Initial Impressions
Been to Kalyani Motors, Mekhri Circle, Bangalore for the test ride. I was absolutely stunned looking at the beast. My initial impressions, Firstly I did not feel any vibrations on the bike. The vehicle felt weightless and easily flickable once you are on the bike. The acceleration builds up slowly, this shows more maturity in the pull of the vehicle. Extremely happy with Bajaj moving on from TVS motors(Apache RTR). Ended up 10 minutes on the bike, those 10 minutes is close to impossible to describe. Infact, I asked the the person accompanying for Test ride to ride and I accompanied him as a pillion. The vibrations on the foot pegs are slightly noticeable. I am 5'6, felt a little uncomfortable balancing the vehicle on both legs.
I also spoke to manager regarding the payments, tentative delivery etc. The price is Rs.100182 + 900(Smart Card, HSIP, RTO Charges). The delivery will commence from last week of this month or first week of August. Bangalore XBHPians please comment on your deliveries too. I wanted to know because some member had posted that Kalyani Motors missed out on the first lot of the vehicles. Would want to ensure that I am not delivered late.
Also left a feedback too.
@Chintan- Bro, my previous insurer was Bajaj Allianz, I have accumulated my No Claim bonus for the last four years. What would be the procedure for claiming NCB.
TIA

Going with the Blue, because the dual tone is highly noticeable in broad daylight. I feel yellow is too flashy (No Offence, personal choice). How about you?Originally posted by Rahulbarik View Postspot on first impression... More so coz you are coming from apache... Which color you going for?

Thanks for the valuable response. As you raised this point I would like put few questions/suggestionsOriginally posted by MG View PostAfter last night's mayhem a post from my side is needed
1) Any new bike redlined will get heated and will emit smokes. The burning smell will also come by default. Ideally all the dealers(stands for all manufacturers) should have a test ride vehicle which is properly run-in(500kms) before giving it for test ride.
2) None of the reviewers claimed it to be the upgrade of P220, its a much better bike than the previous generation Pulsars and accelerates way faster.
3) The top five things about this bike are 1) handling, 2) handling, 3) handling, 4) 0-100 performance 5) overall riding comfort
4) I'm not going into the discussion of whether there was vibration or not, can be a result of multitude of reasons. What I can say with conviction is that 9/10 bikes will have zero or negligible vibrations
1) Do the two wheeler manufacturers send seperate test ride bikes to showrooms?
2) What are the guidelines issued/followed by manufactures in this respect
3) Can we as a forum come out with few suggestions and forward it to the manufacturers. We have lot of senior people in this forum whose knowledge and experience can be leveraged for this. Also some members also came out with suggestions which can be reviewed.
I would suggest that test bikes should be in distinct colour / labelled as test ride bikes just like we see in four wheelers. Customers should take test ride only in such bikes and should reject the test ride if others bikes are offered.

@Chennai NS ians, got a call from kln Anna Nagar just now telling that the bike is on display in all colour variants and that the delivery will start within 10 days. Bajaj is going to put some function for inauguration of 200 NS in Chennai and the delivery will start after that.. Pained right now because wool be in hosur till Thursday, hence can't see my beauty earlier than that.

Great suggestion ,this would make sure that a innocent buyer doesnot get cheated by a greedy showroom owner .sigpic < --BENGALURU-- >

Hi Rahul, a lot of factors (including fate) led to me booking the Pulsar 200 NS!Originally posted by Rahulbarik View Postyou booked ns? Man what happened to your cbr booking?
Test Rides being given at Khivraj Bajaj, Kasturba Road I'm lucky because my office is right next door!
There are two bikes for the TD - a blue and a red. Initial impressions:- Super comfy riding position!
- Very free and quick revving engine
- Gearbox is completely un-Pulsar like.
- No vibes as such, just a slight buzz in the handlebars (which should be completely normal)
- Brakes are quite fantastic
- Quite a silent engine, though I heard the funny 'loose tappet' engine rattle that seems to be part and parcel (meaning normal) of this new Pulsar
First lot to be delivered around July 26th. When I booked yesterday, there were already 180 bookings taken by Khivraj across all their outlets. On-road in Bangalore is Rs. 1,00,481/-
Here are a few mobile cam pics of the display bikes.Last edited by neoakshay; 07-17-2012, 04:47 PM.A good rider has balance, judgment, and good timing. So does a good lover!

[QUOTE=neoakshay;842821]Hi Rahul, a lot of factors (including fate) led to me booking the Pulsar 200 NS!
nice final choice.. the cbr would not have satisfied you. as you were going from an r15..same here have an r15 nothing satisfies me, but this pulsar is tempting..
