I was talking about the deewan bajaj showroom in Okhla and not the one in Dwarka, I guess both are owned by different people as they have different websites. Since you told me that you wanted a dealer in south delhi I mentioned Deewan Bajaj Lajpat nagar and Okhla, sorry for the confusion.

Congrats Rahul, Welcome to the the club. Optimus Prime it is
Superb rides! I'm planning for few rides as well, after 2500Kms on odo.Originally posted by kaydee_bangalore View PostHi guys
I am writing after a long time.. was too busy riding the bike..
after 11 days of ownership and 1100 kms on ODO I am a very happy man and totally satisfied with my bike.
I did a small trip to Nandi hills on friday , riding uphill was very comfortable , did not face any problem.
When I reached on the top I heard a little *koi* koi* sound from the front wheel but it stopped after 2 mins of riding.. Riding downhill was a bliss..I was just steering my way with a big smile..
With 588 kms on ODO went for my first service at Auto Service , banashankari. I Never let the bike go out of my sight..
After service the bike was smoother but not as smooth as i expected.
Had some issues with the idling , got it corrected.
Met @neoakshay there, he came there because his speedo went haywire..it was just showing some random numbers..
The next day I rode to shivanasamudram falls.. beautiful place, first visited Gaganchukki falls( no provision of playing in water there, just a scenic beauty) and then visited Barachukki falls ( fully fun place to be with friends, took a dip and enjoyed in the natural shower) . Rode a total of 330 kms that day ( but with breaks). Even after riding a total of 330 kms No BACK PAIN, NO WRIST PAIN, but yeah my palm did hurt because of the far off clutch and indicators..
The road to the falls is awesome with beautiful curves... I took NH209.
One incident I would like to mention : I just entered the city after a long drive and near Kanakpura road metro station one Auto driver just just came in front of me and stopped, i had to brake hard, and the road was littered with small pebbles and lot of dust but tyres did not skid.. it made me feel very safe.
Yesterday after a long days work when i started my bike n reached 4th gear.. suddenly it was buttery smooth.. Oh Boy that feel was amazing.. rode for about 30 kms just to enjoy the bike..
Guys what's the ODO Reading of all? I'm touching 2000Kms!
For last few days I have been playing with the AFR. What I did observes, that unlike any other Carbed bike till date, 200NS AFR makes a huge difference in both performance and fuel efficiency. With a AFR set to rich, the bike is a missile, but FE drops to about 33-34, but it's an awesome experience. Where as if AFR is set to lean, I managed to squeeze out 48Kmpl!! But ride experience was pathetic.
I believe, that lot NS owners have yet not tasted the awesome power band of 200NS, as most of the bikes from showroom are set to Leaner AFR. At cost of lesser fuel efficiency, the fun factor is huge.
I did the math, considering if my bike give 34Kmpl in performance mode, and if set it to be more fuel efficient and get about 42Kmpl, i'm loosing about 5000 bucks in 10,000Kms, but I guess it's worth it and will keep the bike engine happy as well!
Been There, Done That; Better!

Answers to questions I known the answer to.
Originally posted by rogersharath View PostP200NS owners, i need your help on clarifying certain points. I am buying NS in some days.
2) I want to know the OTR price in Bangalore?
I visited the RV Bajaj showroom and the dealer says its 1,01,000 On Road.Is this reasonable?
Initially it was said to be 100,451 but when I went to pay it was it was 100,951 (Amba Bajaj). So 101000 sounds accurate.
3) The pillion seat was one more concern for me, since I am plaaning to keep the bike for atleast 5 years and I will be getting married within 2 years and my wife should be able to be seated comfortably. I tried sitting in my friend's NS pillion seat and found that it is vvery high and although I was able to climb up, my wife would be able to?? and also will the pillion get the back pain and feel like to fall from the bike???
This was a major criteria for me. I did a test drive with my wife and baby daughter. It was very comfortable. After getting the bike me and my wife went for a 60-70 km non stop ride. She found it very comfortable. Getting on the bike is slightly difficult but thats just something to get used to.
Note: It is not possible to sit one sided comfortably. So keep that in mind
Thanks in advance

Right from it's unveiling , I kenw that the bike can give best of both worlds.(but not together
)
anyways while visual inspection at the showroom, we couldn't find the carb. is the tuning screw easily locatable?? can u post a Pic of it??
Sorry for asking a Pic for everything u do..

