    • TD bikes

Today, I met 2 200 NS owners at the SVC. They had a few niggles with their bikes. So one of them wanted to compare it with the TD bikes.
So one bike came out of the warehouse. I though it was being delivered to someone as it was brand new. ODO - 3 kms. panels covered in polythene layer. No registration. No temporary number. But surprise, that was a TD bike.
After reading so much reviews, inevitable comparisons & gyan by everyone, I also opted for TD.
Then I realized that even the leg guards were not attached. Speedometer was disconnected.
Out of curiosity I asked "is this vehicle for TD"? The answer was yes.

So this is just a suggestion for you guys to be aware of what bike is being delivered to you.

P.S. - KTM did not allow us the TD before the vehicle was registered in the company's name. That TD duke is still there - MH12 __ 9002. Though it is not maintained well!

Bro trust your mechanic but make sure that you watch them all the time when they service the bike.
Mine was the first bike to be serviced in Pune, so i had no option but to trust them...

first thing i would like to mention are the horns , i did not like them at all they sound weak and they will not be enough when using it on highways i think
+1, sometimes on highways you really wish that you had a more powerful horn.

How did you make out that the digits were incorrect. I mean we know that the digits are incorrect all the times due to the speedo error, but was it so erroneous in your case?

One of my friend had the same problem, the problem is not with the muck and mud its something within the rear disc brakes... please dont let them go and pursue them to rectify the issue ASAP.

yes , i dont know if its in my case only or not. once i was riding the bike and the speedometer was showing 0 speed i was like . and at one time i was driving around 40 or something i guess and the speedometer started showing 170,180,155 the digits were changing very fast. this has happened sometimes should i report my problem to svc ?? is it a big issue ?

If it goes by by splashing water then it is most probably the muck... but there were some issues with my friends rear brake making noise, which was later sorted out...

Tell the svc guys this... but i think they wont agree to it untill and unless they see it. And you are eligible for a new speedometer if this is not caused by some faulty setting.

its normal... when you wash your bike or car... its feels more smooth... because all the rubber parts & brake pads kind parts get soft(moisture) for some time...

One of my friends had earlier experienced it on his R15, and that was caused due to some electricals issue... On a side note, have you checked the speedo cables, maybe some loose contact there?

                              • [QUOTE=ashwini.anand23;844164] Today, there has been not even a single drop of rain that has fallen. Its petty hot and humid here in NCR. Its not steam, that is for sure.

A wild guess if its not sorted out yet. You happened to have changed the engine oil without getting oil filter changed. May be in these two events, some oil must have flown out and was then burning due to temperature building on the exhaust or the black metal piece which is bolted must be carrying some oil from previous change(accidental spill). May be that's why it was fuming up.

The showroom got 3 black NS ( i wish they got other colours as well ) Sat on it for the first time and let me assure you, no way a P220 will give you the same feeling! ( no offense to any P220 owners ) i am 6ft 1" so i didnt have any problem balancing it.. Even the duke has arrived here and it looked great as well. But my heart is smitten only by One Bike - The Pulsar 200 NS - that is all.

                                Few pics for anyone interested
As for the pics, the Duke 200 really looks so tiny and incomplete on you. You have a real good height I guess and P200NS looks more full on you. Personal opinion mate.
