    • @Rohan200ns : Rohan how do you know that KTM is much ahead of Bajaj. Do you know that Bajaj owns 48+ % stake in KTM. Bajaj has no team dedicated for Pulsar 200NS. Customer Care of BAJAJ is for all products from Platina to P220 whereas KTM has only one product. Look at the number of Bikes Bajaj has sold over the years and how many bikes KTM has sold.

Who said you don't get VIP treatment by Bajaj ? JakeRockwell received VIP Treatment, Flaffy also received good treatment. And for me when i go to Service Centre its like my name is Chintan Bajaj and not Chintan Shah. Everything is taken care of by them. They have asked me that they would come and collect the bike for first service and drop it after service. You can say my case is one off but it is there. i get VVVVIP Service at Bajaj. It all depends on how you talk with people and whom you talk to. So getyour facts right before you post here. Try to be helpful to others and if you can't be don't add to their confusion.

one thing is for sure that ktm ASS is miles ahead of bajaj ASS .. today i mailed ktm my querries and niggles regarding duke and then i got a call from ktm head office in just 3hrs..same mail was sent to bajaj but they dont seem to be bothered ..
one thing is confirmed that ktm will diagnose any niggle faced by the duker with minimum fuss and that too with vip treatment .. looking at how unprofessional the blokes at bajaj are ,, i dont think they will be able to support the ns owners .. cant blame bajaj cos ns is a mass market bike ..
one thing to worry about ns is that it is all mechanical and nobody can verify the 100% functioning of the engine and radiator ( mechanic can just check everything and tell that everything is fine without any proof ,, and we cant argue ) .. whereas an FI bike will run through a digital diagnostics test and even the minor niggle will not go unnoticed ..
it all depends on luck .. just pray to god that we get a 100% perfect bike ...
Issues you are mentioning are not at all practical. These are one off issues you have been highlighting. It does not resemble picture at large. Stop creating confusion/fear in mind of others. You have not test ridden it that you can talk about niggles. It is very disappointing to see you regularly talking like this.

... just the sort of things to worry about .. this wait by bajaj is further making me think all sorts of stuffs ..

When i got a problem with my NS ,me too received premium treatment from the dealer as well as bajaj people in pune
Duke is ktm's 1st bike, so they will have to provide premium service of the highest level to their customers otherwise they wont sell their new product on the "indian market" which is very steriotype.

Bajaj has well settled roots in india.Tell me one indian bike maker which has the upto date technology. And bajaj is aiming at a mass market.they are producing a premium bike with a price tag of under a lakh and making it available to the massess. Name one indian bike which stands close to NS at that exact same price tag.

So my advice is get a reality check based on facts. KTM is KTM and Bajaj is Bajaj. You just cant compare two totally different things.Differences will alwez b there

          • @chintan --- you are right .. but here in bangalore the sales people at popular bajaj dont even know the exact power output of ns ..they told 26bhp and i silently thought not to talk to them anymore ..
i dont mean to add confusion or complain or offend anyone here ..
bajaj is making me wait ,, due to which i am getting random thoughts in my mind ...
i know that all the niggles here are minor ones and can be rectified ... what i meant was that these minor niggles are common to both bikes .. waiting eagerly to test ride it on wednesday

I think you are referring to the wrong person.

                    • Rohan you are very much aware how much bhp P200NS has got. If you want to test sales persons knowledge you are free to test it. Bajaj gives franchises and does not own them.

Bajaj is also constrained and can't launch it all together at one go. Any company would like to make a pan india launch but there are reasons behind its inability to do so. Your random thoughts are due to your impatient nature. Even I waited for 8months without any information about the product. Stay calm and you will make wise decision.

His name is Rohan and not Chintan. Also why don't you quote on the duke thread when he says there. No point in quoting in NS thread. Also we should discuss the -ves of a bike along with positives otherwise there is no use of a motorcycle ownership thread if we only discuss the positives. Don't know why some of the owners get so offended if the -ve points of their bike comes in public
