Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
I'm curious as to who told you that? Was it a biker?Originally posted by Vishnujithr View PostOk....i heard that normal oils tends to damage the o-ring when they get hot
Because some of us xbhp guys use gear oil all the time; I use it for 44000+ kms on my CBR 250. The lube lasts even after 600+ kms ride, all I do is smear a little oil on a clean cloth and rub the chain clean with it. The key to gear oil lubing is this : keep it lightly oiled and clean. Dust, rust and grime will kill the chain swiftly.

Same. Just been on a Meghalaya road trip. 3000 Kms in total over 10 days. Carried gear oil, needed it every 700-800 Kms as roads were clean for most part.Originally posted by leech View PostI'm curious as to who told you that? Was it a biker?

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Ok, guys. Long time no see.
Finally, we have managed to produce our video - complete Pulsar 200NS engine teardown to check the quality and replace parts. 30.000 total mileage. Watch and enjoy. Especially for foreign visitors - our video has English closed captions, don't forget to turn it on.
If you have any question - please, ask. Bike is mine and the most of the mileage is done by me for the last 1,5 seasons (from April to October in or country)

very true dont use wd 40Originally posted by MarkNS View PostUse WD40 if you want to change your chain soon. 👍👍
Ideally, just clean it with a little kerosene and then apply gear oil.
I use Castrol EP 90 for the same.
Sent from my Redmi Note 3 using xBhp Connect mobile app
it somtimes get into the engine via the front sprocket of the chain

Thanks for the video. Glad to know that engine is well put together and easy to replace even in the field itself. Rocker arm, cam shaft and timing chain gone, so typical of NS engine.Originally posted by Datos View PostOk, guys. Long time no see.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Cam shaft survived. Only timing chain and rocker arms were in a bad state. Yep, seems that this is regular. It might survive a little longer if it was treated right the first 6.000 but I don't think that much longer.Originally posted by Saravanan Murdlock View PostThanks for the video. Mileage issues with my new pulsar NS200 2017 non ABS edition
Guys I bought a pulsar ns200 2017 edition (non-ABS ) 6 months ago and since the time I bought the bike I have had continuous issues .
At 700 kms the reserve tap stopped working and the head light stopped working and there was air filter blockage
At 3000kms the rear number plate light failed , the engine had misfiring problem after the radiator switched on , the mileage was 13 KMPL
At 5000 kms the misfiring issues was sorted and the reserve tap was replaced under warranty and the mileage was 15-16 KMPL.
With my limited knowledge of bike I suggested them to check the air filter for the mileage but they adamantly refused saying it'll run for 20000kms without any need for change .
I did the purchasing and servicing everything at popular Bajaj Bannerghatta road branch ,head office .
Last week I took my bike to auto assembly ( different branch of Bajaj) and they told me the air filter was clogged and needs to be changed . They changed and now I am getting 25 KMPL ( reserve to reserve )
is 25KMPL the max mileage I'll get out of this bike ?( Reserve to reserve check) or should I try a different method of checking for mileage ?
What are the different ways to check for mileage?

After market ABS
I checked all the threads for any information about after market ABS but couldn't find one so starting this thread .
I booked an NS200 pulsar and 2 months later they released ABS version and I was super sad . With that I wanna know is there any after market ABS that can be installed in an Non ABS bike .
I can find many many videos ranging from 1500 fix for ABS to 20k for an full electronic ABS system .
There is some mechanical ABS and some TCB / TBC system that controls the oil flow into the break . Lot of jugaad and ways to get ABS , exactly how safe are these ? And are they reliable ?
Last should I get an ABS system or is it ok if I drive my bike on a long tour without ABS ?
Example of a video I found - https://youtu.be/iA_N9BrRGwE

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Guys i have ordered a mobile holder with charger. So i want to connect it such a way that it turns on only if the ignition is on. So after some trial by connecting a bulb to different points i found out that connecting +ve to that white connector and -ve to any metal part the bulb turns on only if the ignition is on. So is it okay to connect like that?
