Can anyone disclose one necessary fruitful required action ,that can be committed with the stupid bajaj toolkit, other than it rattling under the rear seat.

No , most probably they are all the same . But you can always buy the KTM's tool-kit if the tools are same sizes for your bike . A bike's tool-kit is an essential part of the bike and has a part-number . Some of those tools are custom for the bike and you can't buy those from market . For example my bike's tool-kit has a 10/12 and a 14/17 spanners , just what is needed for the bike . To replace those I'd have to keep 10/11 , 12/13 , 14/15 & 16/17 spanners , i'e four instead of the two in my bike ! Very inconsiderate of Bajaj not to provide a good quality and well thought-out kit .

                  It's called a C-Spanner or a Hook-Wrench . Yes for adjustable shocker . Same type is used for cone-set adjustment nuts .

Small DIY for all those who want to adjust the gear level to their desired setting.

I used a Gear Cross Link Assembly (Tata Ace) Cost = 30/-

Measure the length of the link of the stock gear push rod. The final length of the above gear link needs to be shorter by a few mm to accommodate for the ball socket at both ends.

Cut the push rod to that length.
You either get the cut end threaded (Very difficult to get the lathe guy help you do it) or get it welded in the middle.

The final product will look like this

Now fix it to the levers

The push road can be rotated clock wise to bring the levers closer i.e the foot peg moves up or anticloclkwise to move the levers further apart ie bring the foot peg lower..

                        Advantages
                        Customization
                        Smooth gear shifts

Thanks for your reply. That is one other thing that I like about the NS, the Jekyll and Hyde character. I also like the fact that it has linear delivery and it has juice all through the throttle. There have been occasions when I have been overtaking on bikes or cars and no matter how much I twist the throttle/push the pedal, the vehicle just wouldnt respond.

What is that on your rims?
Try @ same JaiBajaj near medavakkam. Probably afternoon time would be idle for doing TD, to avoid traffic. I checked here first....and did TD
