Hi members, i have completed about 550 kms and hence giving my motorcycle for 1st free service. I want to go to for a long drive (500+ km) after that. I want to know if i can cross the state and go to another one while the the vehicle is still in TR (valid till 28 Feb). I am currently in Telangana and i want to go to Andhra Pradesh. Will the long drive affect my motorcycle in anyway? I know my limits and will not overrev the engine as the vehicle is still new

Why would you want to do a long ride under heavily restricted conditions? Which you won't enjoy? . Youll have to stay under 5000-5500 RPM which means you can't even cruise at a speed . The engine will heat up to as it is in setting mode .

Don't suggest you to do long rides till second service , wait till the engine sets otherwise ull face a very uncomfortable ride and may just maybe end up damaging you engine .

Today when i was cleaning my bike, i noticed that the chain rubs against some vinyl/plasticy rubber material on my bike. Is this common in all NS 200? Or is there something wrong with my bike. I have attached the image for your reference purpose
Its a chain slider. Meant to avoid your chain slapping the swing arm.

From where to buy the 200NS stock stickers (2014 model) ? As SVC in my area is too dumb to place such orders

• never buy a pulsar 200ns

Bought my pulsar 200ns abs in January 2018, after doing lots of research and spending my hard earned money. Made one of the biggest mistake of my life buying this bike from bagga link karol bagh show room.

Took the delivery on 15th January evening and just next day low oil pressure malfunction started glowing on the instrument cluster.

Called the dealer staff was assured that it is nothing serious and I don't need to worry.
But as I knew what it means couldn't stop being worried. Visited the dealer but couldn't reproduce the problem in front of them, came back. Next day took pics , no one at the dealership ready to believe me, saying oil level is ok everything is good. Light glows every day. Visited the third time was asked to come in early morning, removed the tank checked the pressure sensor etc found OK. Topped up the oil was reassured again.

This ordeal continued until the bike crossed 500km and showroom people diclared that the bike is not there responsibility now and I should deal with the workshop now.
Meanwhile submitted the complaint on email and customer care number multiple times, the dealer would close the complaint the next day without even solving the problem or even seeing the bike.
Tried to reach Bajaj multiple times, no response.

Now the workshop part, the mechanic there refused to do anything unless he sees the malfunction with his own eyes, just plainly refused to trust my words or the photos in my phone. He was now on the mission to reproduce the malfunction maniacally revving the engine to full RPM limit. My bike was just at 520 kms at that time and was in run in period. Had to create a scene to stop him.
After that similar story every time and no resolution.

One day reached the workshop, while light was still glowing, so that they could finally believe me. Got the clutch cover replaced, issue not solved,
Got the oil pressure switch replaced , issue not solved,
Got the wiring harness replaced issue not solved.
Got the instrument cluster replaced issue not solved.
Tried to reach bajaj multiple times no response anywhere.
One day bike was still under a month old, stopped on a signal bike just died nothing on the cluster it was just dead pushed the bike till workshop , main fuse was blown. Got it replaced.
Now bike started to overheat , it was found that fan was not working got it replaced. Left the bike with bagga link for five days as they blamed me that i wasn't giving them enough time to solve the oil pressure issue.

Picked up the bike to oil pressure light still glowing. really frustrated with the bike , dealer and poor customer care of bajaj.
Need help. How should I proceed further, what are my options.
Odo is 781 kms as of today and bike is 37 days old. Bike purchased from bagga link karol bagh Delhi and dealing with them every time.

I completed my 500km ride from Hyderabad to Rajahmundry yesterday...It took me about 7 hours. I lost a lot of time in Vijayawada as i had could not find my way, thanks to diversions and flyover construction works....i switched to Motul 7100 20W 50 fully synthetic engine oil before my ride. This is my first highway ride since the purchase of the vehicle. I just want to summarize how my motorcycle performed...

Positives:

> The bike handled exceedingly well on highways

> No heating issues whatsoever

> I filled the tank to brim before my ride and did not have to refuel again for whole of my ride...which is just excellent for a 200cc vehicle. I was left with almost no fuel by the end of the trip.

