    • Service

Guys just my two cents on this hot topic. The NS will be serviced only by the Bajaj regular SVC and not PBK. As to the mechanics having 15 minutes to complete a bike does not hold good cos for now Bajaj is treating NS owners like royalty (atleast where i got it serviced) and the experience was good. Every SVC has atleast two mechanics who have been trained on the NS and these guys are senior and enthusiastic. They were very accomodating when I wanted my brake lines changed and they did not charge me for it. Surprisingly the mechanic called me after two days to find out how the bike was. So I guess certain things are changing for the better.

      • Afr

Guys richened my AFR by quarter turn and man does she move. A world of difference from the stock setting. I have noticed a funny issue my idling seems to drop when i switch the headlamp on. weird but true, has any one come across this.

this shouldn't be happening...since a DC bike. It happens only on bikes with AC whose headlight run from the coil...

That is exactly what has me stumped. Noticed it as i was making my AFR changes last night and had to ride out acouple of times. Finally set the idling with the headlamp off when i realised what was happening.

Let me first check my battery outputs with/without headlamps and will update.

                • Guys. One serious issue to report!

Twice or thrice in the last 20 days of ownership, I've faced this problem. That my 'balls' (yes, I meant what I said) pain when I get off from the bike after harsh riding sessions. Did anyone face the same situation?

that's one hell of a weird problem you have got there.,adjust back and forth on the saddle.
and the question remains why do i race?
every finishing line is the begining of a new race.

#i have learnt to manipulate my own adrenaline and the perception of biking is different.
                    #overkill is underrated.

#i don't subscribe to co-incidence,either it is the rider or the other moron on the road

(:)people keeps on saying add spark to life, bajaj got hold of that idea and added an extra spark to bike.

That is how it was supposed to be. PBK will never touch the Bajaj bikes, ironically.

Mate, just try to build a good rapo with the SVC guys. They will allow you to watch your baby for sure. I get to see my chotu Casstiel getting serviced.

And guys, today I've got a amazing FE, 55 kmpl. NS is awesome
That is precisely the mileage BAL quoted with the same range of riding.

                      I'm getting around 48 kmpl with 80% city riding & 20% h/w...(keeping the speeds b/w 40-60)
Also,I asked the svc guy regarding the possibility to increase the height of the rear end by changing the rear suspension setting to hardest (as I thought it would give me a bump of 1 cm) but he said it won't increase the height at all but it will compress the spring & my back will hurt...
Ok, changing the setting to Hardest will decrease the ride height but will improve the handling, not that you will really notice unless you are a pro. Setting it to softest will get your suspension a longer travel and hence the ride will become soft with a toll on handling, again not that you will notice unless you are a pro or there is a significant difference in the setting.

Try to change your riding posture bro. I face this problem in my P150 after say a ride of 80-100 kms. In that case, I just move all over the seat and change the posture every 15-20 minutes. Its got to be the had seats.

Khivraj Whitefield ,they took 25 days for delivery that too after I sent an email to CC on 19th .The wait was worth it though in last two days have been stopped and enquired about the bike atleast 10 times .

bro changing the setting to hardest will never decrease ride height.... It will always increase the height...how can it decrease?
@Raphieie: try changing the riding posture often...it happed to me also... After a certain period of time, it used to become numb and starts burning as if someone applied some aftershave from underneath... just try changing the posture frequently...

@nilesh: that duck part was hilarious... then i have an even more hilarious story... The day i went to test ride, a guy came naked(well almost...only half pant and a towel on his shoulder) to check out another naked(the 200ns) and asked me where the cylinder of the bike is... I thought maybe he meant silencer, so showed him the exhaust... Then he said ki no show me the cylinder, thats the silencer to... So i yelled, what do you mean by cylinder? What cylinder? Which cylinder? He replied he is searching for the NITRO CYLINDER(sylinder maybe) now he was yelling at me that this bike has a nitro system fittted on it and so its called the pulsar 200NS... I was like WTF...and ran away NS= NITRO CYLINDER....nay..sylinder maybe... now beat that...hahaha...

As far as I know, the suspension on the hardest setting is shortest, (the suspension is compressed) and on the softest setting it's longest (increase in height). Adjusting the suspension simply means either increasing the spring preload, which makes the suspension harder and decreases the height, inversely, decreasing the preload increases the height and makes the suspension softer.

Read more: Raising the Height of a Motorcycle | eHow.com http://www.ehow.com/info_12196581_ra...#ixzz24uZJTjX6 I verified it as well, when did set my bike to softest setting. Nothing much but it does slightly increase the height especially for the pillion.

DC bike also, will see a drop in RPM. The bulb, puts pressure on the battery, the current drops at the terminals. Though it should not be more than 100 RPM max.

BTW here's the AFR screw pic, sorry for the delay.
If you are going to tinker with it, just do a half turn and check the results.
