Re: Pulsar 200 NS
Engine ICE is top of the line for our NS, make sure you keep stock of it to top-up..Originally posted by sunilyo View PostI wanted to try a different coolant. So can anyone advise on the basics of coolant? What to look for? Which products - the only products i know about is Motul Motocool, Motul Inugel, Engine ice? So which one to choose from?
Motul is available at all showroom..
Our NS comes with Castrol as default...
If any of your friends do have a Duke, refer its user manual on how to change the coolant..
Changing Coolant requires some skills to do it...
There is nothing to look out for in a coolant..
Make sure its Ready to use Coolant. Some requires water to be mixed before using it..

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
Hi Guys,
Today i have given my bike for the 4th service after completing more than 15,000 kms.
The bike has run flawlessly till my third service and have faced some issues which are as follows-
1. The chain has loosened a bit and started making clicking sounds. Took it to the service center last month for tightening the chain but was told that the chain sprocket needs to be changed as tightening will not solve the problem and will lead to more sound. I confirmed this from another service center also who said the said thing. As luck would have it, chain sprockets were in short supply and the service center eventually ended up only cleaning and lubing the chain. Thereafter the bike has been running fine. Have understood the importance of regularly cleaning the chain and keeping it well oiled or else it will slacken up very quickly.
2. The front break has grabbed some dirt and rug sometime back. Seems like the brake shoe has worn out and is making some sound on breaking. Getting the same replaced today.
3. The third service (Free service) was absolutely useless and must say that it was not done properly. Something that i realized later. Since the third service, i have hardly seen the radiator fan running anytime... dont know what has happened. Either it is the cool weather of Bangalore or something has gone wrong with the radiator. Will come to know today.
4. The biggest issue faced till now is the drop in the mileage. When the bike was new, i was getting mileages of 40 kmpl plus. The same has been reducing over last 14-15 months or so and now i am hardly getting around 32-33 kmpl
... i used to praize the bike for this one big advantage and somehow that seems to have gone... Hope to get this fixed...
Will update you guys after i get the bike back today...

As of now availability is very less. Not sure about bangalore. But bangalore should have first because of the biking culture there

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
Got my bike fixed today...
The problem was that the CO lvl was not stable.. it was Raising and decreasing...
He svc incharge told me tat it should be kept at 1.5 or above...
So they tested it and it was around 1.38 and reducing while idle...
They slightly adjusted the AIR screw and now bike is smooth in all RPM range...
Bike feels as good as new
They told me once again to visit to the CO lvl..
Happy with my ride after a long time..
