Laws regarding pollution outside our country are quite strict and hence fi

Svc are proven time and again useless ..
I have seen mechs servicing ninja300 and making fool of customer !
Another example was of low coolant that one friend (owns rc390) reported in first servicing
The mechanic said it ok as long as it doesn't go below min mark !
And work like timely cleaning of injector n all is main for fi as far as i know !

If yes your lucky to find a good mechanic then there's no issue !

I am just saying not wanting to start a war though !

Go for the K&N BA-2012 factory replacement air filter. Won't void your warranty either.

A factory replacement air filter is the same as the stock in terms of construction, because of which you don't need to alter the carb or Airbox. Since you don't meddle with the engine it doesn't void your warranty

But As per my information these after-market filter makes engine life a bit less because they are not suitable for Indian road.[emoji26]

That stands true for the cone filters everyone blindly puts on their carb after removing the air box. That is harmful. Very harmful for the engine since it is exposed and allows larger particles of dust to get into the engine, hence reducing the life span and increasing your trips to the SVC. Not to forget voiding the warranty as well.

However, a factory replacement filter sits in the Airbox and can actually filter better than the stock is cleaned, oiled and maintained properly.

Advantages being: More grunt form the engine, with slight increase in hp and acceleration.

                    First Impressions..........

Received my Pulsar 200NS on Monday. Some prologue,
                    • Booked 200NS through GSM Bajaj, Gurgaon. On the day of delivery, person crashed the vehicle while bringing from showroom. Showroom guy was nice enough to cancel the booking and agreed to return deposit since I was adment on having black color and they have none.
                    • Then I contacted Krishna Bajaj, another Bajaj dealer in city and they informed me that one truck is unloading on monday. Went there in the evening and they had a black 200NS ready for me. Paid in cash and all paperwork done in half an hour.
                    • Received bike had 0 km on Odo and the manufacturing date was in March 2015. Checked the preliminary things and looked ok except did not see engine oil level. Mechanic then made the pulsar stand straight and then could some oil level, just above min mark.
                    • Bike came with MRF RevZs in front and back.
                    • Dealer gave a free helmet but did not have center stand in stock.
                    • Paid 102936 INR for bike, RC and 1 year insurance. Insured amount is ~87000 INR. Dealer said that the price goes down by 5% as soon as vehicle comes on road. Weird.

Completed just 60 km on ODO. Now first impressions,

Lets get out bad impressions first,
                    • Thank god I am 5"10'. But my father had difficult time getting on the pillion seat. Mostly I will drive alone so it doesn't really matter.
                    • It is difficult to drive 200NS in crawling speed. Specially in run in period.
                    • It is short geared and gear itself are not as smooth (specially upshifting 3 and 4) as expected. Hopefully this will sort out in first servicing.
                    • Need seat cushion and hand grip as soon as possible.
                    • Turning radius higher than expected.

I in run in period so will reserve some good impressions for later date. First few,
                    • Though its old model, I still love the looks. I actually dont care about looks etc but I have to make exception for 200NS.
                    • I am pretty positive that ride quality will be excellent after getting seat cushion and handgrip. Even now its very good.
                    • Handling is very good.
                    • Braking does give confidence. My reference is 2010 yamaha FZ.
                    • Linear power delivery

Run in points that I am following:
                    • Wait for 1 min after starting the vehicle for engine warmup and lubrication.
                    • I am trying to keep the RPM below 4000 before 500 km (5000 for km 500-1000). usually vary RPM between 2500 to 3500. I am not watching the speed much. But once RPM crosses 3000, change gear. Its simpler than remembering the Bajaj speed chart.
                    • Stopping bike every 15-20 km for cooloff. Driving on city roads.
                    • Planning to do first oil and oil filter change at 200 km.
                    • Noticeable vibrations at speed 30-40 km/hr. More pronounced at foot pegs.

Planning to visit Korol Bagh this weekend to look for,
                    • Helmet: Studds scorpion or Vega Axor. Can spend up to 4000 but so many fake's are circulating for LS2 etc so feels like settling on indian brand.
                    • Seat Cushion and hand grip
                    • Some Tyre stickers

Short clutch?? Can you explain in detail?? And send some pics too

Congrats on buying NS and wishing you a good luck, Please drive safe by considering yourself, your family and the flowing traffic as well.

                            1. Run-in Period if a must, try not to go beyond 5K RPM before running down atleast 1000KMs. I know it is a pain, but you should. Don't jump over
                            2. Can't believe, how come do you feel turn radius is higher?, Taking a U turn at lower speeds or when pushing from parking is really awkward. I mean, atleast i have to roll back and forth thrice to turn it 180 deg in a narrow street compared to my old Discover or other bikes like unicorn
                            3. Avoid potholes

BTW, if you are not that fan of naked types, why didn't you try for RS200, which is about to launch in few minutes?.

                            Best Wishes.

Today went to MG road Khivraj motors.

They told they will fix my tappet issue and vibration above 4000 rpm issues.

After that i asked about my tyre matter. They told tyres doesnt have warranty unless there is a manufacturing defect lik air bleeding, etc.

He saw 7 puncture marks and told why did u do patch work on tyre if its not puncture then i told i noticed air leak in many places. need to return back to house so patched.

then he told you have replace the tyre it will cost 3000-3500 rs. Then i told its not even 2 months bike and didnt crosss 1000km also.

Then he told come saturday, we will open the tyre and see, if we found any other defect also in the tyre apart from the 7 puncture, they can replace the tyre and give.

Otherwise big no and i have to change my tyres.

Also i noticed when i leave the handlebar above 50kmpl bike is going towards left and feel like bike is going to fall.

Not sure its due to tyre problem or front suspension problem
