    Let me tell you,
    Your beast looks amazing

Good to hear that your bike hasn't given any problems so far.

I expected the same from my bike as well

Thank you so much for acknowledging the issue in regards to my bike

    1. Not filling up the tank.
I never take my bike to reserve, as soon as it reaches reserve I make it tank full and I always ride tank full to reserve and tank full. Never have I taken it to empty.

    2. Carb issues
Got the carb changed as well
Cleaned the fuel lines so that if any dust has been collected can be removed

    3. Clutch plates.
Never I ride my bike half clutch, I use clutch only during gear changes, or when about to stop , I turn the bike off in traffic.
Having the doubt in clutch plates, changed them as well

As per your suggestion I wanted to take to to a local mechanic but unfortunately the people here don't deal with it and I am afraid of loosing my bike's warranty as well

And brother I have got many of my friends and other folks who purchased NS 200 2017 version facing the same issue with the same sequence.

Something which I feel Bajaj themselves have to acknowledge

And dude I m really tired making rounds to SVCs past 10 months. I am really done with this hence have written it to ASO of Bangalore region and waiting for their response
I am bought a PNS200 6 months ago ....I have done 6800 kms on ODO now I bought it from popular Bajaj ( Bajaj headquarters) Bannerghatta road opposite to Sagar hospital .
I had the misfiring issues when ever the radiator switched on but it was resolved in the second service . Many minor parts failed like tail bulbs , headlamp etc nothing major . My only major complaint was mileage I was getting 20 - 25 KMPL . I travelled to them many times but issue wasn't resolved so I threatened them with consumer court case and they agreed to check and took my bike for service after 2 days they called me to check the mileage myself and I got a mileage of 4 kms per 100 ml ( 40 KMPL) . More than happy with the bike now no issues at all all resolved .
You could try taking it to popular Bajaj Bannerghatta ,they are lazy but if you become serious they'll do the work

Coming to top speed i did 137 KMPH at 6000 rpm on 6th gear with a pillion but it can easily do more , I was too scared to go any faster without ABS [emoji14] but the bike touches 120 very very easily

PS - my advice , bear the bike till free services are done , get it serviced early ( all 3 services) then find a mechanic outside and it'll be the bike of your dreams !

Also if you have a trusted mechanic outside give it to him for checking . Bajaj won't know jackshit if you get your bike repaired outside from a good mechanic ( trusted good mechanic emphasized) .

Very sad to hear bro that issues are not resolved till now. I own as200 , 20000 kms in odo i was too having this pickup problem and all of the sudden power issue. i mailed many times bajaj but fortunately when i was there at svc for 4th service the svc engineer was present there and he checked my bike and he told me 2 things1st. Either its cdi heating issue
2nd. Its dirty or defective carburetor
They checked the bike after riding 20 to 30 kms but cdi was heated but not too much they checked the carb it was also clean but the sliding was scratchy so they changed them under warranty but issue was still there at last they checked the engine completely
After a week they told me that they have to change piston block assembly ,crankshaft and valves (in warranty) but I don't know why they said that these were creating issues in your bike. After completing run-in period for again 2000 kms i rode my bike at it's full power and trust me bro the issue were gone (power issue). But i am still getting lagging throttle issue but I think it's due to wrong tuning of the carb.
      Thanks.

In weird kind of way, it is actually a relief to see that other people are reporting the same issue as me. I have a Oct 2013 mfg NS200, and I have clocked around 31000 km on it so far.

I have been facing the 'dead zone' between RPM 5500-7000 where the bike just refuses to budge, particularly in the higher gears. No matter how hard I revv or drop gears, the zone is flat. This is not only annoying, but also scary since 95% of my usage is on the highway, both within Mumbai and on Pune trips. I have repeatedly complained about this to the A.S.S., both Executive Bajaj and Sai Service, but they refuse to accept that there is a problem. Whatever test drives they take are in their tiny compounds, at speeds under 30kmph; so it is impossible to demonstrate it to them. I started using Motul 5100 engine oil after 10k kms, and been using that ever since. I change the oil on my own regularly between 6-8k kms. So far, have replaced the clutch plate and clutch cable, replaced the air filter regularly, and fill fuel only at trusted petrol bunks. I haven't been able to cross 125kmph in my 4 years of ownership, despite regularly using it for 55km per weekday, and 200km+ long rides at least once a month.

I would really appreciate if anyone could shed some light on this issue and recommend a trusted 200NS mechanic in the suburbs of Bombay, who could help me look into this. I stay at Goregaon East.

Not got anything to help you here, but 5100 lasting 6-8k Kms? Wow. You must really hate your bike.

                  I use 7100 20w50 and I change my oil every 3000-3500 Kms.

Oil is cheaper than engine. 😁

Considering that it it says 10K km between oil changes, I thought 6k should be a safe enough interval. I don't mind changing it even earlier: I agree that oil is cheaper than the engine
Anyway, that isn't the problem at the moment, but the lack of acceleration and in the mid-range. Also, no matter what, I can't push it beyond 125kmph and even at that speed the vibrations are extreme

It also says 10k on the Bajaj "Genuine" oil that becomes sludge in 1500 Kms

I would recommend 20w50 7100 once. Try and see if it makes a difference. And you can also get your clutch plates checked while you drain the oil. Also AFR ratio should be around 1.75 - 2.2. the svc have a machine to check this.

Will try the 7100 next time. The clutch plates were changed just 3k km ago, and it made no difference at all. If anything, the problem probably got a little worse. The AFR ratio was also fine; I actually stand next to the mechanic as he adjusts it,and the last time I took it back to the SVC since I sensed it was off immediately after the service. But this is one thing that I have noticed constantly seems to fluctuate every couple of hundred km.

I've been fortunate to have got a bike without any niggles. 50200 Kms now, no issues.
Been using 7100 for the last 40k Kms

Add-on, but one separately from yamaha dealer and fit that on your bike

3k is a bit too less. 7100 can easily last you more than 5k. People claim that it lasts upto 7k. I change at every 5k.

                                That's nice buddy.

As I said, for me, engine oil is cheaper than engine.

50k Kms without any issues. Mileage still over 36-38 with a 140 section tyre. Top speed of 155. Gear shifts smooth as butter. Better than the new NS I've rode.

I'd like to keep it that way.

P.s. This is what the inside looks like when I changed the clutch plates.

I don't go by what the people claim. I go by how my bike behaves. If the engine starts getting rough or making noise, or gear shifts harder, I change the oil.
