Guys.... been for a trip yesterday.. covered 250kms ... a few observations

1. clutch lever is a bit tight or needs getting used to .. .my ring finger is painful today
2. vehicle vibrates very bad while accelerating going up a slope and that is very prominent while upshifting and rpm is below 4500 rpm..
3. acceleration tends to suffer going up hill. few times had to shift down couple of gears to maintain momentum...
4. shocks are awesome... completely happy while gliding over small humps
5. carb needs tuning as while maintaining a constant speed and rpm on flat road, it seems like missing ignition in between (probably visit to service center will help).
6. a few time while trying to upshift the gear lever hesitated as if saying, not now... :-).. anyway the next try worked well.
7. downshifting failed once or twice on the first try.
8. found that optimum rpm for gearshifting is around 4000, above which the upshifting causes the thud sound ...

Only God, and Bajaj knows when and where(if there is actually any launch)
and where other states are having the bike launched with ceremonies, we get a silent launch??(so silent that even the dealers did not know)
Another discriminatory approach by bajaj. Certainly have lost huge amount of respect from my side..

@Shiba : we did not get any special launch. There was no ceremony whatsoever. Ceremony is performed by local dealers.

IND number plate is a must in kolkata... Its called high security number plate... Hard to tamper with(as said by govt). Bt i find it easy... I heard that i comes with some kind of chip under the word IND fitted with a gps and RF ID... Though i am not sure...

Hahaha...seriously worst approach adopted by Bajaj for launch of NS...
But i hope it would be worth the wait for you guys...
Every state has its own issues..in Bangalore i have paid 100915 for the bike.. while in some states its around 94k..
But no other option for me..wish i could have been in my hometown Delhi..i could have saved quite a few bucks..
I dont know what does Karnataka Govt. does exactly with the Highest Tax in India they steal from people..

bro it costs Rs 550 for the front (strip format) and rear (box format). i've got one done for my NS and it does give that elegant and a regal look to it!

Oh that's cool then..i will go for it..it doesn't cost much..
What pinched me was the extra Rs 500 i paid while making the full payment...earlier the bike cost was Rs 100482 and when i went today they said prices have changed and i ended up paying Rs 100915...
@ Bangalorians...guys what price you paid for it..just wanna make sure i am not being robbed...or else i will screw the whole showroom...

Looks good! Feels strong enough...very cheap compared to IND plates....and it glows in the dark!

its 100989... @ Popular Motors, gettin free centre stand. they offered me Teflon Coating but I opted for stand.

Ceremony thing was kind of a sarcastic comment from me. I mean who gives a damn to ceremony??
But a launch requires some kind of Official announcement.(which was not there)
And how come none of the dealers have any Idea if there was any launch.

We just came to know of it as @myth posted a mail to CC yesterday, and today morning he gets a call from bajaj that bike is Launched.. Certainly not acceptable..

i say just screw 'em... shoot a mail to bajaj and see the magic...
