Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Hi mate,Originally posted by faffy View PostHello guys, I need some expert advice here. I have July 2012 NS, and off late I am facing this weird handling issue which I am not sure how to describe. In slightly tight turns I feel like my handle is not free enough to turn it and if I turn it more I feel like the bike will skid ( rear tyre specially) whereas I dont feel like this on big turns. This feeling is more prominent when the road is wet or there is some gravel because of which I dont feel comfortable anymore riding it on wet roads. Also on straight road sometimes it feels like as if both tyres are not in straight line. P.S I suspected this to be tyre issue and have got both my tyres replaced recently but issue is the same. Also I noticed that my last rear tyre was worn out unevenly ( slightly more on right side) . I have got my cone set also replaced couple of times, and this issue I feel started after latest cone set change( which happened a year back) . I showed it to couple of SCs but all of them say that nothing is wrong but I am pretty sure that something is wrong for sure. Also please note that I have't had any accidents by gods grace , except one time when my bike skidded in monsoon due to uneven road and pothole.
Kindly suggest what could be wrong here? Is it something to do with fork out or wheel alignment and balancing ( SC and tyre shops says there is no need of it in two wheelers whereas I have seen many videos where they focus on wheel alignment)?
Also If anybody knows any FNG in Pune it would be very helpful.
Though am not an expert wish to share some point on the issue mentioned. Below are some points which has to be checked.
Front Wheel:
1. Cone set (Which you have changed)
2. Front forks - If you haven't changed yet try to replace.
3. Axle bolt/rod - If there is any bend in it will cause some affect in handling.
4. Wheel Bearings - Check for the bearing condition if needed replace.
5. Wheel/Tyre - Need to check for wheel balancing for proper rotation / Try to maintan appropriate tyre pressure.
Rear wheel:
1. Shock absorber - Check for functionality and oil seepage and needed replace. Malfunctioning shocks contributes majorly in handling.
2. Swing arm - Check for swing arm pivot/mounting points for any wear in the fasteners.
3. Axle bolt/rod - If there is any bend in it will cause some affect in handling.
4. Wheel bearings - Check for wear and tear
5. Wheel/Tyre - Need to check for wheel balancing for proper rotation / Try to maintan appropriate tyre pressure.
6. Drive chain distance plate - Always ensure the distance plates on both sides at same readings whenever changing the sprocket kit / adjusting the slackness.
Additional point - While changing tyres try to change both front and rear, also with same make and model. (Eg. MSR, CEAT Zoom XL, PSD, etc.)
Above are some major contributors for the handling issues. Kindly ignore the point which you already checked.

Thanks mateOriginally posted by faffy View PostThanks a lot dude....however does front forks need periodic replacement unless damaged?
Regards front fork - Normal telescopic is not durable like USD type, so there will be abnormalities between two stems. Hence if you are still on stock replacing at least the fork tubes will help a bit.

Yes the issue you have mentioned is related to clutch only.
How much vehicle had covered on the current set of clutch assy?

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Do you spend a lot of time in traffic? Do you have a lot of inclined roads where you live? Do you have a habit of holding the clutch and traffic stops? Do you throw rev bombs?Originally posted by Saurabh Tuli View Post22000 kms only
What you're facing is mostly clutch wear. If you doubt your mech take it to someone else for a second opinion

Mostly in traffic like slow moving traffic. But no inclined roads.Originally posted by Vicky_New_Guy View PostDo you spend a lot of time in traffic? Do you have a lot of inclined roads where you live? Do you have a habit of holding the clutch and traffic stops? Do you throw rev bombs?

200ns coolant and radiator
Hi guys, I own a p200ns and i had a long drive for 315kms at a steady speed at 90km. SUDDENLY I FOUND OUT THAT THE COOLANT RESERVOIR WAS EMPTY[emoji52]and that was a bad news to me then searched for LEAKS near the RADIATOR and ENGINE. I CUDNT FIND ANY CLUE. then went to some near workshop and filled her wid another set of coolant. After reaching home AGAIN I FOUND OUT THAT THE COOLANT RESERVOIR WAS EMPTY WITHOUT ANY CLUE.. And another problem was I checked wheather the radiator fan is working or not by tagging it with a piece of wire, but it didn't run then I pushed the fan by a long screwdriver and it started running.. I really am confused about this thing happening to my bike.
HAS ANYONE FACED THIS KINDOF A SITUATION?
WAT WILL BE THE SOLUTION FOR THIS?
PLEASE HELP

Ok ok. The stock clutch set lasts around 30k. If used mostly on city and ghat it may come down.Originally posted by Saurabh Tuli View Post22000 kms only
Hence in your case clutch may worn out, so change the same.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Yes it requires replacement. Kindly find the below pic for reference in which the friction plate (No.6) slots into the Kit Set Primary Drive & Driven Gear (No.3), between this slackness should be minimal. If it is high need to change the whole assembly.Originally posted by Saurabh Tuli View PostIt means my clutch is gone [emoji30] . First thing always check the coolant level at cold / slight warmed up condition.
Coming to the issue mentioned, if the coolant level getting low without any leakage means coolant mixed with exhaust and goes out. This happens when the gasket fails and allows coolant leaks from cooling passage to exhaust.
As you mentioned fan not working properly it may leads to overheating and gasket failure. Kindly find the attached photo for reference of the gasket (No.6).Last edited by Mohankumar Bruiser; 03-30-2018, 10:37 AM.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
I have found out that the engine oil has turned into chocolate cream colour... Has the coolant entered inside the ENGINE compartment? And from the exhaust whenever I raise the throttle I can see few water sprinklers and the smell is kind of somewhat different than petroleum smell from the exhaust....Originally posted by Mohankumar Bruiser View PostYes it requires replacement.
