B'lore Guys, I am at 490 kms on odo. Kindly suggest if Auto Service @ BSK is good for first service. There are some issues with the bike.
1. Chain noise is loud, kat-kat sound at lower rpms and high gear (not engine knocking, might be chain issue)
2. Disc brake squeaking, when running and braking.
3. Vibration near knee (the plastic part)

Is auto service the best place to get it serviced? although these are minor issues, I want them to be resolved

Bike on the whole is awesome. Excellent braking, good mileage (consistently 44 in city)

1stly never trust a Digital Fuel Indicator to be even 90% accurate. They always seem to have their mind of their own. However with more riding experience, one will get a fair idea about the fuel from the indicator. Also when the Orange light comes up, do not instantly assume that the fuel has gone to reserve.

Now, when your bike ACTUALLY goes to reserve, rest the Trip A to zero. Go to the nearby fuel pump, and reload the tank. Try to be consistent with the refueliing.(I mean try to top up with a fixed Qty every time- say Rs250/- or 500/- or 3 ltrs or 8 ltrs whatever u are comfortable with) This will help you to have a fair idea of how much kms can u go with that fuel as per ur bike's mileage.
Then again when your bike ACTUALLY goes to reserve, note the trip meter, and reset it again. Repeat the whole procedure. Now doing this 2-3 times will give you fair enough idea abt the fuel and the mileage you are achieving.

You can go ahead with autoservice, been visiting for all kinds of minor or major issues to them for now more than 1 year for my ninja, fully satisfied ..
And they are comparatively cheaper then compared to khivraj Indranagar.

BTW got a volt metre installed.

Also, at 1600Kms on ODO.. did rip-run!

Touched 149! Amazing vibe free experience.

Guys, who ever have got the delivery or are going to get their new NS, please make sure that you have the front, mud flap installed. This is especially true for Bangalore, where a majority of bike from Khivraj are delivered without it.

dude....the fit and vision of the above models(which are in the same range) is same, no difference ....only in little higher range u get the material difference... mostly u get only L size in market, mine is also L and it fits properly for me. reg price i have already mentioned in my earlier post,these are the prices in Pune.

where did you get that volt meter from ?.. i want to get a G-force meter like the one on nissan gtr and corvette zr1 (a cheaper and simpler replica ) .. it just requires a simple accelerometer sensor and a bar graph-digital display ..

I got it from Navnish, he also has a shop in Jeevan Bhima Nagar. You can ask him to source, specific stuff, like G-Force metre, if it's feasible.

That's a Volt Metre, and it's showing the open voltage of the battery terminals ie: 14.6Volts!

Fan getting switched on

The fan in my NS gets switched on quite frequently while I am in heavy traffic and in lower gears for long time..Is this a problem ?

Hey thanks for the information..this Mud Flap is a part of the standard accessory only right..there are no separate charges for it ?

I will be getting my BLUE NS delivered in few days and that too from Khivraj Indiranagar..what else i need to check ??

Also, is the Center Stand available now in Bangalore showrooms ?

I will get it installed right away before the delivery if it is there..Do you have it now on your NS ??

Khivraj Indira Nagar does not have centre stand now... We will have to wait.. and yes Mud flap will not be charged separately i also got my bike from Khivraj Indira nagar...

Before delivery check the coolant level, engine oil level, move the bike to look for any noise coming , check the brakes , all lights ,etc

If you find any scratch on the body ask him to replace the part. He might reply that this scratch is caused in transit from Bajaj to the showroom ; and not after coming to the showroom , but in any case you have the right to ask for a new one.

Yes it's perfectly fine, if the ambient temperature is warm enough, say more than 35 degrees. Engine gets heated up much more in snail pace traffic.

Yes, it's part of the standard accessory no extra. I have the Centre Stand installed as well from Khivraj Kasturba road only. Comes to 630 buck including labour charges. It's available right away.