> Brakes were very sharp and precise

> Horn is just fine

Negatives:

> Vibes, Vibes and Vibes.....I strongly believe the ideal safe cruising speed on Indian highways is 80 - 100kmph with occasional bursts to 120 - 130 when the roads are empty. But 200ns has whole lot of vibes in the above mentioned speed range (80 - 100). Switching to Motul only made the engine marginally smoother over stock engine oil...nothing really impressive. The vibrations at handlebars and the tank were almost unbearable at times...I wonder how reviewers on YouTube and other magazines do not mention about this downside of the bike. The vibrations almost robbed the whole pleasure of taking this bike on a long drive

> Being a naked bike, high speed (100+) stability is not all that great, especially if it is windy. This is something which i already expected

On the whole, it was a very good experience riding 200ns on a highway, if those niggling vibrations are ignored.

Oil pressure warning usually denotes low oil pressure, meaning oil isn't getting circulated optimally, thereby the components aren't getting lubed as well as they should.
This can happen due to a clogged oil filter. A new engine usually accumulates metal debris and that can clog the oil filter, thereby not allowing optimal pumping of the same.
Replace the oil filter.

Called the dealer staff was assured that it is nothing serious and I don't need to worry.

If the oil pressure indicator comes ON intermittently, one can only speculate around various factors and try to eliminate them one by one.
For starters, please see if there is any visible oil leakage around the engine.
Secondly, see if the oil pressure indicator is working fine and isn't dirty. Does the indicator come up every time "after" the bike is washed?

Next day took pics , no one at the dealership ready to believe me, saying oil level is ok everything is good. Light glows every day. Why was the oil topped if there was no loss in the first place? Excessive oil will cause leakages and blow-by.

This ordeal continued until the bike crossed 500km and showroom people diclared that the bike is not there responsibility now and I should deal with the workshop now.

That's true. After you roll out of the showroom, all maintenance shall be dealt with the service center.

Meanwhile submitted the complaint on email and customer care number multiple times, the dealer would close the complaint the next day without even solving the problem or even seeing the bike.
Tried to reach Bajaj multiple times, no response.

Try to catch them on their Twitter handle or Facebook if you wish to escalate the issue. Though I feel that this can be resolved at the lower roots level. If you still want to inform people higher up, you can join the social media bandwagon.

Now the workshop part, the mechanic there refused to do anything unless he sees the malfunction with his own eyes, just plainly refused to trust my words or the photos in my phone.

Standard protocols I presume. I've seen them give more weightage to videos than pics, probably because a video captures the entire issue happening and leaves them with little to refute.

He was now on the mission to reproduce the malfunction maniacally revving the engine to full RPM limit. My bike was just at 520 kms at that time and was in run in period. Had to create a scene to stop him.

This should have been recorded. Most mechanics are uneducated and have no respect for a customer's vehicle. One should see how lovingly they ride their Activas to the SVC, only to rip customers' rides later.
Take down the full name of the SA (Service Advisor) and Chotu (mechanic assigned) if possible.

One day reached the workshop, while light was still glowing, so that they could finally believe me. Got the clutch cover replaced, issue not solved,

Clutch cover only houses the components, it wouldn't solve the issue most of the time.

Got the oil pressure switch replaced , issue not solved,

Check for grime/water around the switch. Try WD40.

Got the wiring harness replaced issue not solved.

Which wiring harness?

Got the instrument cluster replaced issue not solved.

This was unnecessary.

Tried to reach bajaj multiple times no response anywhere.
One day bike was still under a month old, stopped on a signal bike just died nothing on the cluster it was just dead pushed the bike till workshop , main fuse was blown. Got it replaced.

That's plain bad luck and probably a result of small issues aggregating to be a big one.

Now bike started to overheat , it was found that fan was not working got it replaced. Left the bike with bagga link for five days as they blamed me that i wasn't giving them enough time to solve the oil pressure issue.

Was it the fan or the radiator not working optimally? Check the relay for the same. It usually is a blown fuse and not the entire componentry.

Picked up the bike to oil pressure light still glowing. really frustrated with the bike , dealer and poor customer care of bajaj.
Need help. How should I proceed further, what are my options.

Read more on the bike. And the manual. Sadly, one has to learn the basics today as SVC isn't competent enough. Also, they can't fool you giving lame excuses and service charges.

Odo is 781 kms as of today and bike is 37 days old. Bike purchased from bagga link karol bagh Delhi and dealing with them every time.
