Engine braking.. I said is both good and bad.. bad because of the increased revving on the engine and transmission.. remember reading in a thread somewhere that Engine braking wasn`t recommended in Running in.. and it is bad because.. it overheats the engine.. so.. if I am wrong.. I am extremely sorry for any confusion I caused.. so.. I just didn`t guess.. I will post the links as soon as I get the links.. I said.. don`t rely on Engine for braking because it is not the primary purpose of the engine.. at lower rpm, engine braking offers stability.. true.. I skipped that part hoping he knows that.. so.. I am sorry all.. my deepest apologies for creating "Confusion".. that was not why I said that.. I was just sharing what I knew.. sorry again..!!

now i don't have to change my riding style..
Yup you will love her more than your P150. I'm so confused to call my bike him/her..Originally posted by Shibadip View PostSure buddy..
Am very exited to get my beast. And will love her and take care of her just like I did with my P150.
Sorry friend, but I might have missed your Earlier post..(change of ur avtar pic might have been the culprit
)
There is a slot for Engine Guard on the NS frame as discussed by @payeng and others.. But a Duke engine Guard wont fit coz of the Exhaust design. Will try to find something once I have my Beast.
Nice Pics... Keep Riding

Booked Red I guess?

I asked the service centre guy about installing LED and he said it is not a problem and wont void the warranty. When I specified about the battery warranty, he said that he battery is safer with LEDs than the stock bulb as it consumes less power! I think he is right about that! He even told me that if there is some issue, I just need to replace the modded items with stock ones! He promised me that he'll take care of the rest!

Its not the speed.....it is all about the skill !!!!

These extended warranty schemes r bullshit. Can be claimed only if u do all that scheduled maintenance services for ur bike for that whole 5 years in that particular dealership. Sales executives promote these to benefit their incentives!Originally posted by twinblades View Postdoes it apply with 1 showroom or extended warranty something bajaj offers to all their bikes

As far as I know, this scheme applies to all showrooms, for all Bajaj Bikes

No....there is nothing written about 5 year service and all in the t&C.
Only limitation is that you can claim a max of only 10k in the 3rd year. Its not the speed.....it is all about the skill !!!!

Good night guys
Great!! Try to stay with the bike when they take it to the workshop! You'll probably learn lots of things!! Giving 100rs to the mechanic will make sure that your bike is being given more care in the workshop!! I believe its worth the money you pay!! More chain lube, cleaner bike.....all for 100rs extra!
by the way, did you change the engine oil after 100km??Its not the speed.....it is all about the skill !!!!

stick to bajaj dtsi oil till atleast 2000km.and the question remains why do i race?
every finishing line is the begining of a new race.
#i have learnt to manipulate my own adrenaline and the perception of biking is different.
#overkill is underrated.
#how random roads may appear there is always a destination.sigpic
#i don't subscribe to co-incidence,either it is the rider or the other moron on the road
(:)people keeps on saying add spark to life, bajaj got hold of that idea and added an extra spark to bike.

Change the oil immediately. 450km should be the odo reading according to the users manual. You'll get BAJAJ Dtsi oil at the service center.....But, experienced riders said in this thread that MINERAL oil is good till 2000kms!! Atleast try to stick to semi synthetic oil....I think what we get in the showroom is fully synthetic...I am not sure about this though! Its not the speed.....it is all about the skill !!!!
