Also, throttle response is good and the midrange is good for city riding, it cruises without any jerking at 40kmph in 6th gear. Fuel efficiency (overall city+highway, speeds 40-80) at this tuning is 38-40kmpl. Have not tried top speed yet, because it still has not covered 2000kms. But I get 90kmph@6000rpm in 6th gear (rear sprocket 36T from Pulsar 220)
Can tell how you tuned it? Did you make adjustments to the carb?

All the people I know who know a bit more about bikes than I do have told me not to go for those tyres. So I'm in two minds whether or not to go for those.

They're all suggested Michelin Pilot Street, but I don't want to go for those because the price is toppling my budget. Plus, radials won't last that long.
will definitely post a review of the tyres

Kindly let us know how you managed to put a 36T on the 200ns as the P200 NS has 39T sprocket with 6 mounting points whereas P220 has 36T with 4 mounting points

I may sound like a novice here.. But just want to understand, what difference would it make by changing the sprocket with a different specification..? Guess I read sometime earlier, that there is difference in pick-up/mileage.. What would be the exact difference? Improvement?

Two of the holes in P220's sprocket *will directly fit* into two holes on the P200's hub. For the remaining 4 bolts of NS to fit in the new sprocket, you have only empty spaces :P You have to mark (on the new sprocket) where the bolts come, and weld 4 pieces at these points. Not a big welding job. But ! ... Weld one piece, let the sprocket cool by itself (don't use water!!), then weld next piece.....

Check what speed your NS goes at 5000rpm in 6th gear. With the 36T sprocket you will get 76kmph@5000rpm. See the difference?

Post some pic ... but why you put p220 sprocket .. ??
its gives 5-7kmph more on each gears .. but practically no increase in top end ...

                        So here's the deal

                        Rear sprocket:

More teeth= more acceleration , less top end

Less teeth= more top end, less acceleration

                        Front sprocket:

More teeth= More top end, less acceleration

Less teeth= More acceleration , less top end.

Not for top end bro. Ratio is 92.3% (i.e, 36/39) now of what was earlier. Means, for any given road speed, engine will be only 92.3% of the rpm earlier

There would be a 6kmph difference. But welding the sprocket to the wheel; I am not a big fan of. Thank you for your reply.

Welding 4 pieces on the sprocket only.
Even if you want to, you cannot weld steel sprocket to alloy wheel.
