Many riders are quick to change their bike's suspension settings without a second thought. But in addition to changing ground clearance, changing your suspension settings also affects cornering clearance, shock compression, wheel travel, and suspension geometry—all of which usually translates to changed handling.Originally posted by nishant.sukharia View Postand the question remains why do i race?

Ok Thanks.Originally posted by nishant.sukharia View PostNope. No overheating issues so far.
Setting suspension to hardest might decrease the height but certainly it wont increase it. Setting it to hardest means you are compressing the spring more so the height will reduce a bit. But as said by some one this is not suitable for city rides , this is ideal for a track day.Originally posted by nishant.sukharia View Postok, now I'm confused , doing this will increase the height or not ?site:xbhp.com keyword -> Google this to dig up stuff in xbhp faster

Haha... dumb a$$ guys....Originally posted by Rahulbarik View Postthey are saving electrecity
and 55kmpl is too good...
a guy from here is getting 20kmpl..
even worse he was fooled by the showroom that ns is fuel injected...he came to know the truth when i stopped him and started chatting with him...
he was about to jump off from the bridge after knowing the truth....

Riding condition - 60% city, rest highways. Speed between 60-70 in highway and 45-55 in city.Originally posted by nilesh14587 View PostFantastic..
Would be better if you also mention riding conditions, and method of calculations.
Method used is reserve to reserve.
48kmpl, with 80% city riding is nice bro.Originally posted by nishant.sukharia View PostNice...
I'm getting around 48 kmpl with 80% city riding & 20% h/w...(keeping the speeds b/w 40-60)

Also,I asked the svc guy regarding the possibility to increase the height of the rear end by changing the rear suspension setting to hardest (as I thought it would give me a bump of 1 cm) but he said it won't increase the height at all but it will compress the spring & my back will hurt...sigpicUSED IN PAST: Ct100, Victor, Xcd 135For a true motorcyclist, the straight portions of the roads exist just to take him from one turn to the next!

rightly said - recycled oil is rampantly used by work shops to make money. when buying oil, always check seal is intact and date of manufacture - I have come across advice from Castrol to follow this as fake packaging is a constant threatOriginally posted by govind.one View PostI have zero trust on the workshop folks.. so.. I will be buying the oil myself and asking them to change it in front of me.. else, God knows what golmaal they will do!

The reason has to be that a mechanic in the service centre gets only 15 minutes to service a bike viz. his quota per hour 4 bikes. So you can guess what attention the bike gets in those 15 minutes - i have come across cases where the mechanic forgot to replace the drained out engine oil, resulting in engine seizureOriginally posted by nilesh14587 View PostCalled up the BAL customer Care. They said, its BAL policy that you cannot observe the bike while servicing. You have to wait in waiting room. Now i guess its upto the svc guy.

hardest setting will result in height increase and softest setting will reduce it.....
@nilesh: that duck part was hilarious...
then i have an even more hilarious story... The day i went to test ride, a guy came naked(well almost...only half pant and a towel on his shoulder) to check out another naked(the 200ns) and asked me where the cylinder of the bike is... I thought maybe he meant silencer, so showed him the exhaust... Then he said ki no show me the cylinder, thats the silencer to... So i yelled, what do you mean by cylinder? What cylinder? Which cylinder? He replied he is searching for the NITRO CYLINDER(sylinder maybe)
now he was yelling at me that this bike has a nitro system fittted on it and so its called the pulsar 200NS... I was like WTF...and ran away
NS= NITRO CYLINDER....nay..sylinder maybe...
now beat that...hahaha...

Engine:Ride:Tires & Brakes:
Ummmm... Tires look good but I definitely got 'dhoka' on dry roads at 35 and 50 kmph on two different occasions respectively. I was not fish tailing or anything and it wasnt even hard braking either but the large tire did make a bit of noise while skidding like that. Somehow even with that, I feel quite confident because I have now learnt to use the front brakes as well. Using front brakes are like committing sins and you would not disagree with me if you have tried that in a Chetak.
Brakes are fine as far as I am concerned.. They do their work.. I am sure they would have done their work better with these tires if they had a little assistance from ABS.
Fuel Efficiency:
The dealer guy said there is half a litre of fuel in the tank and on top of which I put in 5 more litres.. Mathematically speaking I must be having 5.5 litres. Considering some 2.5 litres of reserve, I have 3 litres in hand to play with.. When I was taking my delivery, it carried a not so nice 19.3 kms and right now I am clocking 160.8 kms. Thats like some 140 kms with fuel to spare from those 3 litres I was talking about. That says an FE of 46.66 kmpl and climbing. In Chennai?? Only city riding.. Really.???
