Hey Man congrats for your BLUE BEAST..i am waiting for the same after so much of colour hassle between Yellow,Red and Blue...finally convinced myself to go with ROYAL BLUE...

Man you had a huge fight with yourself in choosing the bike and i am happy u finally went ahead with NS or else you would have regretted it later citing your other options..

Hi Guys,
Could you please let me know what might be causing the below?

My gives out a screeching sound from the front of the bike. A little but audible squeaky/ screeching sound around the front wheel. I took it to the SVC kanchan bajaj dombivili and they said it would be taken care in the 1st service. Got the 1st service done on 5th August, but now screeching sound is coming again. Any one please suggest what might be the potential issue.

is it from the disc??.. in that case, it is the disc.. debris/dirt on the discs.. or the pads bedding in.. happening to me both in rear and front..!!
where is the noise from??Last edited by govind.one; 08-16-2012, 05:17 PM.sigpic

Hi Govind,
I assume it is from the front disc..but when i brake using the front disc, it does not make such noise, so i don't know if it is coming from the disc or not. But surely the screeching sound is coming from the front wheel section. How can we prevent the noise, it reaaly irritating me when i ride my bike on highways.

If screeching is from the disks, do a pressure wash on the disk pads area, the disk pads will not work /bite for some time, so let it dry out , the pressure wash should remove all the dirt(if any) and then let the water dry for the disk pads to regain its working abilities,Originally posted by Rahul990 View PostHi Govind,

then just rub the disk pads together for a min or so.
And finally , just in case if its not completely the disk problem, get the front wheel bearings greased.
Most probably this should take care of the screeching sound for good.
Cheers

Dirt/debris must be it.. get it cleaned.. I get the sound only when I drive real slow.. at speeds above 20 kmph.. I don`t.. so.. get your discs cleaned.. works like a charm.. but, it needs to be done often.. yes.. with great power comes responsibility.. and.. @krish2778 is bang on with the solution..!!Originally posted by Rahul990 View PostHi Govind,

Mail to Bajaj!
Gyus,
I just drafted a mail to Bajaj citing the poor tyre grip quality. I even came across a few life threatening incidents in the past few days. Its indeed a threat to our life and I feel we need to treat this issue with more seriousness. What say?

really glad you are safe bro.. a little more details on what happened would help others.. wet roads, wheel lock and skid.. every one knows EuroGrip is poor on wet roads..!!Originally posted by Raphieie View PostGyus,

Which is ? The current Euro grips are great as far as dry tarmac is concerned, even ifor some spirited riding and cornering, have tried it out, but agreed it doesnt give so much confidence in reallly leaning it on wet roads, but then on wet roads, you must be more careful than just leaning it,have personally tried JK's ride for over 15kms in both wet and dry conditions.Originally posted by Raphieie View PostGyus,

And i really doubt if a mail about tyre quality is going to do any good.
The best you can do is sell the current one's and go for better options out there, it will cost more but wet grip confidence comes at a price

friends,
Its not about limiting ourselves. Yes, we need to. No tyre can be 100% skid proof. But there is always a limit to it. Having have ridden almost all of the Indian bikes above 125cc, what I feel is that the tyre grip quality is really pathetic.
There should be some good in making the officials known, else what is the meaning of Customer 'Care'?
Incident : Last day, a public transport bus just took the wrong side when entering the main road (through which I was riding) from a smaller road. I had to break suddenly, which I did, applying both the brakes in the perfect manner. Yes, the road was a bit wet, but not to much to make my bike skid so badly that I thought it was the end of the story! Serous threat to everybody, everyone will get to know once you face such a situation. May be I was the first unlucky guy to experience it, and I dont want my brothers to experience the same.
