At last guys............. am getting my NS on this Saturday.

Dealer called me today evening and they said bike has arrived. Complete financial things tomorrow and take bike Saturday.

To Chintan, MG, Suro, Ashwini & All Ns owners, I would like you suggest me few things before taking the delivery of my bike and make sure it's not tampered or has vib issue's or steam from exhuast pipe or any or stuff since i new to biking and do not have much knowledge about bikes or checking out with faults since the two bike's i own has alot of vibrations xP
Any faults to look for before i buy ?

Well, its a good news for me and I believe for all the owners and perspective owners. My NS first mileage figures. When I got the bike, the ODO showed 13.9 km of running. I got a tank full (Extra Premium) and then yesterday at 577 km of running, I got the tank full again.
So, Average = (577-13.9/11.38)= 49.48 km / ltr.

ODO Reading: 13.9 km
Amount : Rs 800
Distance Traveled : 563.1 km
Rate(Rs/L) : Rs 70.28
Petrol Type : Extra Premium
Litre of Petrol : 11.38
Average : 49

@ashwini- it's not smoke, it's steam as the pipe gets hot and when a little water comes in contact. it happens all the time in rainy season.. same on any bike.. just observe again..

Guys I would like to thank all of you for posting their first service bill details. I was charged Rs 1168 for the first service of my NS which was way too much as compared to others. I shot a mail to bajaj day before yesterday and yesterday received 7 calls from the service centre starting from requesting and gradually culminating into begging to come over. I visited them in them yesterday evening and all of them were so apologetic that I was kind of shocked than surprised. They even offered me a refund of excess charges but I asked them to adjust the same in next service.

Once again it was all because of you guys that I got the deal fair and square. Kudos to you all.

@Xennai_Warrior;hey bro, when will the deliveries start in mangalore.

That's the way to present it. Even if you are saying that there were vibes post 8k you have backed up that with a humble reason and that's totally and completely understandable. If anyone has still doubts on how to present observations of a test ride, well here's an example to learn from.

Nice review bro... there are few of these kind which provide some usefull info..even most of them will be discussing silly things or fighting (even I do that some times). .... thanks and keep updating if any other such experiences.

there's been a lot going on about vibrations. is this completely due to engine or is there something lik the frame mayb to be pointed at. coming of a RE which literally rips my arms off at 110kmph.. i don mind the vibes as long as it doesn damage the bike in anyway.. So is it ok for the bike to do so??

I have been following this thread since @chintan got the bike.. I do not own this bike yet.. but will hopefully buy it soon.. but since I have read so many discussion posts and reviews on this and different websites.. This is what I have been able to conclude so far about the bike. This post could be helpful for the people for who are thinking to buy this mighty machine (these two words might have given you the picture of the post already) ....

Little bit of History about me.
I am coming mostly from Ambition 135 and Royal enfield 350cc Standard background and I recently went for test ride of this bike.

1. About the looks:- I have gone to showroom and as some of the members have already said that the pictures dosn't tell the complete story of the bike. You get only half of it. The real magic you will only feel when you see it live.. One word.. Looks awesome (two words infact ).. Sp. the Yellow one..

2. Pickup and performace:- This bike looks more like a guy with Formal shirt with tie and Jeans pant. I mean it has the sense of Maturity and Early youthfulness as well. To put in simple words, I did not feel that old punchy pickup for which pulsar is known for, but I never got know when I had reached that speed that I wanted, and in lesser time then I expected. I mean it is more than what is expected out of a typical 200 CC engine.

3.Mileage:- Though I don't own this bike yet so I don't have any right to say what it would be, but if I take out the average of averages that people have posted over here, it looks it will easily deliver 45+ in most of the indian driving conditions..

4. Vibes:- Since I have recently sold my RE 350 CC (two weeks ago), I would say that it did not have any vibes at all (at least i did not feel). The people those who say that this bikes have vibes.. you are more than welcome to try a RE 350CC sp. old model, they will understand how actually a bike vibrates.. more over vibes is a perceptional thing.. "aur waise b Veham ka koi ilaaj nahi hota."

5. Heating Issues:- I could feel any heat at all.. though I could not get to ride it for very long.. but yes.. no body has officially claimed heating issues so far on any site or forum.

6. Gearing:- Ah.. that was an absolute delight. One of the smoothest gear shifting that I have ever come across.

What I will change immediately after I buy this bike :-
1. Saree guard.. which I think I should get a after market one.
2. Horns.. Trust me.. Its like a Huge body builder guy like Mr. World Ramakant with a feminine voice. (Mentioned Ramakant coz he is an Indian so does Pulsar).

What I liked the most:-
Oil cooling system.
Six speed transmission
Response of the bike in any gear ratio.

To conclude:
I used to be a pulsar hater (no offences.. due to so call un-realiable engines). But my perception about pulsar changed when I did some research on 200NS and other pulsar model (people can be wrong at times ). I think I am going to buy this bike asap.

SVC guys and after sales service will always be same with all the brands, its just if you are lucky enough.. will get a good one...

One liner:-
The Bike is Quick, vibrant, stylish and Responsive, fuel efficient, and reliable at the same time. It was fun riding this wild horse.

hmmmm can this be taken up with Bajaj as to why in some of the Production motorcycles this is happening. This is because the production motorcycles are supposed to be a notch upwards than the test motorcycles and if the test motorcycles where that smooth, then we shouldn't be having such observations. There has to a reasoning for this. What say??

@faffy -- dude , the vibes which you have described are the exact same things which i experienced during my test ride .. people here thought that i am trying to degrade bajaj .. i think that the vibes are because of improperly fitted plastic parts .. check closely for panel gaps .. tell the people at svc to completely remove all the plastic parts and put it back again ...
@people here -- did you now get what i had described earlier ?

So, how much did they say they would deduct and what did they have to say about why they charged extra?
