Re: Pulsar 200 NS
Yupz.So can anyone confirm that NS has a revv limiter or its just the engine maxes out around 10500Originally posted by Bibhu View PostThe slow jet only pertains to idling and about 1/4th throttle. After that the fuel flows through the bleed circuit which is also known as the needle jet. Needle jet is fed through the main jet. Bleed circuit handles most of the throttle operation up to 3/4 th throttle. After 3/4th throttle when the needle lifts fully the fuel flows directly through the main jet to the venturi.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
NS has rev limiter .. try revving and experience the rev limiter cut off . Fuel reserve light turns on/blink when nearing the cut off. Better experience it yourself.Originally posted by abhiwltya View PostYupz. So can anyone confirm that NS has a revv limiter or its just the engine maxes out around 10500

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
NS is different from p220 in many things test driven my cusion brothers NS many times in the city it is very flickable & excellent but when it comes to the highways at topspeeds it doesnt plant well on the road like a p220.Originally posted by deep007 View Postcan our 200ns beat pulsar 220 on highway ....maximum speed on stock setting ...because company claiming 136kmph speed for ns and 144kmph speed for pulsar 220PULSAR 180 DTSI- 2007

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
What would be the longterm effects of repeated stoppies on my bike ? getting the rear wheel far up just for the lulz, practicing to get better. I know brake pads will wear but that is easy and cheap to replace. other than that ? no harm to the chasis right, due to the impact when your rear wheel lands. and the engine also.. just abit worried. Though I believe the Pulsars are extremely durable no matter what anyone would say.
also is it easier to get the front wheel up in other pulsars, like 220. I can't do a wheelie and im dying to do it !!

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
There is much more than top speeds. If the conditions are windy or you are with string headwinds then dont think of gunning behind a 220 which is not a great idea because it will make the ns eat dust... but but but when conditions are not windy, in a good weather the 220 cant match up to the ns top end. Its much more.... bottomline is the ns needs a fairing badly.... amd btw anything about 140 kmph is done with an extra insurance. So make sure you have oneOriginally posted by deep007 View Postcan our 200ns beat pulsar 220 on highway ....maximum speed on stock setting ...because company claiming 136kmph speed for ns and 144kmph speed for pulsar 220
its limited at 10800 rpm. If the limiter is removed, the engine can revv much more... just like the duke, the power is suddenly cut off.Originally posted by abhiwltya View PostYupz. So can anyone confirm that NS has a revv limiter or its just the engine maxes out around 10500
Well the effect will be exactly what i am facing.... a busted front and rear suspensionOriginally posted by broken87 View PostWhat would be the longterm effects of repeated stoppies on my bike ? getting the rear wheel far up just for the lulz, practicing to get better. and regading wheelie well the fact is its easy to pull wheelies in ns but its easier in 220. The main difference is you launch at a much lower rpm in 220 and that just allows you to pop up the front easily and then it comes down quite fast.... what happens in ns is you have to launch at a high rpm and when you dump the clutch, the rear kinda spins along with the wheelie and it does not come down that fast... it gets carried away a bit more....and what makes it more tricky along with fun is the engine revs up so fast that it sometimes redlines with te front still up and you gotto shift on the air :-P its awesome :-P and thats how i burnt my clutchplate

Will Be grateful for any help!!!
I dont know whether anyone remembers me but i was one of the first owners of the 200 NS [ I call my bike 'The Phoenix'
] I used to be a regular on Xbhp forums until i started my final year MBBS and i didnt have much time since then..
I have few doubts which i have to clarify urgently. I hope all the kind people on this forum help me as soon as possible
Now about my bike, She is 1 year and 3 months old but i rode only about 4000 Kms. I maintained her as well as i could but unfortunately my area service centre is horrible (And its the only service centre in my vicinity) I got a call from them for the first time in almost an year saying that there is a discount on service for dussehra. So i need to ask all of your suggestions as to what should be done in this service. The Issues:1. Body vibrations especially when nearing 4000-5000 rpm ( They have been bothering me for almost an year, but the service centre never could rectify it. They always said the parts werent available )2. Engine oil indicator pops up at odd intervals eventhough i have enough oil. 3. The smoothness in my bike which was present in the first month never returned. All i get from the service centre is "It will get better as time goes on" I have been riding for quite long and i find no improvement4. Down shifting is rarely smooth. It always makes a loud sound even after oiling at service. And sometimes it refuses to even shift unless i press harder.P.SI dont know much about engines and carburettors etc as i am a medical student
So I want to be well educated this time when i approach the service guys. Thats only possible with your help
What should i do for the above mentioned issues? And are there any improvements Bajaj has done for all owners free of cost which i was left out of? I have to give her for service tomorrow, So i will be really really grateful if anyone helps me
Thanks in advance

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
not me atleast. I've used my front brakes alot and even begun to do stoppies lately, im at 7000+ Kms and recently got my bike serviced. The job card maker said both front and rear brake pads are fine, and I find it's bite to still be terrific.Originally posted by princesirohi View PostChanged my front disk pad second time at 8000 kms..... Btw, why do I feel the bike vibrates more on higher RPMs on Motul 5100 than it did on Bajaj Oil ? Motul definitely makes gear shifting super smooth, yet something doesn't seem right.
oh lol i see, then I look forward to burning up my clutchplates soon xD.. about stoppies.. can't resist them cos it's so ez now. Just transfer your weight to front wheel and done.Originally posted by Rahulbarik View PostWell the effect will be exactly what i am facing.... a busted front and rear suspension

I forgot to ask. what about the gearbox and a broken teeth in future ? Isn't there a great impact on the gear cogs when you dump the clutch ? I hear this unpleasant thud sound down below from gearbox portion when dump the clutch at higher rpms and I feel afraid. Infact, this is my biggest concern.. more than the clutch plates. what's your advise here ? be concerned or just have fun with the bike while I can ? I know in the end im solely responsible for any dmg to my bike, but it's nice to hear what fellow riders have to say about this and that.Last edited by broken87; 10-12-2013, 08:39 AM.

Re: Will Be grateful for any help!!!
Please specify which service it will be...? 5th or 6th,although you can have oil filter+oil change, brake pad clean, air filter change or clean, chain lubed, battery voltage checked,etc.....( check it in manual ,you will find everything)Originally posted by sagar_phoenix View PostI dont know whether anyone remembers me but i was one of the first owners of the 200 NS [ I call my bike 'The Phoenix'

2.AS YOUR BIKE IS FROM THE FIRST vibey batches, check whether yOU had RUBBER GROOMETS installed...(seriously i brought my bike in july and i see a piece of rubber brethren screws everywhere in my bike and TRUST ME,I HAVEN'T FELT EVEN A SINGLE VIBE(leaving those aside which are supposed to be given by 200cc bike),dont know why people have a fuss for vibe in this bike...
3.gears on this bike are tall and its a 200cc bike so,while shifting between 1-neutral-2 you may hear a loud tak noise, which is normal, regarding harsh gear.its because of time period usage as well as check when engine oil was changed,ALSO MAKE SURE THEY DRAIN OIL PROPERLY( for this start the bike, rev it few times so that engine becomes hot, then tell them to drain engine oil,and check that they are using new filter)
Have a nice ride
