Even i bought a 3M carb cleaner but heard that you shouldnt mess with the carb unless you have to, so have it lying unused too.
Showroom people areent ready to clean the air filter. Even when i asked them to replace it, they said the filter is alright and replacement is not needed.
How do you get it cleaned then?
HI, yes i got the wire changed from regular mechanic. no i never did any lubrication as i never thought it needs to be done. i did that for once my enfield because wire for it break easily. never thought pulsar wire will break .

dont mess with carb is a advice i have read over and over on these forum.

for Air filter i did it myself twice, showroom people are lazy and accessing the filter is too much time consuming.

i bought a allen keyset and one 10/12 number chabbi and opened the whole bike and cleaned the filter myself. it was barely dirty but for mental satification i did it anyways.

get it cleaned from a mechanic outside if Showroom people are not aggreing to do it, no use wasting time talking to them.

i replied to your Pm, let me know if you received it.

      Heyy Guys,

I have Pulsar 200 NS 2017 Model BS4. It wont go beyond ~6000 rpm in any gear. SVC checked Carb and Clutch plates, both are fine. Even cleaned tank. Still the issue is there.
      Any idea?

I found few other people also facing these kind of issues in 2017 model.
      Please help.

      Thanks.

I remember someone mentioning on this thread that it was due to a damaged carb slide/CDI/diaphragm.

Hey guys need a little help. Suddenly today my horn has stopped working out of no where. It doesn't make any sound in pressing the button. How do i check what's the reason? And if I have to replace it how much does it cost?

In pulsar NS the horn is really low on right side....due to this it is prone to water, mud, grease etc and so are the wires connected to it.

My suggestion would be check if the wire joints are corroded and make sure they are connected securely and conducting current. Try cleaning the wire pins with petrol(make sure to turn off the bike) and see if it works.

If this doesn't work, Disconnect the wires, turn on your bike, make someone press the honk button and with a multimeter check if the current is being provided or not...if there is current then the horn is faulty, If not then there might be some internal issue.

If you want to replace it..it will cost around 300 rupees from OEM.

I have a set of Pirelli Diablo Rosso 2s for my NS. I got them online from a seller who had good ratings.

When you purchase, check where the tires are made. Mine are made in India. The profile is the same as the international version. It also handles well. However, i think that the made in India ones are made out of hard compound. I have ridden about 15,000kms and the wear is very little. The grip however seems to be getting worse by the day. It has become a hard piece of rubber than the soft sticky tires I thought they would be. I have heard that the tires made in Indonesia have soft and medium compound.

                    ----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

Has anyone taken any steps to make their NS more comfortable for the rider and pillion?

Of late (maybe I am getting old ), I get back pain when I ride the NS for more than 50-60 kms. My wrists and shoulders also ache. My pillion rider also complains of back ache.

Our last few bike trips have been painful to the body. While I am really happy with everything else about the bike, it is getting uncomfortable to use by the day.

My radiator was not consuming any coolant. The fan comes up after 8 to 9kms of ride and engine overheat symbol used to flash continuously. I got my radiator thermostat changed yesterday and issue is resolved now.

For the wind-blast, you can use any after-market visor. It will reduce the rate of wind flowing towards you, thus reducing fatigue. ex - I think old model Fazer's visor is a good fit as a friend already uses one on his NS200.

For sitting comfort, you can use after-market gel/foam/air based seats for the rider and the pillion. ex - Ride-On-Air [ https://rideonair.in/ ] , Fego Float [ http://www.fegoinnovations.com/ ] OR you can get a layer of additional cushioning done on your current stock seats.

For wrist pain, you can add a layer of foam padding or after-market grips on your handle grips. For shoulder pain, i don't think there's anything that can be done other than riding with correct posture and stretching often.

                        Hope these help!

Rubber inside the rear pillion foot rest is gone. I got the rubber from a Bajaj service center but I am not sure how to remove the foot rest. Did anyone do this DIY ? TIA

Is it worth upgrading to NS 200 from Pulsar 180 ? Its my dad's 180 and I feel its performance is lacking as it doesn't have enough top end grunt.
I travel on the highway on the weekends and pulsar 180 doesn't have the power to do highway speeds.
                            Its does in 5th gear
                            70kmph @ 6000rpm
                            85kmph @ 7000rpm
95kmph @ 8000rpm and by 100kmph it hits a wall and doesn't have power to pull ahead.I have done a top speed of 115kmph going down a flyover.
I heard from a friend that the NS 200 does a 100 kmph at 6000rpm @ 6th gear and can reach speeds of up to 140kmph. Is it true ?
Is the NS 200 convincingly more powerful than pulsar 180 or is it only a minor upgrade in performance ?
so sorry for the late reply bro...hope you bought a ns 200 its wonderful decently powered machine....does on 6 th gear 4200 rpm 60kmph 4900 rpm 70kmph it does 80kmph 5500rpm and 100kmph on 6800rpm and reaches 115kmph just about 7000rmp...has a very good top end...and can easily pull in top gear from 4000 rpm all the way upto redline...thanks and if you got the wolf please let me know how it is performing...

The rear pillion footrest is made of metal alloy, no? Which rubber are you referring to?

These is a rubber part near the joint. That has worn out. I replaced it yesterday.
