, and it only mentions one store in Kolkata
which I gave you in the last post, just see if you get a better deal....

i wont get a better deal coz most tire shops dont have revz s in stock...

Hey Buddy,Originally posted by Samarth 619 View PostSudhir's Topic Approved and merged here.
Firstly, welcome to Xbhp and don't post your contact details in public, specially NOT your RESIDENCE/ ADDRESS. ok?
And as for your points, I think I need to reply to them:
1. When YZF R15 with a smaller engine (no offence, its a fantastic bike), it did not come with a Centre Stand, and it retailed for a serious Rs. 1.17 Lacs, then where were you buddy? What about Honda CBR 1000RR or BMW S1000RR which retails for Rs. 14 and 18 Lacs respectively, not having a centre stand?
NS means Naked Sports. Sportsbikes abroad don't come with centre-stands. Its upto you, as to how quick you get used to it.
Rs. 500 is somewhat fine for a centre stand. It just takes the price to 95.5k, right? Its still better than some 150cc's costing 1.3 Lacs, isn't it? (no offence)
2. Ok, maybe a solid reason, but will have to get the horn's power verified. And not whether its one or two horns.
3. So what? Is it that big a thing?
You can't twist it left while locking??
4. Yes, that's a valid point. No worries. Ride slow right now, and after 25k kms you can change it to MRF Zappers. Is it that big if you will keep your bike even for 2 years minimum?
5. Will have to ask owners if this is same all over India, or just Delhi.
6. It gives you a range of approx 40 kmpl X 12 litres = 480 kilometres.
Or about 400 kms before reserve.
Is it that bad for city needs? No, I don't think so.
When people are getting a 23 horsepower bike for under Rs. 1 Lacs, then they are not getting fooled. They are the guys who made the wise decision "knowingly".
Can't you see any positive side to things? You're complaining about a bike which:
* retails for under a lac even today in 2012,
* makes 23 bhp,
* and could give 50 kmpl in good conditions,
Which other Indian/ Imported bike meets all the above characteristics? Tell me?
As far as "Basics" are concerned, your definition of basics is confusing. For many of us, "basics" are the engine, frame, seat, lighting, etc. which are very good in NS I believe.
I'm not being an advocate but I don't like it, when people don't appreciate someone's efforts for flimsy reasons.
I seriously think as you being the advocate & true confidant of Bajaj. Hats off to you.
1. We live in India buddy not abroad. The difficulties faced in Indian conditions are totally different than those faced elsewhere.
Bajaj has not done any Great Favour to either me or anyone else in providing a bike under a lac rupees & taking such petty things off.
Kindly tell me my friend with such good common sense that why is bajaj providing all these things in their own Pulsar 150,180,200 & even 220F (tell me is this also not a sports bike or only Naked sports only takes all beating) & even in their cheapest to highest (excepts NS) gets them.
2. Before replying just verify the bike thoroughly , then reply . It has only single horn & such cheap sound. I hope that by now you must have heard that.
3. Do you know the daily difficulties we face or you are an alien to that. In a tight parking space where you have no option , but to insert your bike in that , you cannot lock in the left hand side & only right side , then what will you do ? Leave it & let the thief do its work.
4. Just don't talk in air ok. I am in talks with bajaj & other tire manufacturers. Right now no one has the same tyre size only Pirelli has it. but I will try to get them ASAP.
5. Dude , I travel beyond city limits 3-4 times a week & 12 liters is not sufficient at all. Is this same with all sports bikes & bajaj's own bike like other Pulsars in which it itself provides the same.
Did bajaj had any enmity while making this bike , I do not know.
Also kind fellow just check bikes average by various magazines & my personal experience not more than 30 or 34kmpl at the max.
6. Parts availability for this bike & other bikes is an issue. 1. No central stand available. 2. Met with an accident on 21st may right side leg guard not available. 3 . Right side leg brake twisted not available . 1 month is over .
Bajaj will soon raise its price , due to high input costs. look at the business news channels.
All are valid reasons mister, not flimsy. Because he who suffers only knows the problem , not any stranger.

Sorry to hear your bad experiences regarding the bike.Originally posted by [email protected] View PostHey Buddy,

The horn is not good. Agreed !!

R15 v2.0 tires are a fit for NS and many people here have changed to these or are planning to change. Pirelli sports daemon is supposedly the best for the bike if you are into aggressive riding. (just the knowledge gathered through this thread. You can PM @rahulbarik , @crashoverride for more details. )

I have traveled upto 330 kms in half a day and I personally feel the tank is enough and there are many petrol pumps on highways as well as cities.
As the reserve indicator on the bike lights up before the bike actually goes in reserve , this gives you a lot of time to get it refueled..
I got a mileage of 38 kmpl in 70% city + 30% highway riding before the first service and 41kmpl after the first service.
My comments are in bold on the statements I had some knowledge.Last edited by kaydee_bangalore; 08-23-2012, 03:02 PM.ATGATT! There are many wonderful riders/drivers out there who would intrude in your riding space without any notice. Be prepared. Stay Safe.

May be this bike does not suit your needs and you could look at some of the alternatives that do offer the features you are looking for.
When i purchased this bike, i was well aware of some of the shortcomings mentioned by you, but the positives far outweighed the negatives.
And to summarize the last 3 weeks with my bike - I'M LOVING IT!!

By the way, which Shell pump did you visit? Hijewadi?
For fellow NS owners, some pumps where i have had bad experiences
Gaikwad HP in Aundh - Rude and shut down at random times
HP on Baner road - Attendents try to distract you while filling, stop earlier and reset the counter
Sai HP on the way to Mumbai from Wakad - For some reason, FE goes down to 30 (around 120Km highway driving in around 4L of fuel). Happened twice. Usually I get around 180Km city driving in 4L
Even I had seen people recommending that pump (TeamBHP site). But I can't ignore my personal experience. I am damn sure it was bad quality fuel. I know very well the effect of bad fuel. Neither i wanna take chances with my new NS.
Well from my own experience:
Good pumps:
- HP (i think
) inline with Ranka Jewelers on Karve Road
- Shell on service road warje ahead of Mai Mangeshakar Hospital on same side (This is the one I visited BTW)
- The one in front of RTO office
Buggers:
- Both the pumps on Karve road opp of Ranka Jewelers
- The one In front of MacD Kothrud (once had Speed from here, was bad quality)
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference...
