Finally good to hear someone using 7100 for 5.5k. I drained my oil at exactly 5k something. 7100 lasts well over 4k KMS easily without fuss, provided the usage circumstances. Frequent redlining and revving nature might reduce the time, but 5.5 is a little long, as I personally squeeze every drop of life from the oil and when drained it was still good, at least visibly it was brown.

But I'd suggest you change your engine oil.

Damn I should be more careful w.r.t tire pressure then

Actually around 500kms earlier itself I felt it was time for change but just was being lazy. Now I feel its serious time that I get it changed.

Also what's the expiry of 300v motul then?

Currently running on 300V. Trust me, you're way better off with 7100. Having been used all these oils, I can still vouch for the best performance offered by the 5100 and 7100. The former is the best suited for my bike. 300V is EXCELLENT every drop of it it, but practically way way useless for our puny CC bikes. They are best left for racing and even Motul doesn't recommend them for street use. That's why they have these alternatives.

      Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
      The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

      THE END

Cost : 590, no it doesn't require any other extra changes or upgrades just
Just remove your stock bulb and plug the night breaker

Spec is similar to stock one H4 60/55 but supreme performance

                Photos I'll upload soon

Have been following this thread for sometime and and planning to upgrade from my humble Pulsar 150 to the 200NS.
Just wanted to find out, how comfortable or not so comfortable is the pillion seat while touring? Also, wanted to know if anyone has taken this beast to Leh Ladakh so far?

Any stunt guy here??? Need a little help doing wheelie.
At what RPM should I release my clutch to pop up the front of my stock NS at 1st gear from standstil position?
I am guessing, all the NS hav same setup hence same timing for releasing clutch.

Super comfortable for long rides, minus the wind blast above 110 km/h. There are a few guys from the NakedWolves Bengaluru who did a ride to Ladakh about a month back.

bike design has nothing to do with foot on rear brake pedal riding, i had observed ppl doing it on all kind of bikes.

i would like to differ, stiff rear suspension, makes it a bit uncomfortable.

went to mumbai on saturday and while returning, did a maximum of 133 KMPH for a very brief period, with lot of luggage, ( heck, even i myself weigh 90kgs he he)

the handlebar switches are giving problems again. this time right side, the engine -kill switch, little bit of water and engine-kill switch simply refused to bring the bike back to "ON" had to flip it 15-20 times to make it work. this started saturfay evening and is still continue to act strange in between. (now this is real quality issue) anybody else experience same thing.

About 15 days back, I was riding through exceptionally heavy rain. The bath lasted 7 continuous hours so imagine how well the bike must have been soaked. In the end, NIL issues. The switch gear worked fine. Only, the headlamp wiring was a bit exposed so the HID stopped working temporarily, but was fine after drying up. Yours must be a one-off case. My bike is nearly a year old now.
And my suspension is slotted to the 5th slot coz I like to have good feedback from the road. I agree with you on the suspension bit though. If one's touring on NS, the road should be twisty or straight with no undulations at all.
133 with weight equivalent of carrying a pillion is fine.

Don't know about other bikes, but the NS has a design flaw for the rear brake pedal. It's inclination(Negative) is almost ZERO,in fact the pedal inclination is more on the Positive side(i.e towards the upper side).
This is not the position that your foot normally rests in(Compare it with the way your foot rests while your toes are on the Gear shifter, that will make it more clear).

Any ways,I do not have any problem with this.I always ride with my toes on the pegs, and I rarely use my rear brakes, unless I need to stop when I am at a high speed. Most of my braking is done with the front brake only.
                                Braking Ratio= Front:80% Rear:20%