Bro go for the Revz S for the rear, its a great tyre and you will same some money as compared to say a Pirelli, dont upsize the rear tyre, have a look at revz s and you'll know that its contact patch with the road is widest amongst all 130/70 tyres on Indian bikesOriginally posted by Rahulbarik View Posti will be changing tires...both one... Got a price of 2500 for both the stock tyres from my friend...he will fit those on his bike... Front i am going for zapper fx but still confused about rear though i have planned revz s for rear... I may also consider 140/70 depending on price and quality...
BTW 2500 rupees for the new set of tyres is very less but since its your friend I can't say much but do check with dealers if you can get more, will probably ease the Helmet burden

I will check it out this Saturday... Anyways i will try to get the bike by this month end...Originally posted by kris menon View PostKhivraj had some 10 bikes this Saturday the 18th when i had been there.. mostly blues and reds and a black. That time itself they had kept a bike with my name on it.. I remember having seen two reds then.. apparently all of them sold out already leaving just mine and a yellow one for somebody from hyatt... i am not sure about the waiting period because when i was giving the advance they had blue ones in excess or something and they were ready to deliver the earliest.
the test bike was also blue but was not to be seen anywhere.. i just hope that behind all those nice talks they didn't sell that one too to somebody..

Hi, If rear tire hugger is put on, then there is no mud sprinkling on pillion's or driver's back, feet etc. If you remove it then the problem is there.Originally posted by Vicky1586 View PostIs the NS throws the mud on the pillion's feet and on the seat(if ridden alone). If yes then what can be done avoid that.... Please suggest(If the back tire hugger is deployed)Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference...

@rahuldevnath: thanx brother
@rohan: yes bro revz s looks damn hot from behind... It will look awesum on ns without the hugger... Will look like a superbike...
but can you plz confirm which rear rim is wider...ns of r15 v2... What are the actual sizes... I think v2 is wider.. @all: BTW how much can i expect for the new tyres...?

I was in touch with company guys for Last 8 months or so. BAJAJ guys were very helpful throughout those 8 months and they helped me a lot in getting the FIRST PULSAR 200 NS. Also after getting delivery of my vehicle Bajaj guys have always offered me help/assistance
Now coming to the bike, IT’S A GEM to own. It’s totally VALUE FOR MONEY. While riding the bike I found it responding very quickly. Gear shifts are smooth. Pickup is awesome. Braking is also great. And it’s the BEST bike that I have ever experienced.
I will give a detailed review of the bike in a week’s time. I would surely recommend it to all of you to buy it/upgrade your existing bikes.
I would like to thank everyone @ BAJAJ for making such a wonderful bike and helping me get the FIRST one.
Regards,
Chintan Shah.
Hey congratulations on your 200NS. I am myself looking forward to book mine within this week. I suppose you are the first NS owner on xbhp and since you are one with the most experienced with the NS i would like to ask you a question about the tyres. Are the Euro grip tyres really that bad? Some of my friends who are NS owners have issues with the tyres. As you have been riding a NS for almost 4 months now have you faced any issues till now regarding tyres. We friends go for rides twice a month apart from rainy season. There we do some cornering sessions. This is where tyres play a huge role and as a active participant i would like your opinion regarding the tyre issues and do they grip better once broken in? I will be expecting your response.

