BTW Sunilg, it was a pleasant surprise to meet you yesterday eve. I haven\\\\\\\'t noticed that another red-black 200ns is there in that dense traffic but thanks to your eagle eyes that you spotted me. It was nice having a few kind words with you. Lets plan to meet some day as we\\\\\\\'re residing in almost same vicinity..

It was great meeting you too Varun! as soon as I noticed a red-black 200NS with a UP14 number, I began wondering if it was you. Did a few calculations - came a little closer to check if the fuel guage of the bike is working or not, then followed it for a few meters to see if the tyres are MRF

      Will catch up soon!

I tried 1.5 for front and 1.75 for rear... And the Euroslips got converted into EuroGrips
So from 28 PSI to around 24 PSI for the front and from 32 to 28 for the rear.
Its not rocket science but effective as you are knowingly increasing the contact area of the tire with the ground to increase friction.
But I\'d still suggest to avoid it as it\'ll lead to more wear and tear on the tires(reduction of life) and effectively the braking will suffer and most importantly, Handling will go for a toss.

This mod has been used by people in Iceland for ages to drive on ice. and is one of the most common methods to increase traction. Using it on road for long terms, skeptical, and not so sure.

This single question has been analysed, discussed and killed practically a thousand times on this thread. Please do search through it for right answers once.

Btw, Motul 7100 20w50(Synthetic)(Overkill but the best Engine oil for NS that you can get.)
Motul 5100 20w50(Semi synthetic)(Ticks all the right boxes and is very highly rated.)
Motul 3100 20w50(Mineral)(If your bike has not completed 10k, this is the one to go for.)

The oil change cycle for these engine oils are sufficiently large but they will be slightly costlier than their competition.
IMO, worth every little Gandhi\'s they cost.

5100 is the way to go, 7100 won\'t make much of a difference over 5100 except that it might last a little longer (keep in mind 20w50 is preferable if the climate is going to be hot around where you live) I have used of these oils in my bike and the 5100 makes more sense over the 7100.
I would rather be riding my bike thinking of God, than sitting in the temple thinking of my bike.

Grip is good, and interestingly, handling and braking are better than before!
Wear and tear... Well that\'s exactly what I\'m looking for want to get new ones by 10K kms

                      Theoretically, This should not happen.
But that\'s the fundamental problem with theory.

Want to discuss something about the Eurogrips

I checked both the TVS site, and the REAR tyre on my bike. Both say the same: Max. load 265kg at 230kPa cold. (130/70-17 Eurogrip)

230kPa is 33.3psi. Now, nobody loads or fills tyres to more than 80% of the manufacturer\'s maximum rating. That is the usual safety practice. It has been like that for all the cars and bikes I have driven/ridden. For example a Bridgestone radial on a Maruti says Max. 325kg @ 300kPa cold (44psi). And nobody fills more than 32psi. That is, 72% of the maximum rating.

But 80% of 33.3psi (max. rating of 130/70-17 Eurigrip) is only 26psi.

So what does Bajaj mean by telling us to fill 32psi in a tyre with max rating 33psi??! Fill to 96% of the maximum rating??!!

Can you people (with other brands of tyres) please check on your bike what is the maximum load and pressure for your REAR tyre and reply? (MRF, CEAT, Pirelli etc)

Of course, the front tyre is equally important, the Eurogrip says 200kg@33psi. And I fill it to recommended rating of 25psi. That is 75% of the maximum rating. Well, that sounds fine. But the rear.... WT....??

Or is there something wrong in the way I have ubderstood what is written on the tyres?

Great.. If I remember correctly or may be vaguely, this specification is already suggested in the Bike Manual for single riders. The former one is for riding with Pillion.. So if your view completely changed after reducing the air pressure, I now reckon why Bajaj might have chosen EuroGrip over MRF. Its just that a change in the air pressure is required when you ride with the pillion. Which offcourse is pain to do every now and then. Otherwise its okay to conclude that EuroGrips fair better than MRF overall. BTW when I owned RX135, I seldom chose TVS over MRF Zappers as TVS offered better grip, riding quality and stability as a few friends of mine never liked MRF Zapper. This is way back in Mid-2000s.
Pace your Ride the way to you want to Pace your Life. Both can be dangerous if taken too fast - all the time...!

feels like riding lower cc bike.. but engine has got much smoother!
