Since you own a NS first consider the cost of changing to three NGK Iridium Spark plugs. Each one costing around Rs 550, Into 3 for NS engine.

Rs 1650 for 3 Iridium spark plugs.

    • Service symbol flashing

Sorry I couldn't take a pic of the bike's console, but the 'Service Due'
symbol started glowing as soon as I crossed 450km on odo today.

On asking the SVC if I should give the bike for service right now, they said yes, that the bike should be dropped in as soon as the symbol starts glowing. What's your thoughts on this guys? Coz I was planning to do the 1st service around 600 - 700km. Do note that I've had the bike for just 5 days.

Also, in one of your previous posts i saw you were using a bag.
Which one is it ? Does it have a laptop compartment ? How spacious is it ?
Even if it doesn't have a laptop compartment, is it spacious to accommodate a laptop ?
That's the CRAMSTER TURTLE Bag. Well it's spacious enough to fit a 14"laptops, but 15.6" will be difficult. Its basically a magnetic tank bag, but because our bikes have plastic tanks panels, it was initally useless for me, until I found out this procedure.

I and my mom were very disappointed that she couldn't sit on my bike yet , she paid most of the money for my bike.. but because of no footrest.. she couldn't sit sideways
You can try welding the side step of Discover's onto 200NS's saree guard.

Since my bike has run 110 Km, I would like to change my oil. Which would be suitable oil and the price of the same.

@All with rear disc issues- Please go to the nearest SVC and get it rectified

              Cheers and Thanks
Just look for the cheapest possible 20W50 or 15W50, Mineral Oil, But you will be required to change the at 500-750 Kms again.

That Wrench Icon, basically starts blinking depending on Kms done on ODO. You can strech you service to 750Kms.. without any issues.

Yes, Air Fuel Ratio, but technically "CO%", which is listed in the manual also for adjustment. Your exhaust will analysed, with a metre to check the ideal AFR settings.

Idling speed is to be set at 1500 RPM when engine is warm, anything below 1300 will be a problem,

Give the FZ's saree guard a try, it comes in 2 pieces, one piece acts as the footrest, try to get it seperately, so that you can fix it to your bike and the best part is that, you can remove it at will, since its bolt on.

But it's a common issue with rear disc, if there are debris inside. However I have a feeling that for people who are having issues with their disc brakes will eventually require to get them adjust from SVC Centre.

How many Kms you have done on ODO? If you are just hovering between 90 - 300Kms, Get you oil change, the harshness will go. The Oil from factory is the "purest" form of water!
Even I get the humming sound from the disk brakes... showed it to SVC... All they did was took a test drive... Sprayed chain lubricant(did not clean the chain before spraying)... and then told me everything will be fine and that it is a common problem with Pulsars... (But the sound still persists)
The procedure done was pretty sad according to me...
Also the person who checked was apparently the best person to reach out to in that SVC...
Now I am a lil worried about getting my bike serviced... Please suggest a Bajaj SVC in Bangalore with good knowledgeable mechanics...

I changed my engine oil today... replaced with Motul 3000 4T Plus... Odo Reading 170 Kms... And Yeah... Engine is relatively smoother...

I had been to SVC in the morning and got it alright. But all in vain, again the same sound is coming. But initially when I start moving the bike, I keep breaking on the rear a lot so that the dirt is out. The noise becomes unnoticeble after 8-10 Kms. Will be going to SVc day after tomorrow. Will speak to the manager directly. Lets see what happens

@annydhanya-BTW, the same happended to me. The Service personnel took it for a short ride and did something and it was alright ATM.
How much is the Motul 3000 4T oil ?

The NS does look a bit mature doesn it

Sorry guys. i know the pictures are due will post as soon as possible i'm 4 days into my long life with the beast.. jus crossed 400kms on the odo.. jus love takin the bike out for a ride any chance i get but a trip to the shop is kinda meaningless .Any suggestions for tank covers?? I've got the usual problems such as vibes in the pillion and my oil change indicator's blinkin occasionally wil wait for the first service to see if the vibes are taken care off.. someone posted they were given extra padding etc.

and one more thing. the tick noise when i switch off the engine is quite loud.. the catcon shutting off i think. is that a prob to be reported too??
