What I understand @myth was saying if you want to change just the Tank of a Black bike into Yellow one..(( Keeping the rest unchanged) That wud look odd.
If you wanna change, You have to change all the parts..

Yep...thats what I meant. Btw...your dealer is correct about the bikes reaching him. Even OSL called me and told me to select a color as he just received the bike. But he had black, red and blue color...and I wanted yellow. So I'l wait for it.

Don't put Motul for now. On CMH Road, while going from KFC to HDFC Bank, keep going straight under the Metro , till end where the "T" junction is (where road turn to Old Madras Road), just on left you will find a small shop next to an ATM. Don't remember the name. Ask him for the cheapest 15 or 20W50 mineral oil.

Or tell him that "Rahul" who has the new "Pulsar", got some "top 1" blue coloured bottle, give me that!

Buy two cans of that cheap but good oil, it's a synthetic blend oil but mostly mineral.

Get the first Service done only by 700+Kms, and get the Motul 3100 Gold (same shop) alternatively the SVC centre guys should also stock it.

today...??? You can go with black and change panels on your wish... But do have a test ride atleast like you said yesterday. Atleast a small 1 km one... Even if you dont buy, go to the showroom and check out the bike in person....if possible some pics too.... Best of luck on your purchase

As i heard Fully synthetic Oil is good

mineral and semi might burn with the petrol inside the engine and the black carbon emited from that oil might get on to the Piston...

This was the explanation i got for it...
hope this is correct explanation and hence might help you.

Hey Guys,

All NSians I guess we can plan out a ride tomorrow morning to Nandi Hills. I guess Me, Rohan200NS and Rahuldevnath is ready for the game. I guess this could first NS meet too.

still first service not done

so will it be okay to go on a ride now ? 320 odo now it all be 345 at the end of day

and also speed restriction is there from Engine

Mate, you can still go for around 380 kms on the factory filled oil. Even if you don't change it, it won't damage the bike in any sense whatsoever. The manual from Bajaj says oil change for the first servicing. Keep this oil till the first servicing. Bajaj's manual has been written very conservatively,at least for P200NS(yeah, I am referring to run-in speed). If they say, 500 kms, don't panic. Let it be, but yes, if your running is like more than 400 kms then do it now.

I am also not a pro when it comes to bikes and its maintenance but i read this in Payeng sir's blog

"Synthetic engine oils are too slick/slippery for use in a brand new engine. Synthetic oils do not let the engine running in to take place. Always use mineral oils during the running in period. Mineral oils have the necessary coarseness which aids the running in process. "

Guys need some help

I'm hearing some sound near the engine . Sound is like some loose nut or chain some thing like that, i don't know correctly.
