Re: Pulsar 200 NS
AFAIK, the change is required as per the parts replacement chart. Check your service book, I bleakly remember seeing that in the list of parts to be cleaned/replaced during the first paid service.Originally posted by surampudijagadeesh View Postnot everywhere. my mechanic was saying there was no need till 30k.
depends on the laziness quotient of the svc
They need to do whatever is required. Afterall they're charging you for the replacement.

yes, they should be changed, but here the svc mechanics dont do it.Originally posted by CyberKID View PostAFAIK, the change is required as per the parts replacement chart. Actually what happens here is, we take to the svc, one guy writes the job card, the mechanic tells him what to write in it and then, they take the bike in, wash it properly and give back. yesterday, one guy was having an argument with the manager since the mechanic did not change the engine oil, but was charged for it.BreaklessBiker

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
Okay so much for mileage then. Was expecting atleast 40.Originally posted by B7ACKTHORN View Post35 KMPL is not bad either. Uneven riding conditions do take a hit on the mileage part, as cruising for a stretch and then all of a sudden using low gears for a particular stretch does infact alter the mileage characteristics. So I will say yes, this is one of the reason too.

No I don't think oil was replaced. Brake fluid not sure, Okay maybe it is a leak. Will check, thanks.Originally posted by petrolhead_chn View PostDid you change the Engine or brake oil recently? If so check for oil spillage on exhaust. The smell is due to oil burning on hot exhaust.
[[You can reproduce the smell by dripping a drop of engine oil on hot exhaust and check if that is similar.]]

saala bajaj wale kabhi nahi sudhrenge... MC..BC..
bajaj will never learn from its mistakes.
as if that switch problem was not sufficient, since monday, i there is a kirr kirr sound coming from front brake, it increased today, initially i thought there is some mud stuck between pads and disk, so did a water wash with high pressure. but it didn't improve.
upon close inspection i saw that brake pad is completely worn out ... metal to metal...WTF...only 2800 kms on the ODO.
worst thing is brake pads and disks are not covered in warranty.
hell with bajaj....

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
got only 26 mileage on my last fill
before that got 28
riding was normal, shifts before 6k rpm no red lining.
what could be the reason?
i dint lube my chain till now, 2200kms done, is that the reason? cause i feel loss in pick up too.
going to give my bike for wash, is it okay if i go for diesel wash? just worried that paints will fade

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
Was the carb tuned either by you or any mechanic? If yes then it could be possible that it running on the richer side. To confirm this you can check the spark plugs if they are wet and black then the AFR is on the richer side. Also do a CO level check to further confirm this and get it adjusted to 2.0 - 2.5%. clean the spark plugs and air filter also.Originally posted by mutatedknutz View Postgot only 26 mileage on my last fill

try shifting gears between 4.5-5k RPM range
chain should be cleaned every 500km for optimal performance and extend the life of the chain. If the conditions are wet, muddy, dusty then the frequency should be more say every 300km. chain which is not cleaned properly and lubed does bring down the performance a little. Check for chain slackness as well, adjust the clutch.
Loss in pickup could be because of rich AF or worn out clutch but since your ODO is just 2200km the latter can be ruled out.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
Hi Guys
In recent days i experience that bike is not throwing out enough power, at 6th gear 7k RPM, speed is around 104 and it crawls slowly to 110 , it feels like the bike just does not want to go beyond 7k RPM, earlier i was easily achieving around 127 to 130, not i do not even reach 110 with ease!!
Help me guys, what should i be doing and checking?? Should i tune the AFR screw ( i still do not know, clock or anti clock wise is richer!) any suggestions would be really helpful.
Thank for anyone who can help me out with this issue.
Biker for ever!

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
Absolutely not, center stand has great uses and doesn't cause any problems. A factory 220F comes fitted with it, 200NS you need to get it fitted at SVC urself.Originally posted by vaibhav93 View PostCenter stand idea? Is center stand create any problem ..!?
LOL, sahi mein ? oO, Too many stoppies may be ? haha, jk. No really, how come total wear out at just 2800 kms. kahin factory se ghisa hua brake pad laga toh nai tha.. rofl. I'm laughing so hard, not at your misery, but the quality control. Ah hamara Bajaj.Originally posted by princesirohi View Postsaala bajaj wale kabhi nahi sudhrenge... MC..BC..
