Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Don't do that! Level is to be checked with the bike upright (like in centre stand) and engine OFF. When the engine is running, the oil pump sucks the oil and pumps it to all corners of the engine, and it sucks from the area close to the window. Even if you put another litre, when the engine starts, the window will go empty!Originally posted by MarkNS View Post

Can't see a near ground on low and hign beam or did you set it like that? By the way nice output.Originally posted by MarkNS View PostLow beam
High beam
This is in my parking space so you won't really understand the light output as it would be on the road, but it should give you an idea.Put The Pedal To The Metal

There is a small piece welded on the pedal. (The brake light's spring is connected to this small piece). But this small piece is welded on to the pedal at different levels for different pedals, due to Make in India manufacturing precision
In yours, it has been welded lower than required. This piece also serves as a stopper. It stops against the bike's body, along with it stops the pedal. Now because yours is lower, it will stop later in its travel upward. Along with it, the pedal will also go higher. Ok here is what you have to do:
Mark the spot on the piece (piece with brake light spring) which 'stops' against the bike body. Take out the pedal. Spot weld a small nut or iron piece (height 4 or 5 mm) on the position you have marked. That's it! Problem solved

Grt. Welding remains the option...Originally posted by krixna View PostI'll tell you the secret... Shhhhh

I respect her very much. That's why I removed the pedal, did the welding on it, gave it a nice coat of paint, and fit it back on the bike. ( welding machine should never be connected to the bike )Originally posted by MarkNS View PostI hate these welding and hammering things onto the bike business. It feels like I'm not respecting her.
Your other option is, remove your pedal, take it with you, and buy a new pedal in which the stopper has been welded higher than the present one (compare and buy)

There is no need for Welding.
You just need to remove the brake lever and put it again, while putting it back the stick where the brake lever takes support has teeth if you look closely like sprocket.
So your brake lever can be adjusted as per your need.

It has a screw and that can go in only one angle. The angle in which the brake rod screw holder comes out. And that is the problem.Originally posted by Seamus View PostThere is no need for Welding.

If that was the case, any mechanic would have done it with just a number 12 spannerOriginally posted by Seamus View PostThere is no need for Welding.

It can be done mate.. i did it and lowered the pedal.. Also more finely adjusted by the adjuster nut that is connected to brake pump! ..Originally posted by krixna View PostIf that was the case, any mechanic would have done it with just a number 12 spanner

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Guys serious problem. Please help me out. Was riding the bike prefectly without any problems. All smooth and fine . Then all of the sudden bike shut itself off . Cranked the starter madly but no response. So took it to a local mechanic nearby. He took off a spark plug of the bottom from lhs off the bike and poured in engine oil through it(plug hole). Then he cranked the starter and after doing it for 5 seconds bike came to life.. i asked him the problem and he said that the problem is in the engine's compression. I dont know what he meant so please enlighten me on it. I felt really bad since i took real care of the bike in the initial stages and i never take my bike northwards of 6k rpm (have redlined only 3-4 times not more). It is the second time the bike shut itself off suddenly while riding and not starting after that.. the first time (200-300kms) back, i cranked for 20s continuously and it started after waiting for 30 mins :/ . I went to the svc and they've told me to check in there on Sunday but please tell me what is the issue? Svc told the same i.e. compression problem and they had to check thoroughly and possibly do valve lapping (what is valve lapping??) ..
Odo around 5200kms
Bike is a year old
Servicings done 430, 1867, 3305 and 4626 kms . Running on motul 5100 since last 900kms ..
