@ all tourers what is the max speed at which the NS can be ridden continously for around 4 hrs. Is it advisable? So suppose if going on a short tour like say Jaipur which is around 265 kms from Delhi what should be technique.
Just to clarify this is just a query at the moment and i dont intend to go on a tour right now. it will be done only post 2000 km or may be more. Till then there will be short trips within and around delhi only.

I haven't got much to comment on the oil as of now. Done just 50KMs after the oil change. The oil comes quite cheap (have been used to using FS Motul Factoryline for my earlier P200Originally posted by Nhojv View Post@dominic... how does it feel after changing to mobil 20w50? can you share the costs please? what is your odo now? any heating issues?
). I bought 2 bottles at the price of Rs. 275/- each.
Initial impression though: It was already pretty smooth. Now it feels a little better with gear shifts getting smoother.** ting ting ta ting **

for my last trip i was maintaining around 70 - 80 on the highways consistently and all went well.. but always got a sore b*tt and knee after an hour or so...so non stop cruises might be difficult in IMO.. going around 90 in hot climate had the fan working a few times.. never once got a temp indicator or any issues..Originally posted by sunilyo View Post@ all tourers what is the max speed at which the NS can be ridden continously for around 4 hrs..
good to hear that mate.. thanksOriginally posted by dominic View PostI haven't got much to comment on the oil as of now. Done just 50KMs after the oil change. The oil comes quite cheap (have been used to using FS Motul Factoryline for my earlier P200

@all who is having sensor issues.. the service engineer mentioned that bajaj has sent email to the dealers saying that there would be a pin modification (don't know the details) for rectifying the sensor issues. the replacement part hasn't come yet. once it is in they will get the bike and make the changes..

Lol.. i'm riding it harder than u are.. :P 6k rpm atleast 4-5 times a dayOriginally posted by nilesh14587 View PostI never cruise at speeds more than 50kmph. Only 2 times reached 70 that too for few seconds. In short bursts i take bike to 60+ for like 4-5 seconds. RPM always kept below 4k and not less that 2k. Only 2-3 times went beyond 4.5k. I do not keep constant speed and keep varying speed and rpm both. Never stress the bike on gradients. In fact i run it much more gently than i did with my passion a year ago.
If this is hard riding, then i am guilty as charged.
Jokes apart..Seriously I do not think i rode it so hard that the engine went out of the rhythm. And a point to consider is many others also facing this issue.
anyways forget all that, just get your engine oil and oil filter changed.. it'll be way better

A tiny accident today !
I was riding at about 30-35kph wen a biker suddenly came from the left lane to the right

and i had to go right too but my bike 's handlebar hit his, and there was a bus on the right side, so my bike's handle bar hit that too and got a small scratch on it !!
But one thing i like to highlight is even though the handle bar got hit once on each side, i still had control of the bike
and stopped quickly to check for any other damage, there was none except for the scratch on the handlebar ! but still, its disheartening that my babe got a scratch!

Is there a method to check if the radiator fan is functioning as it should? I haven't felt any heating issues as such but just wanted to make sure it's functioning and rotating like it should.
My daily commute is 20KM one way. In traffic today I checked a couple of times to see if the fan was in motion. It was not. Also, the weather was quite cool today so maybe the engine wasn't hot enough for the fan to kick in. I hope am right

The bike has superb balance. Must admit.

Yesterday i drove for 100 km in total at speeds between 50-75 km. The weather was cool all day as it had been raining the previous night and during the day in some parts of Delhi. During the entire 100 km i stopped for around 10-15 around 4 times. The fan started at around 85km. I think by that time the temperature had risen enough for the fan to kick in. It spinned for around 5-10 seconds only though.Originally posted by dominic View PostIs there a method to check if the radiator fan is functioning as it should? When the fan starts you will notice it as there is a noise just like in the car.
So if you want to test if your fan is working then just go for a short tour or ride hard on a high way at around 60-70 kmps.

Radiator Fan issues
Hey friends, recently got my Blue 200NS.
I wanted to know if this is normal.
whenever i take my bike for a spin even for a short spin, the radiator fan starts and gets my RPM to 2.5k. and when i switch on the headlights, the fan is off and the RPM is normal 1.5k to 1.6k.
At nights, the headlight is always on and there is no fan issues.
I checked this with the Bajaj service, they checked and said everything is normal.

and secondly, i clocked 300kms, i wanted to change the engine oil, but some said do not change as it might void engine warranty,
Please help

Not sure whats your problem exactly. But regarding oil change, warranty voids only if you use any oil than other DTSi10000 and Bajaj gets to know of it.Originally posted by lohithbl View PostHey friends, recently got my Blue 200NS.

Better check in some other bajaj service center. I prefer In Khivraj Kasturba road or AUTO service near BSK...sigpicBengaluru NakedWolves

Might be the weather bro.. Verify the coolant level.. check if it is above the minimum mark when bike is held straight.. Sounds like an issue.. drop a mail to Bajaj asap: [email protected], if the SVC guys are saying everything is normal.. Bajaj will take care.. also, don`t forget to mention what SVC guys said!Originally posted by lohithbl View PostHey friends, recently got my Blue 200NS.

Drive Carefully...
It is not only the bikes that can be recalled by the maker!
