  • Got my blue NS today. Had to drive from agency 45 kms away .(All Highway)
Highest speed touched was 60(on speedo) a few times, it reaches 60 @ around 4.2 K Rpms in 6th gear.

Ride quality was as expected good and more refined than previous bajaj bikes(haven't driven 135 ls yet).

Riding posture was in between sporty and commuter. One can relax in straight back position in long routes driving one handed.

Only one problem i noticed is that once engine is heated up(after a 20 km straight run), the bike is idling at 2.5K rpms.
What i thought to be above situation's reason is : I think i heard the sound of the radiator fan rotating as bike was idling at 2.5rpms, i might be done so that the radiator gets enough juice from the engine and not run on battery.

I know other people are having problems like this ,is it a problem?, Has anyone resolved it.

    • It seems like a lot of people are confused about how to ride during the run in period. This is the best article I found ( thanks to payeng) which explains what to do and why to do it. Just go through it everyone..

Bike Chronicles of India: Engine Running In- Comprehensive Details [What, Why & How]

I am following the above method with engine braking. Never crossed 5k rpm. I hope its the right method.

and I went on a 20 km ride with my friend yesterday ( on quite a rough road with many potholes )and he had only one thing to say - he could not feel the bumps at all! The bike was very stable and I didn't even feel like there was a person sitting behind me.

I am not into hard cornering, so I can only say that its very flickable. And I never tried removing my hands to check the tilt towards left side as I felt that it was unnecessary!

Ride safely and responsibly. Remember, we have just one life.

@shibadip: now i understand what you mean by that dirt bike feel that day... and yes i went with too much expectations and got disappointed but who cares when i am getting all these under a lakh its like an end of season sale...
rightly said bro..we should avoid too much engine braking...btw its really cool what Bajaj is offering..like Chaitra Sale or should I say Pantaloones 50%off sale..

                  • When the tank is made of fibre then how it will provide the sheen and the feel good factor which a metal tank provides?
                    How?

                    • 2nd test ride

Today i went to my local mechanic's shop for some work and suddely a blue ns came... After a few minutes i learned that the owner is the mechanic's friend... So i somehow convinced him for a ride and he happily agreed... So without wasting time, i hopped on and started the engine... Bike had 800kms on odo and first service done... I just rode for a few hundred meters and then returned and handed him the keys... Then came the shocker...he told me to rip the bike to feel the power and started pulling wheelies... I was like WTF! Then he told me to go for another ride and rip it...and i happily agreed so i asked him if i can keep the bike for 10 mins and ride it...he said okay and i offered him 50 bucks so borrowed a helmet and out i went... Found some empty roads and ripped it...and its a much better feeling than the test ride bike... There were a few sharp turns and found cornering to be really really good... Though the punch is missing, but it goes like a rocket clocked maximum 127 in 5th in less than 500mts before braking hard for a speedbreaker...front brake is good but not awesum but the rear is too good... Tyres still spoiled the party... Nearing redline, the exhaust note is maniac and the pull from 8k to 10k rpm is OMG! still felt stability and feedback could have been better...low end torque is enough while riding alone... But this bike wont give wheelspins, powerwheelies and powerslides like duke or even 220... But simply loved the engine... Cutting through traffic is fun and locking the rear wheel and drifting into gaps is so much easy thanks to the ultra sharp rear brake and poor tyres... Headlight was good, horn is rubbish, indicator switch a pain and the blue backlit switches is glaring at night and causes problem... Once while braking hard, hit my b@!!$ on the tank hard and that forced me to return to the garage... The test ride was fun and i am happy awesum engine...but bajaj needs to work more on the chasis

Where exactly did you get so lucky, bro? Was the owner a mechanic too? Or one of those SVC people who's fiddling with somebody's to-be ride?

Once or twice, you can rip her above 50kmph,but for a very short time, that is! No issues.

                              • Bajaj Pulsar 200ns

hello to all the 200ns owners I just joined this awesome site

Yesterday is the end of my wait to get my own 200ns from swadeshi bajaj rajouri garden show room.

As this is my first 200cc bike so I just want to know few things like

1 Whats the ideal speed for running period of bike.
2 At what speed with which gear.
3 whats the RPM if we start the bike first time in morning

I well be very thankfull if some help me in this.