Welcome to the club!!!Originally posted by kris menon View PostIt all started when I got a news from our college placement division, an email saying CONGRATULATIONS!
I was content dreaming about unicorn back then. And since the location was fixed as Chennai where my parents are put up presently for next two definite years, I had made up my mind to be the “wing rider”.
Personally not an expert biker (although literally lived on a Chetak since 8th grade), I had got a chance once to ride from Coimbatore to Palakkad on a unicorn and I felt what I always feel from my car, the necessary communication having between us. Then my friend told me that under sane conditions he gets 60kmpl out of it and its a four year old machine with absolutely zero things going wrong with it. All the needed elements were there and in the right proportions. I started my research on unicorn and started spending hours in a day reading forums and reviews and all these reinforcing the decision. I talked to my parents and to my utmost surprise, my mom was the first one to approve this time.
Then a day came when all those awesome hours of research went for a toss when I read somewhere about bajaj's plan to bring in a new kid on the block. Whoaaa....!!! I exclaimed and my instant reaction was to let all my classmates know about such a thing. Some were 'Whoaaa' too but the others were 'haan.. arrey yea toh looks like FZ'. I kept wondering am I the one wrong here or are these major population in my class plain blind.???
<<<<days passed>>>>
College over and with days passing I was getting over unicorn, I was sad but it had to be done. Unicorn had been out there for 8 plus years now and with newer, more powerful bikes coming into the market, the time is not far when you hear an all new unicorn which can cover all the deficiencies the dazzler had plus carry all the unicorn character and competing the new pulsars and dukes. The smooth engine of unicorn was always mesmerizing and I was not open to the pulsar lover's claims of the roughness of engine being the awesomeness of it. But how would i know?? i was never the biking kind. Somehow the enlightening sparkling rays from the bodhi tree perhaps pasted the new Pulsar 200NS' pictures all over the little spaces in my head and its all i could dream of.. Lucky that i'm not a school going kid anymore else all my homework would have been pending because indecently i happened to stumble upon the ownership thread of xbhp.com..
Power on one side and fuel efficiency on the other, new job and raising the fund and complexity of commute between office and home, elders' advice to get a car and the fact that one is not growing younger every passing second.. All these thoughts had started taking its toll on me. A worried mom showed her concern and started asking strange questions like “are you alright?”, “ do you need help?”, “you should talk to your dad”, etc. Later she figured out the whole thing and talked to my dad and they were there telling me why I should not think any further and make a move.
On 12th this month I went to Khivraj here in Chennai with my parents, on the mount road. Took a test drive in the small gulley adjacent to it which gave the real life feel of driving in the city. Felt more than comfortable even with the sales guys perched on the pillion rider's seat. I had told him I am not very good with the whole biking thing and that he might want to hold on for his dear life. But at the end of the ride he said I was good enough. Happy Happy.!! Took my own sweet time with the stationary bike and finally at the end of an hour and half or so, I was walking out of the showroom after a good 5k paid as the advance. Blue being the color for the family, I didn’t want to make a difference in this case and chose the same. Got a call on 17th from them asking if I could make the remaining payment on Saturday so that they can get the registration and all that done and deliver the vehicle on Thursday the 23rd.
The pleasant treatment I got from the dealership was the reason behind me going with Khivraj otherwise going to KLN in Annanagar was a much easier option as it is just beyond a stone's throw from home. It’s interesting how things shaped up for me while going for my first bike. Guess my helmet can’t do much of a damage to my hair as there is not much left after the thorough hair pulling I did trying to decide on the bike. That reminds me I am yet to decide on my helmet as well... Daym my only left over hair..!!
Helmet.. try getting it in the store before rainbow.. it`s in the same road as khivraj.. just 250 odd metres ahead.. wonderful chap the guy in the store.. you can bargain hard as well.. and good for you.. you didn`t go to KLN..!!
Any idea how many NS running in Chennai??.. I managed to see only a couple.. 3 yellows.. one red and one black.. is that all??.. maybe NSians should meet up..!!Last edited by govind.one; 08-23-2012, 11:33 AM.sigpic
Drive Carefully...
