Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Hello People,
I have a small question regarding riding a bike that hasn't been ridden for more than 2 weeks.
I met a small accident related to my toe and couldn't ride the bike for more than 3 weeks. I had gotten it serviced the very same day when I injured myyself in a separate incident. Would be great if someone could suggest me what steps should i take before i take the bike out for a ride or is it completely fine to just take it for a ride like a normal day.
Thanks in advance.
Abhishek

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
I also have to leave city time and again because of my job for almost a month so as my experience warm up your bike properly at first atleast 2-3 min. 3 weeks might give you a starting problem so use choke and start it. If it’s not alive then it better to do push start then relying on self start and check your tyre pressure right away cuz it tends to lose some pressure.Originally posted by ankuu99 View PostHello People,

First of all get well soon brother. Don't worry about the bike at all.
Now coming to the point. A bike idle for 3-4 weeks is not that big a deal. I spend 4 years in a engineering college hostel and would come home to my bike once every 3-4 months. All my father did was start the bike every few days (maybe once a week even) and let it idle for 10-15 minutes. it worked perfectly well. There is nothing to worry about the bike, it will be fine. start it with choke and let it idle for about 5 minutes, that is all. Also get the air pressure checked first thing when you take it out.
For the future, if you know that the bike is going to sit in the garage for a long time, ask anyone in the family to start the bike and let it run on neutral for 5 minutes every Sunday. That is all you need to do.
Get well soon brother and ride safe.I would like to thank my legs for supporting me, my arms for being always by my side and my fingers; I could always count on them.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
I am in a peculiar dilemma. I bought bleeder screw for both front and rear brakes as was the official part number. However the front bleeder screw is of bigger size.
The one on my brake was of 8mm but the new one bought is of 10mm.
I am attaching a picture (Since the screw had rusted, had to weld it to an iron plate to unscrew it)
And both the new screw was given as a pair for the front brake. One was silver while the other was golden in colour ( again i dont understand why they sent it as a pair when i ordered only one, both with same part number)
Has anyone tried changing the screw? And which bikes screw would be the same 8mm?

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
I think the spares guy has given you the bleeder for Endurance/Non Bybre kit and not Bybre. It is quite obvious their thread pitch is different - one can visually make out. GS uses a 8 mm bleeder and I guess so does Unicorn 150. Easiest way is to take the old welded nut or caliper to the store/spares shop and get a new one.Originally posted by berudulom View PostI am in a peculiar dilemma.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
The problem is that the Authorized shop here doesn't have bleeder screws so they ordered as per the part number given in the catalogue. Now even they are perplexed as what to do as the official part is not fitting.Originally posted by ashwanth.r View PostI think the spares guy has given you the bleeder for Endurance/Non Bybre kit and not Bybre. They have tried other pulsar's screw. 180's ones are same in radius but the thread pattern are thinner and so doesn't fit either. Now it's 2 weeks and my bike is just lying due to one tiny but crucial part missing.
Should i try unicorn's screw? And maybe duke's might fit??
