Thanks for your inputs.Originally posted by surampudijagadeesh View PostMy sprockets are good even at 17000km and tyres should also be good for another 5000km or so. it all depends on style of riding and the roads.
I am using valvoline synthetic blend 20w50 for about 7000km and it is ok for me.
My style of riding is very aggressive.
Quick acceleration, sudden breaking, high speed riding ... etc
I am just enjoying my new bike & its capability.
Edit:----------------------------------------------
I had to compete with a Swift's brake which was in front of me, last week.
It was in heavy raining. We are above 100KM/Hr. One auto rickshaw suddenly U-turned on a straight road.
I had seen medical college & mortuary within that half second of time.
for god-sake, my almost fully wearied out Eurogrip tires hold me from those nightmares ....
Thanks to my "Eurogrip" ....Again ....

It may sound like preaching, but being aggressive in the city poses lots of problems to the rider as well as other road users, and we all know how dangerous some auto-rikshaw drivers are. so, stop racing on streets and ride safe. cheersOriginally posted by spknair View PostThanks for your inputs.

One query,
Why we opted 200NS? by its company's goodwill or comfort or mileage or performance ????
The answer is one&only ____________

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
Apologies if my saying so offended you, but racing a car at 100kmph in rain even on a highway even on an empty stretch wouldn't feel safe for me considering our roads and users, but that's me. I was hit by a car from behind at almost a stand still speed since my brakes were so good and theirs weren't. It was on highway and the car was following me too close, the weather was dry and good visibility and nobody bothered to even stop because they thought i was a goner. such are situations sometimes, so it can't hurt to be careful.Originally posted by spknair View PostIt was on highway.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
Hi guys,
Just finished third service on the bike. I'm looking to get the "angeleye" HID setup done on my 200NS. Does anyone know a good, reliable place in Bangalore who can set up it up for me? Money's not really an issue.
Also, for the people who installed K&N filters on their bikes, any word on long term effects on the bike you guys?
Cheers to a long road ahead, be safe and God bless!!

Bangalore? Look no further than JC road. Look for a 'Tirumala Pitstop' as I've heard it.Originally posted by Roadking_BLR View PostI'm looking to get the "angeleye" HID setup done on my 200NS. Re: Pulsar 200 NS
Had a feeling that would be the place. This is what happens when you have your head buried in your work every day, you don't know where to find stuff in your city!
Many thanks, Aditya. Pictures will be forthcoming once the setup is done, looking for blue LEDs for the pilot lights to go with the bike.
Any info about K&N filters will be very much appreciated!

Actually, I don't think so.Originally posted by surampudijagadeesh View PostApologies if my saying so offended you, but racing a car at 100kmph in rain even on a highway even on an empty stretch wouldn't feel safe for me considering our roads and users, but that's me. I just elaborating my previous post.
I know, even riding bike at 50+ KM/Hr through our roads is not safe
We were not racing.
We can't even imagine that. (race with that FIAT's engine)
100-110 is my normal riding speed, of-course only when the road permit to do so
No one here is replaced your sprockets !!!!!!!!!
I want to know the symptoms.
My teeth are like new. only twice I had adjusted my chain.
But my chain is more noisy than previous even after lubricating
How many people using HIDs here? (without projector)
Any reflector fading issues?Last edited by spknair; 07-29-2013, 12:11 AM.I wish if I am the only rider in roads !!!!!

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
well I am in trouble.. today I took my 200ns to local bike repair shop for cleaning. they had opened the tank but after that everything was fine but once it reached reserve level my bike is not starting at all. pls suggest where they might have gone wrong in reinstalling the tank pipes.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
It's not just lubing that will resolve the noise, the noise actually emanates from dirt, sand and grime lodged in between the chain rollers. Just lubing will temporarily keep them suspended, but as the viscosity of the lube decreases, these particles rub and cause the sound. Best advice would be to kerosene clean both the front and rear sprockets along with the chain, lubricate adjust the slack. You're DONE!!Originally posted by spknair View PostA

There isn't a big deal in tank pipes, they just connect to the petcock and flow thereby. Make sure it's completely clean from water etc, because water contamination is kinda common in the 200NS. Make sure that is checked, and I don't suspect that to be an issue. Perhaps you just over ran the reserve limit. But honestly there is nothing in the P200 NS tank with tubing to be the case. Just top drain the fuel completely in a bottle if you'd like to and top her up and see how it performs, the problem should get resolved.Originally posted by abhishek6590 View Postwell I am in trouble.. today I took my 200ns to local bike repair shop for cleaning. they had opened the tank but after that everything was fine but once it reached reserve level my bike is not starting at all. pls suggest where they might have gone wrong in reinstalling the tank pipes.

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.
THE END

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
The rule of thumb when riding on highway is maintaining an adequate distance between you and the vehicle in front of you so if the driver/rider suddenly brakes, you have adequate reaction time, distance to halt your bike quickly and safely. If you had to do panic braking then most likely you were running really close to the car in front of you (no offense). Every rider feels that riding at 100+ kmph is normal and safe for them till god forbid, luck runs out and you find yourself in a ditch on the side of the road along with the mangled remains of your bike spread out across the road. Not that i would ever wish such a thing to any of the riders here or anywhere.. but more or less your description about your riding style by itself gives you an idea why you got yourself into such an unwanted situation at the first place. AGATT (All Gears At All Time) is a mandatory thing one should invest on especially for high speed runs.Originally posted by spknair View PostThanks for your inputs.

Also learn the art of gear/engine braking along with applying brakes, it helps you in:
* Better stopping power in a shorter distance
* increases the life of the brake pads
* Tire don't lock up or your bike starts fish tailing as the rear tire is still rotating instead of locking up when panic braking.
If i am correct a lot of NS riders are shifting to MRFs which offer better grip. Do you by any chance enjoy burnouts? If that's the case then your tire will lose its grooves in no time mate. Based on the recommended grade from your manufacturer, you can try out the Motul 7100 FS oil.
