Called up the BAL customer Care. They said, its BAL policy that you cannot observe the bike while servicing. You have to wait in waiting room. Now i guess its upto the svc guy.Originally posted by sagar_phoenix View PostSo, its not possible to check anything in a normal service centre? Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--

Hmmm...well I was just beside the guy who was fixing the Fuel knob of my NS today & no one told me to leave or wait in the A/C room , infact he could've left @ 3pm but he stretched it a little for the issues...I was pointing out issues and he was trying to solve it one by one...he even fabricated the metal gaskets for the allen bolts for the chain cover (as I removed the saree guard & the chain cover sort of became 'free' ) while I was waiting near my bike with one more Bajaj guy to whom I was pointing out the issues...when I asked him about installing P220's dual horn on my NS he said that on the first service I can talk with the engineer about any modifications I can do without risking the warranty...Originally posted by nilesh14587 View PostCalled up the BAL customer Care. One thing which I noticed is that they really really rev the bike ( that come for the regular servicing ) very hard ,whether its a Discover, an avenger or a Pulsar...try to get friendly with the service ppl maybe that'll help...ask them their names, about their family & other stuff...

If the SVC ppl still tell you to wait in the a/c room then next time tell them that you have some issues & stuff probably then they'll let you stay with the bike...

Nice...
I'm getting around 48 kmpl with 80% city riding & 20% h/w...(keeping the speeds b/w 40-60)

Also,I asked the svc guy regarding the possibility to increase the height of the rear end by changing the rear suspension setting to hardest (as I thought it would give me a bump of 1 cm) but he said it won't increase the height at all but it will compress the spring & my back will hurt...
Dude...I think they are trolling you...Originally posted by sagar_phoenix View PostTried my best..Couldn't convince them..

I thought so too..so I went to the main service engineer and vented out at him saying that ' with whose permission did you use the service coupon ?? ' He said he will look into it..Originally posted by nishant.sukharia View PostDude...I think they are trolling you...sigpic

The world is full of such people. Yesterday met a guy who was calling "duke" as "duck"Originally posted by Rahulbarik View Postonly god knows how someone can be so stupid...
. He said, this NS is just shortened version of "duck". At first i didn't get what he was trying to say. But when he repeated 2-3 time I got what hes saying, and just told him its "duke" not "duck" and avoided telling him how NS is hell lot different that "duck"..LOL

+1 Just get to know the mechs and you need to be careful. And more over you shouldnt nag them no body likes to work when some one is watching over them all the time.Originally posted by sayank10 View Post^^^^build up good rapport with svc guys.it helps.

Nope. No overheating issues so far.Although the radiator fan kicks in in bumper to bumper traffic on a sunny afternoon. But no overheating indication on the console.Originally posted by kantu View PostNow, just came here to ask if any one is facing over heating issues due to 3 spark plugs ?
Also, what made you think its the 3 spark plugs that leads to over heating ?

I'm tired of explaining to people that P200 NS & Duke are very different from each other & definitely are not off road bikes...
ok, now I'm confused , doing this will increase the height or not ?Originally posted by Rahulbarik View Post@nishant: these svc guys don't want to increase suspension...they said the same to me even when i repeatedly insisted them on doing it in my bro's pulsar...
Hehe...true ,I mean I'm 5' 11" & it takes a little effort to get on the bike as a pillion but mostly I ride solo & I like bikes in which the rear end is higher than the tank...Originally posted by sayank10 View Postyou want a higher rear end, isn't the stock height enough
