Looks cool bro. What color is your bike BTW?

Getting angry at somebody is the same as getting angry with a bike that just won't go. You should stop and start thinking.

I dont think the Duke 200 filter will fit the 200 NS simply because they are of different size. 200NS's filter is longer than Duke's. The duke's filter is right under the seat if i am not mistaken whereas the 200ns's filter is under the petrol tank.

Do you have the necessary tools like ring spanner and allen key set?

the service centre guys also clean it with diesel, so it won't be a problem.

Still I feel the brakes an extreme for a n00b to fiddle with. Isn't it?

There is always a beginning mate. Your confidence, urge and patience is all that matters to get started. If you categorize yourself as n00b, please stay away. There is nothing wrong in not knowing to fiddle .

Bought Pulsar 200ns a month ago. 1st service yet to do in 1-2 days.
                      My query is,
Should I install dual horns in it ?? Will it creates any problem on Battery ?

Oh yes sir . I have all the necessary tools to work on the NS. I have some experience with DIY and have been doing basic procedures like engine oil change, chain cleaning, air filter cleaning, headlight vibration, adjusting chain slackness, clutch and throttle adjustments, removing and putting back the chain guard (full plastic assembly) and rear mud guard, battery terminal cleaning etc. on my own.

Please help me with the rear one. I tried to find out any bolts that attach the calipers but it seems like to remove the full caliper assembly i need to remove the rear axle to some extent, don know if i am correct but the design look like it and since i am in doubt did not try it yet.

The front one looks straight forward just like other bikes with the front disc brake assembly.

                          Do it with extreme caution.
Usually I had been changed pads of my previous bike.
Don't engage brake lever while changing pads; the only thing you have to consider
It is quite easy after your first experience.

I am glad you are doing a DIY. It is not only fun but you also understand and get closer to your bike, isn't it?Well, could you post pictures of the rear brakes like the sides and an aerial pic? It would help mate.

Sometimes a strong burning smell comes from the bike. This comes at times only and is very hard to reproduce. Sometimes it comes on a short ride or sometimes after a while. Any clue what it is? When I approached the svc, he said it might be due to water (thanks to rain). But I checked now when no rains are there and it came. I'll be taking it to svc ASAP but has anyone faced this?

Yes DIY is fun. The best part is you can do things at your own pace as compared to the SVC where everybody is in a hurry and does a shoddy job. No one can take of the bike better than the owner himself. This also shows the love for the bike.

I will take some pics today and try and upload them either today or tomorrow.

If your bike is tuned on the leaner side it happens as the engine gets hotter. Also check if the radiator is working properly. Also check for any engine oil or coolant leaks.
