  • Help!

I had a weird experience today. The reserve light switched on at 49 kms yesterday and so i switched the knob to reserve. Today While i was riding, the reserve light switched off when i was at 56 kms and when i turned the fuel knob to on, the light turned back on after half a km! Now i dont know how to check the mileage.. And i still dont know what is the reserve capacity of the NS.. Owners, please help!

From the time I have got the bike (2 Weeks here in B'lore) the fan has never switched on! the climate is cooler here. Please get the coolant level checked.

Bike , I dont think will be replaced as far as I know. When I got my bike, it had run 12kms I guess its to get the bike reg they have to take it to RTO or something.

ohk i'm also in bangalore btw..
But is the heat issue anything to worry about ?

A good News -Bajaj Customer care called just now, after yesterday's mail. They assured me that the bike has been launched all over West-Bengal at an Ex-Showroom price of 87,618/-.

They have also taken my complaint against the dealers(all of them) and have assured me that I will get a call from the dealers within 3 days.

Another thing guys - If the Dealer tells that Bajaj decides what colour comes in the next lot, its complete bull-shit. If a particular colour is not available with the dealer, and if you book it, they are bound to bring it in the next lot, as bajaj sends the color based on the Orders placed by the dealers.(and not what dealers keep on saying that it depend completely on Bajaj)
If the dealer speaks otherwise, don't even hesitate to shoot a complaint to C.Care against the dealers. They need to get Screwed BIG TIME because of their "Don't Care" attitude.
Guess Shibadip will be the happiest of the lot..

I think its just an issue with the faulty sensor. Get it checked at the svc..
User manual says 2.4lts of reserve..

Ok people, I was a unfortunate victim of quite a few niggles ( posted a few weeks back) with my pulsar 200ns which i had. Happy to say most of it is solved.

Just wanted to share my experiences:
        1. All of you facing issues with idling, head to the SVC and get the timing (svc guy said carb timing, not sure) checked. For me it worked and the bike starts @one press.
        2. Anyone at all facing mileage issues, get the AFR screw checked. Now mine gives around 41kmpl.
        3. Popular Bajaj (Bannerghatta and Jayanagar) SVC are the worst. Please do not buy or svc vehicles from them. They handle the bikes like trash (personal exp.)
        4. No matter what the showroom guys say, please please take a look at the vehicle and select it before you buy it. Shiba is right.

Now i'm done with 500kms on my bike and just got my bike after 1st service. The bike runs smooth and is super awesome.
I would like to think of the incidents as an opportunity to know my bike better and hope they are the end of the troubles..

Best way to know you are in reserve is, there will be a missing like thing, when there is no fuel in main. Never care about fuel meter or light indicator. It will go on off so many times.
And the reserve capacity is 2.4 liters. On a full reserve, one can run about 100 kms.. depending on the riding style.

NO need to worry guys. Am 5'5" - 58KG and I managed it well in the TD. did not booked because only black and Yellow were there(MGB Hyderabad). i wanted to see all the 4 colors first in flesh before booking.

                        • for ns bajaj customer care is doing great work ,latest being kolkata scenario.same as dealers in kolkata were saying after puja before puja tales, here in patna too the dealer saying crap nonsense about release dates. that too when A senior manager in bajaj told hindustan daily that "bike will be available in all of north india by auguat end.".will wait for a week and then will shoot a mail to BAL regarding the dates.

I'm too from B'lore, I have the fan switching on during traffic and when ridden on open road it doesn't switch on.

So if its the same case for you, then don't worry!!

                              • Need a suggestion

My Pulsar 200NS has ran around 375 KMS and for 2 months I would be out of country, what are the necessary measures to be taken to keep thebike in good condition..
