I got a call from ICICI bank somehow , ( blame the search engine & online firms ) and they quoted me a ROI of 13.49% on personal loan for 3 years for 1 lac ( which is what I asked for ). It's fixed ROI.

Is it cheap ? & how does personal loan works ? Should I blow them a whistle ?

Aahhh......That gives me a sigh of relief concluding that there are few thousand bucks , I can chop-off from my loan amount. I will inquire with few showrooms to confirm the price. I am not getting enough time out of my office hours to spend in showrooms. The one , I had a word with was located in Laxmi Nagar ( it's next block to my house. ) He was also offering finance , but that was 18%....lol. ( @1,03,00 INR OTR ).

What 18% OMG.... Ask him that you are looking for bike finance ..... .... not required finance to purchase arm for bank robbery

Always cross check with two / three showroom no matter how far they are as you will get service at any of the service station you want.

13.49% is on a higher side.. Well it depends on your monthly take home salary as well.. Anyway icici is expensive.. Try hdfc or citi. And u can bargain as well on personal loan rates.. They should agree on 13%.. I got it at 12.5 during an offer from citi..

Really !!? ( It seems easy to procure for me , and I really want to avoid hassle as much I can.) All right then , I count your input towards ICICI . I will check with the Bank , after a get a few more nods from here to ensure that I don't miss on any better option , just to regret later! :P

I still presume that BAFL rate is cheapest of all specially for their own product...

fill your requirement here "http://www.bajajautofinance.com/" and see how they will react and also you can complaint about such high rate of interest..... or you can get minimum roi from national bank too

So ideally personal loans are more expensive than Two wheeler loans , right ?
I don't mind paying 1-2% more in 2-3 years , as that would be worth the hassle avoided.
What's the cheapest ROI , I might get if I try my best ? Consider the take home at 25k/mon.

I have an account in Central Bank of India , Gujarat. Would that be cheaper ?

                ----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

On a side note , this might sound funny , but I would be getting a Driving License next month . I will visit Gujarat and get it done asap. Just wanted to know if that may trouble the registration and loan for me ?

Hello friends. I have 200ns for past 2 years and I usually use it for touring. But since past 2 weeks(atleast), the mileage I'm receiving is just about 20km/l. I had a petrol leakage problem in December 2014 and the whole carburator was checked by Bajaj service station and one of the jets was found to be blocked. That problem got sorted out but since then I'm getting very low mileage.

I checked for Carburator tuning and even showed to the mechanic there and in my opinion, the tuning of Carburator/AFR screw/idle RPM and all is perfectly fine after repeated trial and error. What else could be the reason for drop in mileage and what can be solution to increase it to atleast 30-32?

I still assumed its on higher side... two wheeler loan must be between 9% to 11% ... why dont you try BAFL... are they not giving you loan ..???

They are but they are giving just 60% of the amount , which is less than what I need.
                          HDFC is offering higher ROI.
BFAL seems around 12% for 60% of amount.

                              hi guys,

I'm new to this forum. i recently started searching for a used Pulsar 200 NS for only reason is my usage is dame low compared to others. i use for max 300 kms per months.

so buying a new pulsar is not worth the amount of kilometers i'm running per year which will be around 3000- 4000 km .

can you guys please say what is correct value i can buy a bike with below conditions.

2013 feb, 17k kms, - expected price - 65k by the seller. i'm ready to give 50k as the insurance is expiring within a week.
2014 march, 6 k kms, expected price - 85 by the seller, i'm ready to give 68k and this too have insurance for less than a month.

so guys suggest what should i do now?

I Sumedh. I bought my bike from Raigad Bajaj Showroom and did my first 2 services from Raigad Bajaj svc. They are just "Okay", not good, not bad. But the problem is you don't have any choice for servicing in Navi Mumbai. Nerul and Vashi service centres were abruptly closed 2-3 months back. If your bike is under warranty then you should go there; if not, there are better options outside.
