engine oil and not the DTS-i oil, see what they say, if they are OK with it then take 2 bottles of Motul 3100 gold mineral oil, its the best mineral oil you can get.

Thanks speedshift. Will do it and post the experience.

yes .. black is very difficult to maintain and even minor scratches seem to get highlighed..
silver is the easiest color to maintain ..

The polish I currently use shines the coloured panels and tank brilliantly but can't do justice to the black coloured ones...

If on a budget then you can go ahead with motomax bikes liquid polish or silicone liquid polish.

Otherwise you can go with Collinite 845 insulator wax. This one costs around 1000 bucks.

                              • today a strange thing happend with my bike.

Bike has run 273 kilometers till today. there are 3 bars showing in the fuel gauge.

After riding for about 30 kms today my bike started to slightly loose power, then came back. then after another 15 km ride the power just went off as if it hit reserve, then i parked my bike on the road side turned the fuel knob to reserve and then started again it went smoothly.

Since i have been reading about the fuel gauge not showing the correct reading i just turned the fuel knob to the "ON" position and rode for almost 2 kms without any glitch.

During all this the orange indicator light on the console never lit even once. Hence my confusion if there is something wrong with the bike or the fuel gauge.

I will take a longer route today while returning home and check on this issue to confirm if it is still happening.

My bike has been responding very well to the throttle, clutch and gear shifts have been smooth except for a couple of false neutrals.

Also i have been riding in the RPM range of 4-6 k regularly. Could this be damaging the engine?

while riding today i felt that the engine is getting stressed at speeds above 60 km maybe because of the problem mentioned above.

Could there be any problem with AFR mixture be lean?

What could be causing this any idea?

Guys really need your help on this.
