None of the people here have a personal conflict with the dealers. Its just their behavior that forces us find enjoyment in watching them get screwed.Originally posted by extremerocker00This thread, for your information isnt for enjoying some showroom guys getting screwed. High time you got on topic now. If you are planning to buy NS, then better have some respect for the company as well as for the showrooms.
Further, for the "If you are planning to buy NS, then better have some respect for the company..."
Yes all of us want to buy it...but don't expect us to jack-up a BAL delivery truck going to Karnataka to get the bikes as we still don't have the bikes here which insanely opposite to what the Bajaj CC says.

i got it done through one of my friend. I ordered it on the morning of 25/07/12, got it at 1 in afternoon and took delivery of the bike at 4. So it was pretty neatly executed. And do let me know if u want the IND to be done, I'll PM u my contact number.Originally posted by arghadeepdas View PostFrom where did you get the IND number plates in B'lore???
I didn't know the double stand is chargeable... IS the double stand not there in NS??
And yeah, the center stand is chargeable bro. Would cost u around Rs 570, not sure cos I don't have the bill right now, but I'm posting a pic which was taken right after the first service was done and the center stand was fitted.

Why don't you come and help us out, with your so called "Expertise".Originally posted by extremerocker00I agree to that bro. However, instead of rejoicing on some dealers getting screwed (which looks like posting cheap nonsense here), it should be escalated via the right channels and results must thus be obtained.sigpicRelationships change, evolve, and it goes deep.

Finally!
First of all, i would like to thank everyone on this thread who helped me
[Sorry for the re-post, my friend deleted my previous post as a prank
]
Without much delay, here's my experience :
Getting it from the Dealer -
This part i was not happy with at all. My mom told me to get the bike before 11 am on 9/8/12 ( as it was a good time ) So, i informed the dealer that i was going to come at 9.30. He said ok and after i went there, he told the service guys to take my bike ( which was in display ) for cleaning. After just 10 min, he came out. I went to check the bike and it appeared as if they just splashed water on it. I told him to clean it again and he said they did their best! ( Later I was able to clean the spots and grease with water and a cloth easily ) Then he took a mug ( medium sized ) of petrol and poured it into the tank. I asked the dealer what the standard amount of petrol they gave everyone was and he said it was 1 liter. I checked the coolant level and oil level ( which was not even 3/4th ) but the dealer said everything would be fine. Then he gave me the keys and after that he tried to get rid of me as soon as possible.
P.S - Even my dealer said there is no choke for NS!!
I didnt want to argue with him and found it later by myself.
Now for my review - ( I might be repeating points which others said..bear with me..
)
1. Its an attention magnet! wherever i went, it was drawing stares. I went to the petrol bunk and told him to fill 3 liters. He was staring at the bike and didnt notice he went beyond it!! I told him to stop before he puts in 10 liters and he had a sheepish grin on his face and said its my bike's fault
While doing puja at a temple, a group of devotees were with me the entire time trying to help anyway they could!!
2. Gear shifting is smooth and nothing like the previous pulsars. I hit a couple of false neutrals in the beginning but once i got used it, i had no problems at all.
3. Braking is great. It inspires a lot of confidence in the rider. ( No squeaking noise from the rear disc in my bike )
4. It is supremely stable. Once you are riding, you can barely feel the weight. This made driving in traffic a pleasure rather than a headache. And the suspension does an awesome job. Potholes are barely felt !
5. You need to keep an eye on the speedometer all the time or else you will be going at 60 before you know it. This is made even tougher because the NS begs to be ridden fast. The sound at 4-5k ( the highest i went ) will make you want to rev it harder! So, wrist control until 2000 kms will be the biggest problem i guess
6. No heating problems whatsoever ( 30 km trip )
7. No speedo errors but the digital fuel meter was all over the place. The indicator switch was ok for me. No usability issues.
Now for the important question, fuel efficiency. After the one litre put by the dealer ( not sure about this ), I put 3.41 litres ( rs.250 ) . After i reached 49 kms on the odo, The orange light switched on and i guess it meant reserve. The 49 kms was composed of only city driving ( avg speed of 35-40 kmph with few bursts of 50 or 60) I was doing a lot of gear shifting and allowing engine braking for proper run in of the bike.
P.S - Reserve indicates how many litres of fuel remaining? Can anyone shed some light on this please?
This is my experience till now
I will keep everyone updated as much as possible. I hope i get your best wishes

West-Bengal Launch in Kolkata
@all NS Interested Kolkatans...
A good News -Bajaj Customer care called just now, after yesterday's mail. They assured me that the bike has been launched all over West-Bengal at an Ex-Showroom price of 87,618/-.
They have also taken my complaint against the dealers(all of them) and have assured me that I will get a call from the dealers within 3 days.
Another thing guys - If the Dealer tells that Bajaj decides what colour comes in the next lot, its complete bull-shit. If a particular colour is not available with the dealer, and if you book it, they are bound to bring it in the next lot, as bajaj sends the color based on the Orders placed by the dealers.(and not what dealers keep on saying that it depend completely on Bajaj)
If the dealer speaks otherwise, don't even hesitate to shoot a complaint to C.Care against the dealers. They need to get Screwed BIG TIME because of their "Don't Care" attitude.
And Thanks to @CHINTAN.. for giving us the Accurate news.sigpicRelationships change, evolve, and it goes deep.
