    Anyone faced this problem?
My bike engine is getting suddenly shut off during decelerating & sudden blast sound comes from exhaust. In 2 stroke engine this denotes faulty spark plug . I dont know about 4 Stroke engines .
Bike is 19k old with air filer cap removed to get bassy sound.

Anyone faced this kind of problem.

      Guys just a query:-

What are the symptoms of slipping of clutch?

Bike struggling to achieve top speed, and poor to no performance in mid range RPM especially loaded bike and the motorcycle requiring more than the desired RPM to reach a certain set of speed (i.e. engine revving faster but with no significant increase in speed)

        Cheers!

When you de accelerating the fuel mixture gone to too lean.. It also produce pop up sound on downhill.

Carburetted and FI engines make a very slight pop when decelerating as the engine runs lean. But in an FI it can be perfectly programmed to map the correct AFR to almost reduce the decel pop by 100%. A slight one to two pops are normal, but if you feel the rear firing and more than three to four blasts popping from the exhaust it's clear that your AFR is more on the leaner side.

            Cheers!

Another issue in my NS, Chain is making huge noise while riding. chain is tight from some places and loose from others, sounds weird as i lube the chain every 15 days.
so removed the front sprocket cover and teeth are all messed up as in below picture(pic from Internet) Click image for larger version

now i am not sure what could have caused this, seem like pathethic bajaj quality. In a year Everything on bike is falling apart in just 14k kms.

next time bajaj comes up with a 5 spark plug, 400cc Liquid cooled Engine with average of 70km/litre priced at 1.5 lakh i will for sure stay away from it.
now off to deal with stupid ASS who cannot do anything beside changing engine oil.
              200NS 25K kms / RE500 7k kms / Electra 30k kms / P150 80K Kms(SOLD) / i10 40k Kms (SOLD) / Tata NEXON 2K Kms

What about your rear sprocket teeth? From what you say, I think you have an eccentric front sprocket. Manufacturing defect :banghead:

After tightening chain + lubing and still noisy then it's time to get new sprocket set. I had to change the front in 8K and whole in 14k (cuz of loose chain) this time with my 2nd sprocket set i'm already 16K and its about to change the front sprocket as it look the same as u mentioned. Seems like the factory fit sprocket doesnt last observing some of my friends bike too.

it seem quite ok, also wear on front sprocket isnt as extreme as displayed in pic. i also beleive it is a manufacturing defect but i know chain and rubber parts wount have any warranty. so will get it changed anyways.

i did lubed the chain again today, the chain sounded much smoother but as i know the Front sprocket is in bad shape, it need to go. i beleive this can be reason bike struggles beyond speed of 125

                    Two Question:-

                    1) do bajaj sell spares over the counter? dont want to get chain set changed from Bajaj ASS.

2)another issue now i noted was of weird idling. if i put bike on main stand and put in gear , the chain movement isnt smooth. it feels after few rotations bike does a little jerk kind of movement. is it due to some issue in Tuning/carb setting of bike?

Yes you can get front sprocket from service station and the jerk from chain is normal in all bike.

Do anyone has experience on Dunlop Alpha 13 tyre? I'm planning to change my rear. Also review about Ceat Zoom XL that i'm using has already done 22K and still Grip is enough for another 10K. Totally surprised that it lasted and provide better feedback than euro slip. Decent tyre with decent price.

And if this disconnection of battery stuff is done, how often does it requires that the process be redone? Like does it solve the problem for sometime or does it requires to be done frequently as the clock again starts to slow down?
You can give it a try. I have not as bothered much except when my bike was new.... Nowadays i don't look into that very often. If that doesn't solve, there is nothing you can really do other than replace the console... And I'm sure that you cannot claim any warranty for this, given the Bajaj service guys hospitality....

If you are so curious and in need of this, get a digital watch, remove the strap and stick it in dashboard... My friend has done it easily on his Unicorn...

Recently bought a 200NS, although second hand but its condition is very good.
Want to know how much a regular service costs at SVC and is it better to get serviced only at SVC?
The liquid used for the liquid engine cooling system is actually what? I mean can I buy it from some store for self refilling as I know company will charge approx double

Congrats. Finding a good svc is a challenge... I usually get around ~800 without oil change... Bajaj oil is cheaper, while other oils are costlier. Based on kms and years, find the corresponding services and spare replacement from user manual.... Approach Bajaj svc and give a try once. They will also provide an estimate of your bill. With ASS you will get the spares quicker and cheaper... Compared to local workshop..

Motul inugel is used for coolant and you can use the same. Big ASS {main dealer} will not charge you extra for these, but they will care least as they have to clear more free services per day.... Where as small svc {distributor} may charge you little extra but do care well mostly...

                                Hello NSians!!
My NS is 1.5yrs old and have clocked 14000kms, recently i have been experiencing a lot of skidding and bad cornering even on dry road and have planned to change the rear tyre immediately. I have narrowed down to Pirelli and Michelin of the same section 130/70. Could any one suggest which is the best regarding grip? And also i would like to know the availability of both in Coimbatore,TN.
