Yes, as long as the service center is an Authorized Bajaj service center, you can get any service done from them.Originally posted by shylesh View PostJust a quick clarification. Is a free service doable in any service center other than where I took the bike?
Not at all an issue, just make sure that its recorded in your owners manual.
P.S : Congrats on your purchase.
Cheers

No, am still @ 323 kms. Never been into SVC. Will check tomorrow for any further leak.Originally posted by Akash.Yadav View PostYo J K, have you had the servicing done recently? It might be that the SVC people didn't quite clean it up properly. Use a soft, porous cloth and wipe it clean properly and tighten the oil drain nut. Check it again the next day, if its still leaking and not much in quantity, its ok, else run down the SVC.
In my case, it's not all over engine. Its only in under part of engine. More on near drain screw. Will check oil level tomorrow.Originally posted by Chaoseater View PostI had few drops of oil leakage on my vehicle. Had given it to SVC. It is rectified, the service personel said me that there is some problem with the gasket and it has been rectified.
I had the same rear disc brake noise. Seems, its fixed permanently. There is some axle issue which is now rectified permanently.
Thank you guys

I think there's sum problem with my bike's fuel indicator also...Originally posted by J K View PostIn Bold..!
And guys, now there is very small amount of oil that is seen near and around oil draining screw. Is this a leak?
sumtimes it shows 1 bar..den again wen I go for other trip it shows 3 bars, sumtimes 2.....Apart from this in other bikes when petrol comes in reserve , the bike gets off automatically and when we rotate the fuel tap to reserve we can restart.... So y is it different in NS? If so then
I think this is bad move made by bajaj .....
And that rear disc sound....Do we need to splash the water lifelong during rainy season??????????????? If so then
Its really irritating

Digital fule meters are all unreliable, its not a bajaj specific problem, you must live with it.Originally posted by sanjeev528 View PostI think there's sum problem with my bike's fuel indicator also...

And the disk sound, once the pads set it, the sound will vanish , only will resurface if too much dirt accumilates or pads wear out completely.

Buddy, just spend some more time with ur bike, and u will get a hang of the issues.Originally posted by sanjeev528 View PostI think there's sum problem with my bike's fuel indicator also...

The Fuel Indicator being a digital one will never be accurate, and will keep shifting One or Two bars. It will only give u a fair Idea of How much fuel there might be in the Tank.
The rear Disc sound will go off once the breaks are properly set-in.sigpicRelationships change, evolve, and it goes deep.
Only thing I can say - "The storm is coming"

You mean to say even the bajaj workshop guys cant fix the fuel indicator problem???????????

Nope.. I had that Same thing right on my P150 right from the start. The SVC guys couldnt do much. They would only tell u need to fill full-tank and check if all the bars are showing or not.Originally posted by sanjeev528 View PostYou mean to say even the bajaj workshop guys cant fix the fuel indicator problem???????????

First Week Impressions
Exactly one week since I got my bike...
- Total ODO: 465
- Maximum speed: 89
- Maximum RPM: 7k
- Avg Speed: 35-60
- Fuel Efficiency as per tank full method: 35
Problems so far:
- Lot of noise from front forks (rectified by SVC guys)
- Rear Disk Brake was giving out loud sound (rectified by SVC guys)
- Fuel Indicator acts crazy many times (Suddenly from 6 bars to 2 bars, then after restart around 4 bars, again 2, then 3) (Not rectified/able)
- Warning light (round orange one on top) turns on randomly for no reason, sometimes goes off after engine kill/restart.
- Quite a lot of vibrations initially (rectified by SVC guys)
- Rear Tyres tend to lock easily, at slightest provocation
- Rear panel gaps uneven (didnt have a choice, all bikes were same)
Oh, and since the rear tyre hugger wasnt doing its job well, I removed it... It now looks ultra-sexy, but now sprays water not just on pillions entire back, but even upto main riders's helmet, not to mention tail lamps, under rear pillion seat etc etc
EDIT: Have had a few self-start issues with the bike refusing to turn on at times... (No, not a cold morning... But yeah, when fuel was almost nearing reserve)Last edited by Xennai_Warrior; 08-06-2012, 01:00 AM.
