Re: Pulsar 200 NS
13500. The bike was running perfectly. No cold start issues. Reason why I got it done - There was a lag at 7k rpm and that began getting more and more perceptible as the days passed. So I thought de-carbonisation should solve that. It did solve that. There's no lag now and the bike is a true gem to ride. But the engine behavior below 2k rpm is driving me insane! The idle isn't steady and the rpms take a few seconds atleast to come down to the idle. The posts on team-bhp on de-carbonisation scare me. Can you put my doubts to rest?Originally posted by princesirohi View PostLast edited by Aditya N Bharadwaj; 07-11-2013, 07:31 PM.Sarcasm is my automatic response to stupidity.

what could be the issue here?
i do experience that, but it doesnt loose efficiency, firmness of bite offered by disc brake weakens, but it stops as it used to stop earlier...i mean to say its nothing to worry about

Here is the 200 ns training manual which i had promised to share long back. Sorry the files are in jpg format, if anyone can convert it to pdf it would b nice. Total 114 pages. I guarantee u will love reading it. Quality isn't nice, as scanned from photocopy only and photocopy wasnt done nicely. I hope it helps our community...

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
The carb and cylinder head were opened up, the carbon deposits on the piston were scraped and some spray was used to clean the carburettor slide and diaphragm it seems, and the exhaust pipe and catcon were cleaned too. The bike soars like a rocket now, with peak performance restored but the engine behavior below 2k rpm is like nothing I've seen before. It's highly unstable. Mechanic said, wait for a few days, let the bike run a few hundred kms and then it'll be back to normal. I don't know what to believe.Originally posted by princesirohi View Posti have never done any de-carbonization. some ppl do it some don't. can you describe how you did it, the procedure.

They have seperate service floor for the NS, Duke, Ninja, P220. But i would suggest that go there on a weekday and i think their weekly off is either monday or wednesday, not sure though.Originally posted by A@shIsh View Postyou can go to Deewan Bajaj - Okhla (modi mill flyover)

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
Thanks Bro.. Let me check this time as i got my bike serviced a month ago and what they did is washing of bike, cleaned the filter, and adjusted the chain.. nothing else.. And after driving around 700 - 800 kms my NS is giving out worst. I believe there is some problem with the front disc brake and it feels like if the bike don't want to run and is borrowing power from someone else.Originally posted by A@shIsh View Postyou can go to Deewan Bajaj - Okhla (modi mill flyover)2012 till Now - Pulsar 200 NS
Coming Soon - Royal Enfield Bullet Electra
And so onnnn.......
Last but not the least - Hellcat X132

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
Thanks smrutisourav for the training manual. This will indeed help in doing basic servicing right at home. It also mentions the torque values which are helpful though we need a torque wrench for it.Originally posted by smrutisourav View Posti do experience that, but it doesnt loose efficiency, firmness of bite offered by disc brake weakens, but it stops as it used to stop earlier...i mean to say its nothing to worry about

bad tuning? is the rpm needle stable at idling?Originally posted by Aditya N Bharadwaj View PostThe carb and cylinder head were opened up, the carbon deposits on the piston were scraped and some spray was used to clean the carburettor slide and diaphragm it seems, and the exhaust pipe and catcon were cleaned too. Re: Pulsar 200 NS
No idea. They said they did it. I wasn't present during the process.Originally posted by princesirohi View Posthow they cleaned the catcon and exhaust pipe..??
Edit: Today I went back to the SVC with a firm mind. I stressed on the problem again and finally was able to convince them. They are gonna work on it after it gets cold again and return it to me in tip-top condition in one or two days. Let's see what'd happen. Meanwhile, I have also asked for my air filter to be changed.Last edited by Aditya N Bharadwaj; 07-12-2013, 01:04 PM.Sarcasm is my automatic response to stupidity.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
No. Varies between 1 and 1.5 no matter what. It's not just a tuning issue for sure. Something's messed up with the carburettor. Or maybe there's an air gap somewhere (I sincerely hope not). As soon as the vehicle is stopped, the idle comes to 1.5, starts reducing, comes to 1, jumps between 1 and 1.5 and turns off. Strange!Originally posted by Hari Rajan View Postbad tuning? is the rpm needle stable at idling?Sarcasm is my automatic response to stupidity.
