Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Hello all. My ns 200 sways towards the left a bit. Its a 2012 model. After searching online for the solution,i somewhere read that its a cone set problem, hence got a new cone set 4 days ago. The problem still exists and it hurts my left hand as its constantly pushing towards my left. Please help.
Edit:- Would like to add some info
Got the bike a month ago, its a used 2012 model with 19k on odo. I took it to ASC and they said change cone set, after changing the set when the problem was still there, they said "nothing can be done now", just learn to adjust with it. So ASC is no help. I desperately want this leaning problem fixed.Last edited by HybridSniffer; 03-31-2019, 06:18 PM.

Looks like a front wheel alignment issue faced by many bikes. Take it to a well known mechanic, he can do it easily. To identify the issue follow steps below:Originally posted by HybridSniffer View PostHello all. My ns 200 sways towards the left a bit. Its a 2012 model. 1. Park your bike on center stand and face the headlight to the front
2. Look at the tyre and the headlight from the front. The central groove on the tyre should help you.
3. Since you said the bike steers left, the tyre's central grove should not be in alignment with the headlight i.e. the tyre should be turned a little.
ASC usually use digital imaging to align front wheel and it is very costly. I recommend going to local well-known mechanic.Bajaj Pulsar NS 200 (2016 - 2017)

Re: Pulsar 200NS engine overheat symbol flashing continuously
I had the same problem and i fixed it by doing a complete coolant flush followed by 3 bottles of distilled water of 1L each. Then refilling fresh new coolant of higher quality. Hardly took me 30 mins and now my problem is 100% fixed. Now my rad. fan doesn't kick in unless am ripping the bike with a pillion at afternoon. There are a lot of videos on youtube about how to do a complete coolant flush in NS 200 to help you out. Its worth it.Originally posted by xaypatil View PostEven I own the same model, in Pune traffic, radiator fan kicks in 4-5 kms is normal. Duke heats much more than NS.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Getting a new set of tyres. I read reviews for mrf so thought of going for front: Zapper FX 1 TL and rear: Zapper Q TL. Just wanted to know whether is this combo good for moderate drive under generally dry terrain(Mostly used in Gujarat).
Thanks in advance!SOMETIMES,

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Hi friends, i've just sold off my pulsar 200ns 2015 model after clocking 95k kms. I think i am eligible enough now to comment on its pros and cons. I've now purchased a rtr2004v ABS and i'll comment about it too in the end of this post.
Pros
1. In engine, vibrations are there, a lot. But that's its characteristic as its a rev happy engine and i have ran it at 120kmph on Agra Yamuna expressway for 2hrs continuosly. No signs of engine overheating ever.
2. Best in segment Engine Power
2. Build quality of 200ns is way better than rtr2004v. I don't know what's wrong with the reviews on youtube, which says rtr200 better than 200ns. Pulsar 200ns is more robust, for example, its tyre hugger is build over a solid metal bracket, which, in my case, sustained impact of two cars in a single accident from the rear. Bike didn't suffered any damage at all.
3. Very beautiful instrument cluster backlit illumination
4. Long life - myself covered 95,000 km without piston-ring change, without clutch plate change, just 1 chainset change (@55k km), 1 time CDI change, without magnet change , just 1 radiator fan change. Even the clutch and brake levers didn't loose paint in 4years and 95k kms.
5. Completed a leh-ladakh trip, ofcourse after a specialized service in leh itself.
6. Due to plain design, the bike is easy to clean everyday.
7. On curves, 200NS is very planted due to stiffer suspension
Cons
1. Not for DIY people. Service and repairing is very complicated. Road-side mechanics can not repair it. e.g. Air filter and main spark plug are placed below fuel tank, which is absolutly idiotic. You need to unmount the whole fuel tank to access the spark plug or air filter or to set tappet. That's the sole reason i didn't bought Dominar, after selling the 200NS.
2. CDI is not reliable, in my case. On the highway, when radiator fan went kaput, my bike lost ignition current on the highway due to fault in CDI caused by the fan. It may be a one-off case but still worth mentioning.
3. High seat height. Not for short riders. I am 5'9"
4. Absolutely no place to add accessories like extra horn, aux lights, mobile charger, switches. I somehow managed to add all these but that was a very tight fit.
5. Weak headlight
6. Gear lever needs to be changed every 10k-15K kms, in my case. This is a design defect which gradually reduces the grip to move the gear shaft and it is a serious issue.
7. Hard seat cushioning. I had to add a 2inch foam sheet to the rider seat.
8. Rattles for the first 20k kms and rear brake sqeaky sound after every rear brake-pad change
How's it compared to Apache rtr2004v: Overall, i strongly feel that after selecting rtr2004v over 200NS, i've actually downgraded. The rtr200 is not durable as its flimsy parts suggests. The slipper clutch lever is light by 15%-20%, if compared to 200NS. Yes, rtr200 dual channel ABS comes as a saviour and Soft suspension in rtr200 gives better side quality by about 5%-10%. Fuel economy is also similar.
If you are over 5.6, and intends to ride it in a city (due to avaliability of good mechanics) then choose 200NS otherwise look at other options. Happy Riding.

I would add a con that it sways on highways, when heavy vehicles pass by.SOMETIMES,

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
I have only ridden NS200 till now. Initially when I faced this problem, I came back to this thread for the same. That time, I read a lot of reviews stating they were experiencing it more than other bikes that they have owned. So I formed this idea from that. Maybe I am wrong about this.Originally posted by ALI.R View PostThat applies to almost every bike in the segment.SOMETIMES,
